Now reading: Chapter 340: Zhou Xiong Ying! from Invincible Beyond Heavens: Cultivating With A Broken EXP System, a Eastern novel by ShinGotLost.

Unless one’s strength was great enough to completely overpower Yi Yang, facing him in battle would almost certainly end in humiliation. His Eye of Insight left no room for error, and any opponent who fell short would find themselves toyed with rcilessly.

There had once been a well-known duel that proved this beyond doubt.

An expert at the seventh level of the Essence Qi Realm had challenged Yi Yang, confident in his superior cultivation. On the surface, the difference in their realms should have decided the outco, yet the battle unfolded in a completely unexpected manner.

The mont Yi Yang activated his Eye of Insight, everything changed. He began to see through every flaw in his opponent’s techniques, identifying weaknesses that others could not perceive.

With minimal effort, he dismantled each attack, breaking them apart as though they were fragile constructs. What was even more terrifying was his ability to predict the trajectory of every strike. It was as if the entire battle lay exposed before him, allowing him to move with absolute precision.

No matter how hard his opponent tried, not a single attack could touch him.

In the end, that seventh level expert was driven to the brink of collapse. Frustration overwheld him, and he coughed up blood before finally retreating in defeat. That battle alone was enough to cent Yi Yang’s reputation, spreading his na across the domain as a genius who could dominate opponents far stronger than himself.

Facing such an opponent was a nightmare.

It was no wonder that those who had been assigned to his group wore expressions of despair.

"The Eye of Insight, capable of seeing through illusions and flaws?"

Li Yun raised an eyebrow slightly as he considered this.

His own Nine Tribulations Divine Eye possessed the ability to see through all things. The thought of how it would compare against Yi Yang’s Eye of Insight sparked a faint sense of curiosity within him.

Rather than feeling uneasy, Li Yun found himself looking forward to the encounter.

With that thought in mind, he turned and walked toward the rest area, intending to wait calmly for the competition to begin.

However, he had barely taken a seat when a cold, arrogant voice sounded from beside him.

"Little brother, is this the one who caused you to fail the second stage, the Dragon Palace trial?"

Li Yun lifted his head and looked forward.

Two young Martial Artists stood before him. One appeared slightly older, his face unfamiliar, while the other was soone Li Yun recognized instantly.

It was the sa person who had attempted to ambush him during the Dragon Palace stage, only to be severely injured in return.

The younger Martial Artist’s expression twisted with resentnt as he stared at Li Yun.

"You brat, I told you back in the Dragon Palace that I would not let this go. I may not be your match, but I have my elder brother. He is a true genius on the Hidden Dragon Ranking, and his position is far above yours. In his eyes, you are nothing but a worthless dog. You are finished."

His voice was filled with bitterness, as though he had convinced himself that his earlier failure had nothing to do with his own weakness. A cold and malicious glint flickered in his eyes as he glared at Li Yun, clearly plotting how to humiliate him and repay what he believed to be a personal grudge.

At that mont, the slightly older Martial Artist stepped forward. His posture was arrogant, his expression cold and overbearing as he approached Li Yun without the slightest restraint.

He stopped a short distance away and spoke in a sharp, commanding tone.

"Brat, are you the one who caused my younger brother to fail the Dragon Palace stage?"

His voice carried openly across the area, imdiately drawing attention.

The surrounding crowd began to stir as people turned to look.

"Is that not Zhou Xiong Ying, the one ranked eighteenth on the Hidden Dragon Ranking?"

Soone recognized him instantly, and curiosity spread through the onlookers.

"Judging by the way he is confronting that boy, it seems the kid offended him."

"This kid must have lost his mind. He actually dared to ss with Zhou Xiong Ying’s younger brother."

"Zhou Xiong Ying is known for being fiercely protective. Anyone who dares to harm his brother will face consequences far worse in return. This boy caused his brother to fail the Dragon Palace stage, so there is no way Zhou Xiong Ying will let this go."

"Still, anyone who has made it this far in the Hidden Dragon Tournant cannot be ordinary. If he dares to stand against Zhou Xiong Ying, perhaps he is also soone from the Hidden Dragon Ranking."

"That cannot be the case. I have seen every young expert on the Hidden Dragon Ranking, and this boy is definitely not among them. Although he has enough strength to pass the three stages, Zhou Xiong Ying is at the fifth level of the Essence Qi Realm. Not just anyone is qualified to stand against him."

The discussions rose one after another, creating a low hum of tension in the air.

Amidst the noise, Li Yun remained calm.

He glanced at Zhou Xiong Ying briefly, his expression indifferent.

"That was your brother’s own fault."

His tone was flat, as though the matter did not concern him in the slightest.

He had no intention of offering any further explanation. Whether the man believed him or not made no difference. Since Zhou Xiong Ying had already decided to hold him responsible, any attempt to justify himself would only be a waste of ti.

Hearing this, Zhou Xiong Ying’s eyes narrowed.

A cold light flickered within them as his expression darkened.

"So you admit it."

His voice dropped, turning chilling as he spoke again.

"You truly have so nerve. You dared to lay a hand on my younger brother."

He paused, then slowly clasped his hands behind his back. His posture grew even more imposing, his tone carrying a clear sense of superiority, as though he were granting rcy rather than issuing a threat.

"I will give you one chance. Kneel before my younger brother, apologize properly, and slap yourself three hundred tis. If you do that, I may consider sparing you."

His gaze turned colder with each word.

"Otherwise, I will personally show you the price of offending , Zhou Xiong Ying."

With so many young talents of the Southern Martial Domain gathered in one place, Zhou Xiong Ying’s demand was nothing short of vicious. Forcing Li Yun to kneel, apologize, and slap himself in public was not simply an act of punishnt.

It was a deliberate attempt to crush his dignity, to stain his reputation beyond repair, and to leave a lasting shadow in his heart that could grow into a Heart Demon. Compared to a simple beating, this thod of revenge was far more cruel and unforgiving.

Li Yun’s lips curled into a faint smile the mont he heard those words.

There was no anger in his expression, only a cold disdain.

"You want to kneel and apologize to your brother, and even slap myself?" he said calmly. "Based on you alone, I am afraid you are not qualified to make such a demand. You should rember one thing. The ant here is you, not ."

His tone was steady, yet every word carried a sharp edge.
