"Ning Muqing? Why are you standing here? Where is he?"

Just as Ning Muqing stood there in a daze, a voice suddenly spoke from beside her. A middle-aged man in a Secret Inspection Bureau uniform approached. He was the Bureau staff mber responsible for receiving them at this secret facility.

The middle-aged man glanced at Ning Muqing, then at the empty vehicle beside her, and asked with a hint of confusion.

"He… went in by himself…"

Ning Muqing said softly.

"Oh, is that so? I suppose that makes sense. A master of his caliber, coming and going as he pleases, probably wouldn't want to waste ti with us here."

The middle-aged man shook his head and sighed, as if he were used to this sort of thing.

"Co on, don't just stand here. Since he went on ahead, let's wait in the gatehouse tea room for a bit."

The middle-aged man said to Ning Muqing with a smile.

"That's not it. This is a secure facility, after all. I'm not worried about his safety, but there must be many restricted areas here. Aren't you afraid sothing might happen?"

Ning Muqing asked, confused. She felt the man's nonchalant attitude was strange.

'This is a restricted area of a secure facility. How can he not be the least bit worried about a stranger barging in?'

"Don't worry. If the Chief Commissioner hadn't tacitly approved it, no one could have infiltrated this area. Since he left on his own, the Chief Commissioner must have contacted him personally."

The middle-aged man said.

"Contacted him personally?"

Ning Muqing grew even more puzzled. 'I've been by Zhou Yuanjue's side this whole ti. I even helped find out the eting location. How could he possibly have been in contact with the Chief Commissioner?'

"The Saint Awakening Realm is beyond our comprehension. In short, we don't need to worry about the rest. In the future, as you spend more ti around a Saint Awakening, you'll slowly co to understand. For now, co and have a seat."

The middle-aged man laughed heartily and turned to walk into the gatehouse.

The confusion in Ning Muqing's eyes deepened, and at the sa ti, her longing for that realm grew even stronger.

...

...

Zhou Yuanjue's figure was like a phantom, flitting through the shadows of the research base's buildings. He quickly reached the foot of the mountain.

He leaped, grabbing a tree branch. His body swung forward, and he began to move swiftly through the mountain forest.

Along the way, he surprisingly didn't encounter any hidden sentries on the mountain. This mountain, part of a secret facility, seed completely unguarded.

But as he perceived his surroundings carefully, he sensed sothing unusual.

The surrounding Natural Magnetic Field wasn't chaotic; it had a certain regularity. Sothing peculiar seed to be buried beneath the mountain's soil. Using that magnetic field—which resembled the National Fortune—as a foundation, the entire mountain's magnetic field had been reorganized to so extent through special ans, forming a vast network.

He knew this must be the Chief Commissioner's doing. The mont he had stepped into this secure area, that clear voice had sounded as if it were right beside his ear.

This terrifying ability was undoubtedly connected to the anomaly on Zixiao Mountain. From another perspective, this mountain appeared ordinary on the surface, with seemingly no heavy defenses.

In reality, however, it was one of the most difficult places in the world to infiltrate. Everything here was actually under the Chief Commissioner's watch. No being could enter silently, and no crisis could escape unnoticed.

Without such asures, the Secret Inspection Bureau probably wouldn't have built its secret laboratory here, and the upper echelons of Donghua would likely not be at ease with this lab being so close to the Donghua Capital City.

This ability was just like that of a legendary "Mountain God," but perhaps even superior. After all, he had been at the Secret Inspection Bureau Headquarters and could still be influenced by this person.

His speed was extrely fast. Zixiao Mountain wasn't particularly high, so he soon crossed the forest and reached the summit.

At the summit was a courtyard villa built in the Shangjing style. In front of the villa, a pair of teenagers, a boy and a girl who looked to be only fifteen or sixteen, were dressed in plain clothes and sweeping fallen leaves in the courtyard with brooms.

Autumn had arrived. The leaves turned yellow, withered, and fell—the law of all things.

The boy, though his face was a bit youthful, had a large fra and an arm span that reached past his knees. His temples were high and prominent, and his eyes shone with spirit. With every breath, the airflow was like two long dragons—steady, winding, and powerful.

The girl, on the other hand, had a pure and innocent face, free of makeup, yet her skin was fairer and more delicate than any starlet's. Her figure was graceful and elegant, and one could almost imagine a faint halo of spiritual light behind her head.

What was most striking was the center of her brow, at the location of her Niwan Palace. There was a red dot, not an intentional adornnt, but a birthmark. It made her look like one of the Immortal Gods or a Bodhisattva. In ancient tis, a person like this would have been considered the reincarnation of a divine being.

The brooms in their hands were not made of wood, but iron. The handles were at least as thick as an average adult man's upper arm, with grooves carved into them for a better grip. They were about 2.2 ters long and looked very strange. Even from a distance, one could sense their imnse weight. An ordinary person would probably find it difficult just to lift one, let alone use it to sweep.

Yet these two looked focused and their expressions were normal. Their movents were very slow, but each one engaged all the muscles in their bodies—waist, arms, hips, and legs were all being trained, revealing their extrely powerful physical conditioning.

At their age, to have such physical prowess ant they had probably already achieved Mastery of Fist Techniques. In the outside world, they would be extraordinary figures who could Transform into a Dragon given the chance. But here, they were just two gatekeepers sweeping the grounds.

SWOOSH! SWOOSH!

As the brooms swung, they created faint atmospheric vibrations that naturally gathered the surrounding fallen leaves together in an orderly and aesthetically pleasing way.

As Zhou Yuanjue approached, the two teenagers seed to snap out of their focused sweeping and looked up at him.

Zhou Yuanjue's youthful appearance surprised the pair slightly. They knew from their master that a Saint Awakening would be visiting today, but they hadn't expected him to be so young. He looked to be only a few years older than them.

'There's always soone better out there.'

"Master has been waiting for you in the house for a long ti."

The girl spoke. Her voice was like a clear spring flowing or pearls dropping onto a jade plate, possessing a magical charm that naturally drew people in. This was a powerful, innate Talent.

The two of them put down their brooms and gestured towards a house in the courtyard. Then they picked up their brooms again and resud their focused sweeping, unmoved by external distractions.

'Every word, every action, every movent is a form of Cultivation. With a heart of utmost sincerity, every aspect of daily life can beco an aid in understanding the Dao.'

Zhou Yuanjue knew that if these two could grow up and maintain this state, their achievents would be limitless.

'But alas, the world is chaotic, and the mortal realm is full of distracting desires. How many can reach a certain age and still maintain the aspirations of their youth?'

He stopped looking at the two and his gaze passed through the courtyard to the main house. He could feel an imnse aura, like a dormant, coiled dragon, gathering within that building.

He walked forward, reached the door, extended his hand, and gently pushed it open.

The room was empty except for a sowhat withered figure sitting cross-legged in the center.
