Interstellar Number One Farmer: I Only Want To Farm! Chapter 628 - 190: Anxiety Before Dawn (Part 2)
Only if everything completely falls will he be able to keep it hidden.
Once the gambler’s ntality kicks in, whatever conscience is left disappears, and humanity goes with it.
From the mont Li Kuanyun accepted that money, there was no way back; only dead n tell no tales.
The distance was too great—how was he supposed to pull it off?
"You absolutely must not go out to fight, and you can’t help either. We’ve found a Mother here, the situation’s bad, so it has to be even worse on your side. If you run into a Mother, you’re dead for sure... so do your best to talk the others out of going out too. Our lives are worth a hell of a lot more than those Blue Star people."
Looking at the contestants who had already gone out in droves, his underling didn’t dare tell him the truth.
Li Kuanyun couldn’t control whether what he said got intercepted anyway; nothing he said contained any key intel.
Once again, his self-styled cleverness backfired; this very ssage was flagged for special investigation, kicking off a whole chain reaction.
...
The people at the arena were watching the chanical Planet’s movents closely, while on Blue Star, more and more Insect n were massing.
They were fighting cha hard in the stratosphere, blocking the light projected down onto Blue Star.
The sky overhead was shrouded in dark clouds.
Lightning flashed through them; it looked no different from doomsday.
Terrifying booms rolled one after another, endlessly, like they ant to wipe out the whole world.
"Teacher Su, you’ve been watching for so long—why aren’t you making a move yet?" Professor Zhang sneered.
"If I leave, who’s going to protect you?" Su Xiaocai dragged over a little stool, sat down, and held up a strip of jerky to feed Huahua. "It’s my first ti seeing soone so eager to rush off and die."
The Bodyguards protecting her had been fighting for a long ti, but the Insect n weren’t getting any fewer.
Su Xiaocai knew sothing was wrong.
No matter how strong an Insect Mother’s fertility was, she couldn’t withstand concentrated artillery from a full unit.
If the chanical Planet had only one Mother trying to stand against whole units and still keep production up, then Blue Star had to have at least three or four Mothers.
They knew of two Mothers in space, so what about the ground?
It had to be unexpected, and it couldn’t get exposed.
Su Xiaocai lowered her head to look at the multiple images Xing Miao had sent back, and her fingertip circled the area beneath the space station.
The Insect n density in that spot was obviously wrong.
Suddenly a missile streaked across the sky, a pillar of fire shooting up; the blast was so fierce that the sarcastic Professor Zhang broke out in a cold sweat.
That missile had clearly been flying toward the detached villa; midway, its signal was jamd, it couldn’t lock on, and only then did it explode sowhere else.
Su Xiaocai stared coldly in the direction the missile had co from; there were quite a few people trying to fish in troubled waters.
How many was this now? One missile could be called an accident—what about more than a dozen?
They were all human, yet even while fighting Aliens they still couldn’t resist taking targeted potshots. Pretty damn pathetic.
Fortunately, this country wasn’t fighting as a bunch of separate fiefdoms; the ones stirring up secession were a tiny minority.
First, she reported the abnormal situation at the space station to Colonel Yuan and told him to send people to handle it.
Right now Admiral Bai was locked in a brutal fight with an Insect Mother and the Insect Man Warriors and had no energy to spare for anything else.
Su Xiaocai’s intel had been set to the highest priority; Colonel Yuan was monitoring it personally, and when he saw it he almost jumped out of his chair.
He barely had any manpower left who could take on an Insect Mother.
But Su Xiaocai was never one to talk without a solid plan, so he sent out three lieutenant colonels. "Get in contact with the contestant Xing Miao and operate together with her."
The intel was obtained by Xing Miao, so the job was also dumped on her. After fighting for nearly half a day straight, Xing Miao almost swore at Colonel Yuan for being a scher, treating one ox like ten head of oxen and horses, practically trying to squeeze every last drop of potential out of her.
And it wasn’t just the space station that had gone wrong; the underground shelters people were hiding in had problems too.
Nobody knew when, but several Insect n wearing human skins had slipped into an underground air-raid shelter and started a massacre inside.
It just so happened a lot of reporters were there, and the live broadcast was gory as hell; luckily, the major platforms proactively turned on smart filters to ban it.
That forced Xing Miao to pull off so contestants to help with rescue, move people to another location, and fight while also worrying about the rear—she was run ragged.
To rescue the hostages at the space station, she went even more "crooked," catching Acid-spitting Worms to dissolve the space station’s water conduits.
A space station needed plenty of water, most of which was pumped up through built water channels; Blue Star’s space station was the sa.
The water conduits connected to the station’s water tanks, and when the tanks were periodically cleaned, the flow was reversed, sending the water back down from the station to the ground.
Xing Miao used that feature to evacuate the hostages quickly.
After that, she worked alongside the three lieutenant colonels to locate the Mother, then coordinated with the ground troops and the contestants to set up a trap, draw the Mother’s aggro, and grind it to death in a military base not far from a public toilet.
Orchestrating a whole war against an Insect Mother left Xing Miao without rest for three days straight; she hadn’t even shut her eyes once.
