The six young heroes sat on seats next to the hot dog stand in the amusent park, eating and discussing so things about the Young Avengers and their future.
"For the next year, I will lead everyone to complete missions as your captain," Peter explained. "When the year is over, I will recomnd the most suitable person to be the captain to Mr. Stark and Captain Rogers. At that ti, you will really need to handle the relevant issues of the Young Avengers yourselves."
The five teenagers present did not have any objection whatsoever to Peter becoming their captain. They were all well-mannered teenagers with good upbringings. Moreover, they had absolutely no reason to object to Peter Parker, the Spider-Man who had participated in the legendary Thanos war and survived.
Everyone nodded in agreent without hesitation. After deciding on the captain, they talked about their respective strengths and abilities, which was considered a preliminary understanding of each other. Just as Peter was about to discuss the Young Avengers' partners and procedures in carrying out missions, the ground of the entire amusent park suddenly shook violently.
Suddenly, a huge whirlpool appeared in the middle of the river not far away. A silver light shot out from the whirlpool with trendous force, unleashing a trendous surge of power that spread outwards in all directions. This caused massive damage to the nearby amusent park structures. The bridge nearby collapsed entirely with a trendous crash, and pedestrians scread in terror as they fell into the river below.
All six heroes reacted incredibly quickly to the ergency. Peter leaped out imdiately, continuously shooting out webs to suspend most of the tourists who had fallen into the water above the surface. However, no matter how fast he was, he was ultimately overwheld by the sheer number of those who had fallen. The number of tourists in the river was too great to save them all by himself.
Just as Peter was becoming increasingly anxious about the situation, the bodies of the tourists began to float in mid-air suddenly. Peter turned to look and saw Priya holding her wand in one hand. Clearly, she had rescued the tourists with her magic.
Peter let out a sigh of relief, just as he was about to pull the tourists ashore safely, when screams rang out again from not far away. The roller coaster in the distance, malfunctioning from the earlier shockwave, was dangling precariously in the air. A middle-aged woman was clinging desperately to the malfunctioning handrail, about to fall to her death.
Without hesitation, Peter imdiately prepared to rescue her, but then he noticed the Ferris wheel on the other side swaying precariously, on the verge of complete collapse!
Just as Peter hesitated about which ergency to handle first, he heard Priya's voice calling out to him.
"Captain, do not forget about us!"
Hearing this reminder, Peter realized his mistake and imdiately shouted out orders, "Ant-Girl, Hawkeye, you two handle the roller coaster situation. Iceman, you and I will handle the Ferris wheel. Iron Lad and Priya, you two track that silver light. Do not get too close to it. Just identify what it is. Focus on reconnaissance only!"
"Understood!" the team responded.
"Okay!" they confird together.
The five responded and imdiately began their operation with perfect coordination.
Harley Keener reached out and pressed his watch. Instantly, a large number of nanobots covered his body completely, forming a suit of armor similar to Tony's Iron Man suit, yet distinctly different. The mask of this armor was slightly curved, and the eyes were two narrow, slightly upward-sloping slits that glowed blue. The overall color sche of the armor was gold, silver, and red in an eye-catching pattern.
With the armor covering his entire body, Iron Lad imdiately took to the air. He used his repulsors in his hands and feet, along with the six propulsion devices on his back, to push off together. He chased after the silver light that had not yet gone far.
At this mont, Priya transford into a white mist of light, closely following after him. She used Apparition, the advanced magical transportation thod!
At the sa ti, Iceman Bobby and Peter rushed to the Ferris wheel at top speed. Peter used his spider webs to quickly reach the central axle of the Ferris wheel. Seeing the axle gradually detaching from its moorings, he imdiately shot out multiple strands of spider webs to connect the Ferris wheel to the support fra, preventing the Ferris wheel from collapsing imdiately.
Iceman Bobby used the frozen ice beneath his feet to glide into the air gracefully. He shot out two beams of frost energy from his hands to gradually stabilize the Ferris wheel's connection, finally bringing it to a complete standstill.
"Phew... finally done," Peter said with relief. "Now, over at the roller coaster..."
Peter looked up at the roller coaster and imdiately saw the enlarged Ant-Girl Cassie Lang catching people off the coaster one by one with her giant hands. anwhile, the masked second Hawkeye Kate Bishop was dispersing the crowd below to safety. Their teamwork was excellent, with no major oversights or mistakes.
"Now let us see if Iron Lad and Priya have found anything," Peter said.
The Chase
As the crisis at the amusent park was gradually resolved, Priya, who had transford into a white mist through Apparition, was chasing the Silver Surfer alongside Iron Lad. The Silver Surfer clearly did not take them seriously at all, ticulously asuring the Earth to create markers, awaiting the arrival of Galactus.
Harley Keener looked at the Silver Surfer ahead, then glanced at Priya beside him. He was regretting not giving his prepared communication equipnt to the others upon eting, so he would not be unable to contact Priya now at this critical mont.
With this thought in mind, Harley decided not to delay any longer. Just as he was about to accelerate to intercept the Silver Surfer, he suddenly discovered that the Silver Surfer had disappeared into the mountain below without a trace.
Harley imdiately gave chase to investigate, but just as he approached the mountain, the space behind him suddenly fluctuated with energy. The Silver Surfer slowly appeared behind him, reaching out to grab Harley's neck with his silver hand.
Whoosh!
Iron Lad's armor imdiately sounded an alarm. Two blue launchers popped out from his shoulders, firing two high-powered electric currents directly at the Silver Surfer. This caused the Silver Surfer to freeze montarily. Harley used this opportunity to quickly create distance, turned around, and his weapon systems popped out. He fired a large number of small missiles at the Silver Surfer.
Boom boom boom...
A series of explosions engulfed the Silver Surfer completely. Seeing that the ti was right, Harley prepared to launch the capture device. But just as the net-like capture device was launched, a hand suddenly reached out from the flas of the explosion and crushed the still-unactivated spherical capture device effortlessly.
A silver beam shot from the Silver Surfer's other hand, aid directly at Iron Lad with deadly precision.
But at that mont, Priya suddenly appeared in front of Harley through Apparition. Her wand unleashed a red bolt of lightning—Protego Maxima!
Crack!
Boom!
Energy dissipated outwards in a shockwave. Priya's body flew backwards into Harley's arms from the impact. The two of them fell directly towards the forest below.
Harley caught Priya and landed in the forest as safely as possible. Just as he was about to release Priya, he saw the Silver Surfer slowly approaching them nacingly. The trees that had been blocking him seed to warp and move aside under his power, while an invisible force bound Priya and Harley tightly, rendering them unable to move even an inch!
