The whole process went sothing like this.
The mont a Rebellion cell ca into contact with a normal cell, it would launch a devouring attack. On a physical level, it seed as if the Rebellion cell actively devoured the normal cell, using it as nourishnt to continuously multiply.
But that wasn’t actually the case.
The instant the Rebellion cell initiated its devouring, its frenzied magnetic field would form a brief, orderly structure. This structure would then unleash a natural magnetic field attack. If a normal cell’s magnetic field wasn’t strong enough, it would be influenced by this attack. The normal cell would be assimilated by the Rebellion cell, their magnetic field structures and frequencies aligning. Imdiately after, the Rebellion cell’s field would return to its frenzied state, causing the magnetic field within the now-assimilated normal cell to descend into chaos.
Because this magnetic field attack was extrely brief and covert, and occurred almost simultaneously with the physical act of devouring, it was very difficult to detect.
In a way, a normal cell assimilated by the magnetic field attack wasn’t so much devoured as it was willingly sacrificing itself.
In that mont, the Rebellion cell acted like a Sovereign, a king that ruled the normal cell’s "soul." The normal cell would actively offer all its tissues and Energy, allowing the Rebellion cell to bypass the entire digestion process. It could directly acquire all the cell’s Energy and information to achieve the fastest possible division and multiplication.
This was one of the reasons for the Rebellion cells’ terrifying transmissibility. It also explained why strengthening one’s magnetic field defenses could grant immunity to most of their attacks.

What he cared about wasn’t the offensive potential of this subtle magnetic field structure, but its terrifying assimilative ability. At this mont, he could feel an endless stream of Power welling up from within his body.
He even had the illusion that, at this mont, this physical shell of his was omnipotent and indestructible.
