Now reading: Chapter 26: Investment 26— Summit of The Four Seasons from Investing in My Yandare Villainess Fiancée:Each Reward Fuels My Growth, a Fantasy novel by ItsMyrix.

The summit of the four seasons had never been held ever since the Era of Darkness. According to the legends passed down from era to era, there were mages in those days who could manipulate dinsions and magic swordsn that could cleave rifts in the skies.

It was described as when the world of Hale was at its peak. Dubbed as the Era Nova. When the Dark God and his forces invaded, they destroyed multiple civilizations, taking with them ancient spells that still couldn’t be recreated today.

Forgotten relics that few to none knew how to use due to lack of information.

It was then that the four seasons held their first summit in history to pledge their allegiance to the one who was destined to banish the darkness from the world.

Now was the ti for the truth to be unveiled after four centuries of lies.

A round table appeared along with four specially designed chairs for each of the seasons. They were asked to sit by the vassals.

"Can I just use the couch instead?" Elliot asked them to leave him with the couch since he was most comfortable on it.

With everyone seated, it was ti to begin, but first Elliot had sothing he would like to address.

"Aren’t you guys surprised to see here? I an, I’m not one of the four seasons, but I just happened to be in your summit," he said with an unsure tone.

"Oh Elliot-chan. I knew you would ask that question too, dear. Well, as for , I found out two days ago when I got a telepathic ssage from Lord Yuki saying that you were the chosen one we have been waiting for all these years, but I shouldn’t tell you."

Seria exhaled deeply. An extrely heavy weight had been lifted off her chest.

"I told Yuki I couldn’t keep anything from my beloved, but he kept insisting. Tsk." She directed a faint killing intent at Yuki.

"Now, now Seria, I’m sure he had his reasons," Elliot cald her down.

"Tsk. I didn’t realise they were already this close," Yuki grunted inwardly.

"But at least now I don’t have to worry about her feeling lonely." A mild smile spread across his lips.

"If you say so, Elliot-chan." She bead.

"As for the rest of them, why don’t they explain it to you exactly how they told when I used a bit of extre force?" A terrifying aura surrounded her.

"Don’t worry, I’ll take the blow for us all," Taumus quickly replied.

"Taumus, did I ever tell you, you are such an amazing guy?" Deria hid behind Kalehan.

"I always knew you had it in you." Edith ran to the back of Caldiya.

"You guys are a bunch of cowards." He mourned over the fact they literally just abandoned him.

"We are counting on you." They both gave him a thumbs up.

"Elliot, rember how I said I changed rooms because my space got taken?"

Taumus turned towards Elliot.

"Yes." Elliot nodded his head.

"Well, I lied," Taumus blurted out.

"What?" Even though his reason didn’t make sense to Elliot, he still believed him.

"It’s not just that lied. Deria and Edith also lied about not knowing you. Why did you think they were so nice to you to begin with?"

Taumus ensured that he wouldn’t go down alone.

"And also that whole introduction thing in the garden was a farce. We already knew each other since we were like two," he added in a fit of anger.

"Seria. But you said Edith and Deria were your only childhood friends." Elliot’s gaze shifted towards Seria.

"I’m super sorry I lied. But I wouldn’t consider Taumus a childhood friend. He’s more of a nuisance." Seria’s words hit Taumus directly in the heart and he fell from his chair.

"Taumus, are you okay?" Draken held him up.

"No old man. I want to return to the Sky Father this instant," he muttered in emotional distress.

"The Sky Father is long gone." Draken placed Taumus back on his seat. The words he just said carried a lot of emotional weight.

"Elliot, I believe your questions have all been quelled," Caldiya asked.

"Yes, of course." He replied.

"Then let’s begin the summit." Her voice carried boldly.

"What’s up with Caldiya?" Deria asked Kalehan.

"It seems hearing the na of our dead master has put her in a rather sober mood," he answered.

"Dead master," Deria mused.

"Starting with the truth about the Great Banishnt that occurred four hundred years ago," Caldiya stated.

"As the centuries have passed, the true story was twisted by corrupt individuals who wished to derail the future generation for their own gain," she added.

The four vassals stood from their thrones. They all stretched forth their hands and a white, pristine, hexagon-shaped crystal manifested at the middle of the table, floating calmly above their heads.

"Instead of telling you a boring story, why don’t you see it for yourselves?" Yuki grinned.

"Awaken, O forgotten mories of the past." They all began to chant in a synchronized manner.

"Take us back to the mont where it all began."

The crystal started to spin rapidly, flashing lights on their faces. The four seasons, vassals, and Elliot were pulled upwards slowly such that they were levitating.

"In the na of the Four Vassals of Creation."

The invisible force beca stronger and started to pull them closer to the crystal.

"Eight Trigrams. Open!"

They were all sucked into the crystal in a blur. They appeared floating in a landscape close to a mountain range. The structures beneath them looked rural and underdeveloped.

"Where are we?" Taumus took a second to wrap his head around the beautiful scenery around them.

"Welco to the end of Era Nova and the beginning of the Era of Darkness."

Kalehan pointed his hand downwards.

"Whoa, whoa. Those birds are going to run into us." Deria took a step back.

"No they aren’t. Watch." Yuki stretched out his palm and a bird passed straight through it.

"Are we ghosts? Don’t tell we just died." Deria clutched her hair in a fit of fear.

"No we aren’t," Draken answered. "Yuki knows how to put this kind of stuff together better. But in my own language, we are currently astral posting." He said, looking upwards and unsure.

"Astral projecting," Yuki let out a defeated sigh.

Their bodies were currently in astral form.

They couldn’t be felt or touched by the people or things in the mories.

Below them, a farr was diligently creating ridges in his farmland on a sunny afternoon. Clear skies, no sign of rain or storms. The perfect ti to prepare one’s farmland.

Then suddenly a crack appeared a few steps away from him. It appeared like a mirror that was about to break. The cracks expanded by centitres, then it shattered.

On the other side was nothing but darkness devoid of any sign of life. Then two pairs of huge purple eyeballs erged in the darkness.

Out of curiosity, the farr went in for a closer look.

"Yuki, I think we should stop." Elliot’s body moved forward by instinct.

Yuki placed a hand in front of him. "I’m afraid you can’t. His fate is already set in stone."

"What do you an?" Elliot couldn’t understand what Yuki was saying. All he wanted to do was save the innocent man.

The mont the farr stretched his neck forward, a wide mouth filled with teeth that he couldn’t count bit off his head in an instant.
