Invincible Beyond Heavens: Cultivating With A Broken EXP System Chapter 88: Leaving Pill Flame City!
The mont Li Yun swallowed the refined essence of the Obsidian Marrow Root, a terrifying heat exploded inside his body, far more violent than anything he had experienced during his previous body refinents.
The dicinal force did not spread gently through his ridians like ordinary herbs. Instead, it sank directly into his bones, seeped into his marrow, and ignited a deep, black-gold radiance from within.
His skeleton rang like divine tal being hamred, every bone vibrating as if it were being reforged. The second stage of the Golden Battle Body began to crack apart almost instantly, unable to withstand the overwhelming potency of the herb.
Li Yun clenched his teeth as waves of pain surged through him, feeling his marrow being stripped, compressed, and remade again and again, each cycle purer and denser than before.
As the Obsidian Marrow Root continued to release its dicinal power, fine golden patterns spread across Li Yun’s flesh, crawling over his skin like living inscriptions. His muscles tightened, then expanded, growing more compact yet explosively powerful, while his blood roared through his veins like molten gold.
With a deafening internal boom, the third stage of the Golden Battle Body was forced open, his physical strength surging several tis over in a single breath. Yet the herb showed no sign of exhaustion. Instead, its core essence erupted fully, driving even deeper, tempering not just bone and muscle but the very foundation of his body.
Cracks appeared on his skin as old impurities were expelled in torrents, and beneath them, his flesh glead with a heavy, obsidian sheen that carried an indescribable sense of weight and resilience.
Before Li Yun could even stabilize his cultivation, the pressure inside him climbed to an unbearable peak. The Golden Battle Body roared as if alive, and with another violent surge, the bottleneck between the third and fourth stages shattered completely.
His body underwent a qualitative transformation, his bones turning as dense as divine obsidian, his marrow glowing with a dark golden brilliance, and his flesh becoming so tough that even ordinary profound weapons would struggle to leave a mark.
When the dicinal force finally subsided, Li Yun collapsed to his knees, steam rising from his body, his breath heavy but steady. He slowly realized that the Obsidian Marrow Root had not rely pushed him forward by one realm.
It had crushed two stages in succession with brutal dominance, proving itself to be an exceedingly rare and terrifying body refining herb, one capable of violently reshaping the foundation of a cultivator and accelerating their physical path far beyond what normal logic would allow.
"Damn, that was intense," Li Yun muttered as he collapsed onto the floor.
When he had refined the Red Blood Jade Ginseng in the past, he had been able to control the process to so extent. This ti, however, it felt as though the dicinal energy of the Obsidian Marrow Root was driving the refinent on its own, while he could only circulate the Golden Battle Body Art and endure the impact.

After resting for a short while, Li Yun’s thoughts gradually settled.
"Now I can finally cultivate the secret art Father left behind," he thought, then quickly shook his head. "No, not yet. I will soon be cultivating two top grade mortal rank arts for the wind and fla elents. It would be better to wait until I officially beco a disciple of the Martial Ascension Gate before touching that secret art."
He organized his plans carefully. There was also the Ninefold Origin Flesh Scripture granted by the system, a body cultivation art that could only be practiced after reaching the Xiantian Realm. Because of this, his imdiate goal was clear and unavoidable.
"Alright, I have decided," Li Yun said softly as he nodded to himself. "I will first reach the Xiantian Realm as quickly as possible. Only after that will I cultivate the secret art left by my father and the scripture from the system."
For the ti being, his focus would remain on the two top grade mortal rank cultivation arts for the wind and fla elents. In addition, there was the Overlord Thunder Scripture, a top grade profound rank cultivation art that could be cultivated gradually from the lower profound stages.
With so many demanding paths already before him, this was not the right mont to add another secret art into the mix.
"There is also a sword art I have wanted to cultivate for a long ti," Li Yun murmured as he took out his father’s storage ring.
He had already been practicing a low grade profound rank martial art from the ring, Dominant Thunder Palm. However, hidden among the thunder techniques was sothing else entirely.
It was a sword art called Sky Cleaving Sword Scripture.
This top grade mortal rank sword art was sothing Li Yun had long wished to cultivate but had never found the ti to do so. Now, with a journey of five uninterrupted months ahead of him, he decided that it was the perfect opportunity.
"Alright, I will rest for today and set out for Martial Ascension City early tomorrow morning," Li Yun murmured as his eyes slowly closed. The exhaustion from an entire week of relentless cultivation and refinent finally overwheld him, and he soon fell into a deep sleep.
At dawn the next day, Li Yun stood fully prepared to leave Pill Fla City and begin his long journey toward Martial Ascension City.
"Young Master Li, everything you asked for is inside," Su Wan said as she handed him a storage pouch. It contained all the items he had requested the previous day.
"Miss Wan, thank you for everything," Li Yun said as he cupped his fists respectfully.
"Please do not be so formal," Su Wan replied with a gentle smile.
Behind her, Su Lan stood quietly, holding another storage pouch in her hands. After hesitating for a mont, she stepped forward.
"Take this," Su Lan said softly, her cheeks flushed. "I prepared so food for your journey to Martial Ascension City."
Li Yun accepted the pouch with a warm smile. "Thank you, Miss Lan. I will rember you every ti I eat this food along the way."
Her face turned even redder at his words, and she quickly lowered her head.
"Alright, enough teasing my disciples," Lin Shan said, interrupting with a snort. "Have you taken everything you need?"
"I have, and I am ready to depart," Li Yun replied seriously.
"Then go," Lin Shan said with a faint smile. "You better succeed in becoming a disciple of the Martial Ascension Gate."
"I will," Li Yun said firmly.
He then turned to Su Wan and Su Lan. "Miss Wan, Miss Lan, I look forward to eting you again after this parting. Perhaps we will see each other at a gathering of disciples from the four great sects of the Southern Martial Domain."
With that, Li Yun bowed deeply to Lin Shan. "Elder Lin, thank you for guiding on the path of alchemy."
He straightened and looked at the three of them one last ti. "Elder Lin, Miss Wan, Miss Lan, we will et again."
Li Yun mounted his beast steed and rode off without hesitation, his figure gradually shrinking until it disappeared beyond the horizon.
Watching his departure, Lin Shan spoke calmly, "It is ti for the two of you to join your chosen force as well. Co with ."
Su Wan and Su Lan both cast one final glance in the direction Li Yun had gone before turning around and following their master.
