Capítulo 2080: Chapter 2081: Offending the Honored Guests (First Update)

In the remote corners of the Starry Sea, there exists an unremarkable planet.

This planet is quite ordinary, with very average Spiritual Energy, and thus, the highest level cultivator it has ever produced is rely a True Immortal.

The reason is simple: the planet’s Spiritual Energy and resources simply cannot support the ergence of higher level powerhouses.

Nevertheless, the planet is still ho to nurous sects, with many cultivators.

And due to the scarcity of resources, the conflict among the cultivators here is even more vicious, with sects often resorting to massacre and destruction on a whim.

In short, this is an ordinary planet so neglected that even Starry Pirates passing by would not be bothered to rob it; it truly is a land of desolation.

Yet at this mont, beneath one of the high mountains on the planet, there stands a small town.

The town is not large, built along the mountain, with only two streets in total, but it’s extrely bustling.

Especially now, due to the impending recruitnt event of the renowned Crescent Moon Sect, the town is even more crowded, with countless young people from all directions attempting to join Crescent Moon Sect.

Astute rchants have long spotted the opportunity, and have prepared thoroughly, making a fortune in inns and tea houses.

But the most lucrative are the row upon row of Dao Sword observation venues lining the streets!

The doors of these Dao Sword venues all hang banners, with eye-catching advertisents written in large characters.

For example, announcents like the eighteenth generation direct descendant of Crescent Moon Sect accepting disciples, or the Great Elder of Crescent Moon Sect personally offering guidance.

Such statents are practically dazzling in number, overwhelming to the senses.

No matter what the advertisent says, they all prominently feature the na Crescent Moon Sect.

Because those who open Dao Sword venues here understand one thing: everyone who cos to this town does so for the fa of Crescent Moon Sect.

Therefore, Crescent Moon Sect is their golden signboard.

Simply brandishing this title ans waiting for disciples to co knocking.

The reason is simple: each year Crescent Moon Sect accepts only ten disciples, yet thousands upon thousands co here seeking ntorship.

The disparity in this ratio ans that successfully entering Crescent Moon Sect is exceedingly rare, and those who do typically hail from wealth or nobility—ordinary folks shouldn’t even dream of it.

But others who co can’t just leave empty-handed, so these Dao Sword venues cater to this mindset, brazenly recruiting disciples under the na of Crescent Moon Sect, extracting exorbitant tuition fees.

So even have the audacity to claim they possess inside connections, promising to place people into Crescent Moon Sect by requiring them to train for three years in the Dao Sword venue first.

In summary, the entire town becos exceedingly prosperous due to Crescent Moon Sect, with the streets teeming with crowds.

And at this mont, a sudden invective rings out from a corner of the street.

“Where did this filthy beggar co from; this is no place for you! Get lost!”

With those words, there cos a thud—an emaciated, dirty old man is pushed to the street.

Bystanders quickly step aside, yet many curious onlookers stop to watch the spectacle.

This old man appears so emaciated that he resembles nothing but skin and bones, dressed in rags, and his eyes gleam with an ominous white light, revealing he’s blind.

On the steps of a nearby restaurant, a waiter stands arrogantly, still spewing curses.

“Damn it, he’s even blind—truly unlucky! Let tell you, I’ll soon be hosting esteed guests from the Immortal sect, and if you offend one of them, even ten lives won’t be enough to repay. Now, get out of here before you dirty the grounds!”

Strangely, despite the waiter’s cursing, the old man’s face shows no expression; he remains utterly calm.

Even when well-aning people help him up, his face shows no emotional fluctuation.

But his silent deanor creates an intangible pressure on the waiter, who instinctively quiets down, muttering under his breath.

“Damn blind man, dare to keep a straight face, watch out you trip and die while walking…”

No sooner had he spoken than several sword lights flew in from afar, landing in the scene.

Once their forms were revealed, they turned out to be several young cultivators in Crescent Moon Sect attire, faces full of arrogance.

Seeing these individuals, the waiter’s expression changed; his face imdiately broke into a smile, and he hurried over.

“Esteed guests of the Immortal sect, your als are ready, please co in!”

The waiter bowed and scraped in a sycophantic manner.

But the Crescent Moon Sect disciples didn’t even glance at him, instead tilting their heads to observe the restaurant.

Then one female disciple covered her mouth sowhat distastefully, asking, “Brother, is this the place you ntioned?”

The leading young cultivator nodded, “Yes.”

“But this restaurant looks quite ordinary. How can it have anything special to eat?”

“You’ll know when you try. The chef’s skills here are quite decent.”

With that, the young man strode forward into the restaurant, followed by the others.

But at that mont, the old man happened to turn to walk down the long street.

As fate would have it, he faced the girl who had spoken earlier.

Upon seeing the tattered old man, the girl wrinkled her brow, stepping back with disdain, exclaiming.

“How can such rabble be here, beggars have shown up! Seeing him ruins any appetite for eating!”

With those words, the leading young cultivator halted his steps, turned to the old man, and then looked at the waiter, speaking coldly.

“What’s going on?”

The waiter, frightened, turned pale, stamring, “I… I don’t know who he is. I… I’ll chase him away now!”

“That’s unnecessary! Even a blind man dare to offend our sister; might as well kill him!” Among them, a youth with a sinister look sneered.

“Exactly, our sister’s dignity is so supre, having such a lowly creature offend her; killing him is the only way to quell the anger!” Another echoed in agreent.

Upon hearing this, the leading youth remained silent, but faint sword light appeared before him.

“Brother is amazing, able to condense sword light so soon!” The girl exclaid in admiration.

The youth smiled smugly, then turned to the old man, saying blandly, “Bla yourself for coming here, and being killed by my sword may be your honor!”

With that, the sword light before him suddenly expanded, slicing straight toward the old man.

The bystanders closed their eyes, thinking the old man is dood!

The girl’s face showed a triumphant expression, like a child toying with ants, full of innocent cruelty.

But what happened next froze her triumphant expression.
