With the Hulk's powerful blows, the ground of the suspended town suddenly shook violently. Cracks spread rapidly from where Carol had been smashed, and the abandoned town, along with the ground itself, began to shatter and crumble apart.
Everyone scread in shock and alarm. They were not true enemies, but rather friends fighting each other. Whenever the ground beneath them broke apart, they tacitly avoided attacking each other, carefully moving to steady themselves on stable pieces. As the shattered ground and the ruins of the town scattered, everyone was forcibly separated onto different floating pieces.
Sebastian, still maintaining his position above the shattered ground, glanced at Raina's position and, with a single thought, the suspended ground where Raina stood suddenly accelerated, plumting rapidly towards the earth far below with her on it.
But at that mont, Carol, who had just been knocked down by the Hulk, suddenly soared up from the crater. She grabbed Raina's arm and carried her back to the floating surface where the others were standing. She angrily shouted at Sebastian, "Sebastian, you are so despicable and cowardly!"
Sebastian ignored Carol completely. He had intended to force Raina into a life-or-death situation, hoping to draw out the Shadow Council mbers behind her. But unfortunately, Sebastian did not wait for them, only for the interfering Carol to rescue her.
Without hesitation, Sebastian swung his wand violently, and magical mist swirled around the floating surfaces, transforming into dark storm clouds that enveloped the floating islands. The once bright sky was now completely gloomy and dark, and thunder brewed within the clouds, as if ready to strike at any mont.
"Sebastian, do not even think about it!"
Carol, once again transforming into her Binary form, pounced directly at Sebastian in mid-air.
But at that mont, the dark clouds surrounding the shattered floating ground shot out blinding lightning from above, below, and from the left and right, bombarding Carol from all directions. She could barely move forward, and even the possibility of landing on a nearby floating island was completely eliminated. She was tossed up and down in the air like a ball, unable to control her body or movents.
"Damn it, Sebastian Shaw!"
Buzz buzz buzz buzz...
Bolts of photon energy shot out from Carol's body, firing wildly in all directions. Most of them blocked the incoming lightning bolts, but a few stray shots struck towards Sebastian and Tony, Steve, and the others below!
Having blocked most of the incoming lightning, Carol roared in anger and thrust out both hands. A massive beam of photon energy, thicker than usual, shot out from both hands, heading straight for Sebastian.
With a flick of his wand, a translucent shield covered in glowing magic circles and intricate patterns ford in front of Sebastian, blocking Carol's attack head-on!
Seraphim Shield!
Boom...
A resounding roar echoed across the sky.
Sebastian thrust his wand forward, and the Seraphim Shield imdiately pushed against Carol with trendous force. Though Carol continuously increased her power output, she could not withstand the Seraphim Shield's pressure. She was pinned directly to the floating island below, pressed down tightly, her body gradually sinking into the cracked ground. No matter how Carol resisted or how she mobilized her strength, she was powerless against it.
Carol knew that if she continued like this, she would be defeated by Sebastian again, just like the previous two tis.
The first ti was accidental, the second was bad luck. If the third ti was the sa, it would only prove that Carol Danvers was not as powerful as she thought. She was simply no match for Sebastian!
With this thought, Carol roared with fury, and the photon energy within her body completely exploded, continuously drawing on the mysterious cosmic power within her. The light she radiated beca brighter and brighter, until she transford into a pure humanoid figure of blazing light!
"AHHH!"
Carol scread, unleashing a staggering amount of raw energy. Orange and blue photon energy, centered around Carol's body, violently spread outward in all directions. In a split second, it destroyed Sebastian's Seraphim Shield completely. However, the escaping energy also destroyed the island beneath Carol, and even most of the surrounding floating islands were obliterated.
At this mont, Carol had no other thoughts in her mind but her single focus: utterly defeating Sebastian Shaw. As for the fate of the others caught in her blast, Carol no longer cared about them.
Boom!
A massive amount of photon energy expanded relentlessly outward like wildfire. Sebastian watched the photon energy surge toward him rapidly. Just as he was about to unleash the power of Hellfire or Gravitation to counter it, he felt a sudden throbbing in his heart, as if guided by so mysterious presence. He waved his wand and unleashed a different spell!
Expecto Patronum!
A white mist of light gushed out from his wand, first transforming into a raven made of light. Then, the raven patronus rapidly transford into its second form, a magnificent silver-white bird resembling a phoenix. Emitting a holy white light, it plunged headfirst into the vast expanse of photon energy released by Carol.
The surging photon energy, as Sebastian's patronus entered it, gradually transford into a swirling vortex of photon energy, spinning in midair and converging toward its center where the patronus flew.
Carol could clearly feel the photon energy within her body being continuously drained away, threatening to slip completely out of her control.
This sudden change startled Carol greatly, but she finally regained so of her composure. She looked down and watched Tony, Steve, and the others beginning to plumt toward the ground far below, wanting desperately to rescue them. However, at that mont, glowing portals appeared beneath all the flightless people, sending them directly and safely into the wilderness below, leaving only a vast crater where the town had been.
Coincidentally, there happened to be an underground water source in the huge crater left behind when Sebastian had lifted this abandoned town into the air. A large amount of water quickly filled the huge pit, creating a massive lake in this barren wilderness. It could be seen that as long as enough ti passed, this place would soon beco an oasis.
At the sa ti, Raina looked at the Avengers and the Illuminati mbers who were sent safely to the ground by the portals and cursed angrily, because Sebastian still had no intention of sending her back to the ground with them. Seeing the ground getting closer and closer as she continued falling, Raina finally did not dare to continue gambling with her life and shouted loudly in desperation, "Doctor Doom! Save right now!"
