Upon hearing Ye Haochuan’s words, Zhuo Wei’s face turned pale instantly.
“Big bro, you can’t joke like this!”

Zhuo Wei’s expression suddenly froze, his mind racing. Then, he rembered the recent trouble uploading Su Yingxue’s video online, and his heart skipped.
“Are you talking about Su Yingxue? Impossible! I looked into her and made sure she had no background before I dared…” Zhuo Wei muttered to himself.
“You thought what you saw was the whole picture?”
“Big bro, I was wrong! I truly didn’t know Su Yingxue had soone like you behind her. If I had known, I wouldn’t have dared even if it killed !”
“So you think you can run fake news on people with no background? Do you realize how your distorted reports could destroy her life?” Ye Haochuan shouted angrily.
“I understand! I swear I’ll never do it again, big bro. Please give another chance!” Zhuo Wei pleaded.
“I’m curious—how did you know so precisely that Su Yingxue was going to that hotel?” Ye Haochuan suddenly changed the subject.
He had a suspicion that this had sothing to do with Xie Qi but wanted confirmation from Zhuo Wei. This was why he hadn’t dealt with Zhuo Wei outright; sothing about this whole situation seed complicated.

Ye Haochuan frowned slightly, snatching Zhuo Wei’s phone. Sure enough, there was an anonymous ssage saying Su Yingxue would be at Guorui Hotel today. It seed Zhuo Wei hadn’t lied.
“Help trace this number!” Ye Haochuan sent the number to Zhang Chong, asking him to investigate.

The ssage revealed the card owner was a woman nad Xie Ling, along with her complete work history.
“Wang Kefei’s assistant?” Ye Haochuan froze at her current job. The na “Wang Kefei” seed vaguely familiar to him, but he couldn’t imdiately recall why.
“Wang Kefei? Why her?” Zhuo Wei was equally surprised.
“You know her?”
“Of course! She’s one of the country’s top pop stars, far more famous than the newcor Su Yingxue. But I can’t fathom why soone so prominent would target Su Yingxue!”
“A top-tier pop star?” Ye Haochuan’s eyes suddenly lit up as he finally rembered who Wang Kefei was.

Ye Haochuan frowned and scoffed, “You’re no saint either. Reporting without verifying your facts could have ruined Su Yingxue if I hadn’t intervened in ti—do you realize that?”

Ye Haochuan fell into deep thought. Despite his fury over Su Yingxue being targeted, Zhuo Wei wasn’t malicious in his intent—it was forgivable.

“Got it!” Zhuo Wei answered firmly, “I’ve got plenty of dirt on Wang Kefei; I’ll release it right away!”
Wang Kefei had maintained a spotless image after years in entertainnt, presumably due to strong backing. But for Zhuo Wei, survival trumped hesitation.
“No rush!” Ye Haochuan chuckled darkly, “I’ll deal with her personally first. When I move, then you leak the dirt—make sure she’s obliterated from the industry!”
“Of course! Big bro, I’ll follow your lead in everything!” Zhuo Wei grinned eagerly.
Ye Haochuan let him off after that; having a skilled paparazzo shielding Su Yingxue wasn’t a bad deal.
“By the way, that Xie Qi—how is she still thriving despite that scandalous video from last ti? You paparazzi seem pretty useless, huh?”
“Her survival was due to Wang Kefei intervening and scrubbing the video off the internet—without it, she’d be loathed by everyone now.”
“I see!” Ye Haochuan nodded. It was clear Wang Kefei had saved Xie Qi to use her against Su Yingxue later. A woman like her—labeled as a “refreshing voice” by Han Xue’er before—was nothing but toxic.
Parting ways with Zhuo Wei, Ye Haochuan went straight to find Xie Qi.
“You… you again? What do you want?”
Seeing Ye Haochuan startled Xie Qi greatly. Although she hadn’t figured out why she lost control last ti, she instinctively felt it had sothing to do with him.

“Track down Wang Kefei for ,” Ye Haochuan instructed Zhang Chong once more.
Soon enough, Zhang Chong provided Wang Kefei’s location.
“She’s filming a live-stream—that makes things easier for !”
Ye Haochuan smirked nacingly, his eyes brimming with killing intent.
