It wasn't just Luo Manli; the other staff mbers felt it too, their gazes wavering for a mont. Only when Zhou Yuanjue completely retracted his magnetic field did the feeling of being unable to look directly at him disappear, giving everyone a chance to get a good look at the young man before them.
A youthful, handso face, exceptionally broad shoulders, and especially that transcendent, otherworldly aura made everyone feel as if they weren't looking at a person, but an Immortal God who had descended to the mortal realm.
The main door was wide open, yet no one dared to be the first to step inside. In the end, it was the middle-aged man who spoke first. "Mr. Zhou, these are the staff mbers from Channel One. May we begin preparing for the interview now?"
"Yes, please co in."
Zhou Yuanjue nodded, and only then did the group, led by the middle-aged man, quickly enter the laboratory.
Luo Manli took a deep breath to calm herself. 'For a mont, I almost thought I was interviewing the head of state of a superpower,' she thought. 'No, not even a head of state could exude such intense pressure. A person like this, no matter where you put him, would imdiately beco the absolute center of attention. It would be impossible to refute anything he says.'
'Is he really a young man two years younger than ? A one-man army... an S Class Martial Artist... I can't even imagine how terrifying he'd be at full power. This era... it's really about to be turned upside down.'
However, Luo Manli was, after all, an elite among ordinary people with strong professional instincts. She quickly adjusted her mindset, put on a professional smile, and walked gracefully toward Zhou Yuanjue.
"Hello, Mr. Zhou. I'm Luo Manli, the host for this interview."
Luo Manli extended a fair hand to Zhou Yuanjue.
"Hello. Please, have a seat."
Zhou Yuanjue stood up, shook Luo Manli's hand lightly, and then gestured to the chair beside the tal table, inviting her to sit.
"Have you had a chance to look over the interview procedure? Should we do a quick run-through?"
Luo Manli said with a smile.
"No need, I'm quite familiar with it. We can start directly."
Zhou Yuanjue shook his head.
Luo Manli and Zhou Yuanjue had a bit more brief conversation while the surrounding crew finished setting up the cara equipnt. The interview officially began.
"Hello, viewers. I'm sure you're all very curious about the special lifeforms that have recently appeared, the 'Celestial Demons.' As we all know, Celestial Demons are..."
"Today, we are honored to have with us Mr. Zhou Yuanjue, an S Class Martial Artist and the Vice-Chairman of the Martial Arts Association, to help us gain a deeper understanding of these special creatures, the 'Celestial Demons'..."
Luo Manli, beaming, faced the cara and delivered her opening monologue, reiterating so information about Celestial Demons before introducing Zhou Yuanjue.
Zhou Yuanjue looked calmly at the cara. His speech was clear, and his answers were fluid as he provided more detailed, in-depth information about the Celestial Demons.
The two went back and forth, question and answer, and the preliminary part of the interview quickly passed, moving on to the main event.
"Mr. Zhou, the unique nature of these Celestial Demons has made many people very concerned for their own safety. Do you believe they pose a threat to society as a whole?"
Luo Manli asked.
"Fear cos from the unknown. It's like facing a new disease; once you understand its principles, it's actually not so terrifying."
"The sa is true for Celestial Demons. Currently, the prevailing theory is that a Celestial Demon's formation is related to a special kind of magnetic field. Or rather, that the formation of any life is related to magnetic fields. The reason ordinary people can't see Celestial Demons is simply because they don't exist within the magnetic frequency range that the naked eye can perceive."
Zhou Yuanjue said with a calm expression, retrieving a Blood Pattern Jade Bottle from under the table and placing it on the tabletop.
"Mr. Zhou, what is that?"
Luo Manli leaned in to get a closer look at the strangely shaped jade bottle, asking curiously.
"This is called a Demon-Catching Bottle. You can also think of it as a magnetic field blocker, capable of shielding a Celestial Demon's unique magnetic field, thereby trapping it inside. And within this Demon-Catching Bottle is a single Celestial Demon."
Zhou Yuanjue said.
Hearing Zhou Yuanjue's words, Luo Manli's head, which had been leaning in, instantly recoiled out of reflex. A chill ran down her spine.
"There's no need to be afraid. Celestial Demons aren't as terrifying as you might imagine."
Zhou Yuanjue said slowly. To Luo Manli's horror, he then uncorked the Demon-Catching Bottle.
Luo Manli clearly felt sothing being released, but she couldn't see anything with her naked eye.
"A Celestial Demon is a body composed of a special magnetic field. Humans also possess magnetic properties, which we call the 'Life Magnetic Field.' The stronger the living individual, the more intense this field becos. More powerful Martial Artists can manipulate this magnetic field, which is precisely the bane of Celestial Demons."
Zhou Yuanjue slowly extended his hand.
VMMMM!!
Luo Manli watched in disbelief as a ring of red light spread out from Zhou Yuanjue's hand, enveloping a certain area of empty space.
ZZZZZTT!!
A sound like television static filled the air. Everyone present could clearly see a mass of black mist struggling within the red light's embrace. At the center of the mist was a face with brownish-red skin, resembling the Asura Evil Ghosts of myth and legend.
The face looked incredibly ferocious. It thrashed about within the red light, but it could not escape the light's containnt.
Luo Manli swallowed hard, her body instinctively leaning back slightly.
"Don't be afraid. I used my own magnetic field to temporarily alter the Celestial Demon's magnetic state, shifting it to a frequency visible to the naked eye, which is why you can see it. In truth, just like most living things, Celestial Demons can be observed, captured, and restrained."
"And even... destroyed."
Zhou Yuanjue said faintly, then slowly closed his hand into a fist.
The red light slowly contracted, gradually compressing the smoke-like Celestial Demon to its limit.
PUFF!!
Then, Luo Manli and the others seed to hear a soft sound as the Celestial Demon was completely crushed by the red light.
Zhou Yuanjue released his magnetic field. The red light receded, and the Celestial Demon dissolved into a few wisps of black smoke, disappearing completely into the void.
Throughout the entire process, his expression remained placid, as if he had just squashed a mosquito with effortless ease.
Luo Manli's mouth hung open. She never expected that ferocious-looking, bizarre creature to be so fragile in Zhou Yuanjue's hands. The feeling was like watching a colossal god facing a tiny, insignificant imp.
"As everyone has just seen, Celestial Demons are not invincible. Nor are they so mysterious, esoteric monsters. They are no different in essence from any other creature on this planet. Furthermore, their numbers are few, and most of them do not possess high intelligence. As long as you use the right thod, eliminating them is not a difficult task."
"We humans have journeyed from a primitive age, step by step, to the top of the food chain, conquering one species after another. This new species is simply another existence in the history of human developnt and evolution that is destined to be overco."
Facing the cara, Zhou Yuanjue's expression was utterly serene. Combined with the incredible power he had just displayed, it unconsciously instilled a powerful sense of conviction in all who watched.
