The two snipers were about to leave the scene, Su Xiaocai released a tracking spider. The spider, about the size of a fingertip, had an environntal simulation feature, making it invisible.
They crawled onto the wall.
As the snipers exited the hallway, they swiftly jumped onto the cash-laden backpack.
Feeling sothing strange, they turned their heads, but saw no one. They glanced upward at the surveillance cara resting against a lamp post. Normally, these caras would float around during the day, and no wrongdoers in the residential area could avoid their "patrol."
Today, however, they were resting by the lamp post, clearly rendered useless.
The two snipers, seeing no reason to worry, hefted their backpacks again and left quickly.
As they passed by Su Xiaocai’s car, they turned to look only to see Kaye in the front seat, head lowered, engrossed in his communicator.
In the back seat, Su Xiaocai pressed down Ji Li, the two hiding behind a seat, holding their breaths lightly.
Only when the snipers were far away did the two sit up again.
Ji Li rubbed his face, having been pressed into the back of the seat by Su Xiaocai, his face nearly flattened. This girl, she sure had strength.
"Can you be gentler with next ti?"
"I was very gentle." When she’s rough, she could press his face into the seat back, crushing his bones.
Ji Li felt suffocated, weak and helpless—was it his fault?
Soon after, a voice ca through the headphones again.
"Brother Yi, you asked to withdraw money, who are you planning to deal with?"
"Your brother’s brother." The male voice was indifferent, as if killing soone was as simple as drinking water.
"Why... why would you want to do that? I’ve already decided to break ties with his family."
"Yes, you are cutting ties with him. But are you really willing to? You’ve liked him for so many years, on what grounds does he have to just break up with you."
"You don’t want to break up with him, so I’ll help you. If the target dies, he’ll be sad and upset, this is your chance. Their family values emotions, take this opportunity to comfort him, get close, then continue the relationship."
"There’s no need to deal with him, if found out, you’ll end up in prison. I’m just feeling so injustice, but it’s no big deal. You don’t have the Yi Family backing you anymore..."
The male voice interrupted the female voice, "No need to worry, his death now is beneficial to you, as long as the engagent isn’t broken, the future of both families will be in your hands."
"Brother Yi, I know you an well, but promise , don’t do this again."
After a long pause, the male voice softly said, "Alright."
"Thank you, I have to go, I used the excuse of delivering a new design to my father to see you, if I don’t leave soon, I’ll be discovered. Take care."
"Always speak up if you feel wronged. I can’t help financially for the ti being, but I still have my old connections, they’ll help you sowhat."
"Okay, thank you, I’ll find ways to visit more often."
Su Xiaocai and Ji Li shivered slightly, "These two sound a bit ambiguous."
Kaye in the front seat was also curious about what Su Xiaocai heard, his expression mischievous, as if the headphones were revealing so unspeakable secret.
Driven by curiosity, Su Xiaocai sent the chanical cat on a risky venture, stealthily crawling onto the balcony, poking out half its tiny head, revealing a scene.
Xue Huiyi and Yi Suilu were embracing, gazing deeply into each other’s eyes.
Su Xiaocai was shocked, "Aren’t they cousins?" Even if born of a mistress, their familial bloodline couldn’t be more than five degrees apart.
Xue Huiyi surely knew this, no matter how desperate, she’d understand playing at incest was a route straight to social ostracization, her reputation turned to ashes.
Just as Su Xiaocai hoped for more explosive revelations, Xue Huiyi pushed Yi Suilu away, "I’m leaving, be careful, change your residence."
"I understand, I’m of no use anymore."
"No, I won’t allow you to think that way. Live well, wait for to restore your status."
"Alright, I’ll certainly live well." Yi Suilu’s voice was low but carried the affectionate tone of a young pup.
Su Xiaocai asked Ji Li, "Is this the legendary falsetto?"
"Yes, it is."
"Try a falsetto for ." Su Xiaocai thought Ji Li’s falsetto must sound nice too.
"Little miss, shouldn’t we hide, she’s coming down?" Ji Li directly switched to authoritative female voice.
"Wow!" Su Xiaocai discovered a new world, "That’s amazing, did you study in a voice acting class?"
Kaye cleared his throat, and with indistinguishable child’s voice, said, "It’s actually quite simple, our dorm often played like this."
Then he switched to a crisp woman’s voice, "She’s coming."
