The civilians of Xandar had basically all gone into hiding in secure shelters. The Nova Corps had already marched outwards to et the enemy. Xandar's surface defense system had also been fully activated. Everything was ready and poised for action.
Outside Xandar's orbital space, the Nova Corps' fleet had co into close contact with the Black Order's fleet. A major space battle had already begun.
However, as the battle between the two fleets continued to rage, the faces of the Nova Corps' leaders gradually beca grim with realization.
They had never imagined that the Black Order, who always led the charge and mainly engaged in boarding and landing operations, would send such a powerful and technologically advanced fleet to Xandar this ti. Sebastian smiled and asked. "Cannot wait any longer?"
Nodding eagerly, Bill replied. "Yes, I cannot wait to test my strength against them. Besides, the vanguard forces must have the Black Order mbers with them. I would like to et them in battle."
"Alright, go ahead and fight. Be careful out there."
Without further words, Bill saluted Sebastian respectfully. He walked out of the command room onto the square outside. Raising his Black Thunder Hamr high in his hand, he instantly soared into the air. He charged at breakneck speed towards the Black Order's vanguard ships which had already penetrated the atmosphere.
Boom!
Using his Black Thunder Hamr's power, Bill slamd directly into a warship's hull.
Once inside the ship, he swung the hamr with imnse force. He unleashed a massive gravitational force. With a single powerful blow, he not only sent the charging Black Order soldiers flying backwards, but he also lifted up the ground beneath them, the surrounding walls, and the ceiling above. The gravity manipulation within the hamr instantly crippled the warship's structural integrity. It exploded in the sky above Xandar.
Amidst the blazing flas and debris, a figure burst forth from the explosion. Bill slamd into another nearby warship, destroying it in its turn with the sa devastating force.
Having destroyed two warships in a row, Bill was no longer content to continue destroying them one by one slowly. He raised his Black Thunder Hamr high above his head. He summoned a massive bolt of lightning from the sky. As Bill controlled the lightning with his will, it swiftly descended upon the other warships. It exploded across their surfaces and inflicted severe damage to their systems.
At this point, the abnormalities outside were finally noticed by the Black Order leaders.
The hatch of the largest warship in the center of the vanguard forces opened wide. General Corvus Glaive and Ebony Maw erged one after another. They stared at Beta Ray Bill who was soaring through the air, swinging his sledgehamr with devastating effect. Both of them had a look of surprise on their faces.
"Is this Thor Odinson from Asgard?"
Shaking his head, Ebony Maw replied carefully. "He is not Thor. Although he bears a strong resemblance to that Asgardian in fighting style, he is not even Asgardian in origin. I think it has sothing to do with the hamr he wields in battle."
"That is a sha! I thought we could eliminate a major enemy of the Avengers right here. But now it seems we can only take out a minor one."
"General Corvus Glaive, do not be so careless about this."
"I understand your concern. Send over now, or these warships will be destroyed before landing."
Upon hearing General Corvus Glaive's words, Ebony Maw did not hesitate. He unleashed a powerful telekinetic force that launched General Corvus Glaive directly toward Bill's position. Then he turned around, closed the hatch behind him, and began to order the fleet to accelerate their descent to the surface.
Corvus Glaive swung his glaive weapon through the air. In a flash, he was right in front of Bill. He stabbed at Bill's back with his blade.
But at that mont, as if he had eyes on his back, Bill swung his Black Thunder Hamr in a backhanded strike. He smashed the slashing glaive away. At the sa ti, Bill turned his body around. He grabbed Corvus Glaive's neck with his free hand. With hatred burning on his face, he held Corvus Glaive's neck tightly. He flew straight towards the ground below.
Although the power of the Black Thunder Hamr allowed Bill to fly freely through the air, he was not very skilled at aerial combat yet. He preferred to deal Corvus Glaive a fatal blow from solid ground!
Bang!
Bill landed on the ground with trendous force. He threw Corvus Glaive away from him violently.
After sorsaulting in mid-air to recover, Corvus Glaive landed on the ground on his feet. His glaive was clutched in one hand. He looked at Bill carefully. He said. "Do we know each other from sowhere?"
"You once led your army to destroy my planet. I was the sole survivor of my people."
"I have destroyed countless planets and races in my service to Thanos. It is impossible for to rember those who failed to defend themselves. But you are truly foolish. Since you escaped disaster, you should not appear before again. Now, the last survivor of your race will be completely wiped out of this world."
With this declaration, Corvus Glaive swung his glaive weapon violently. He slowly walked towards Bill nacingly.
Seeing this, Bill also raised his Black Thunder Hamr. He walked towards Corvus Glaive with determination.
Their speed increased gradually until they were within striking range of each other. They both disappeared in an instant with blinding speed. Then the roar of the glaive and the Black Thunder Hamr colliding rang out suddenly.

Lightning flashed from the impact. But Bill did not retreat a single step backward. He grabbed the handle of the Black Thunder Hamr with both hands firmly. With his strong muscular arms, he swung the hamr with great force. He attacked General Corvus Glaive repeatedly with powerful strikes.
