Chapter 1054: Chapter 1053: Where is My Heaven-Reliant Sword? (2nd Update)

What the hell, mbership fee? Are you kidding ?

Tie Feng was montarily stunned. Since when does joining the Long Alliance require a mbership fee?

He quickly realized though—what mbership fee? It was clearly a deliberate attempt to make things difficult!

Thinking of this, he imdiately laughed, saying, “Of course, of course. May I ask how much the fee is to join the Long Alliance?”

“Talking money hurts feelings, you know. Our Long Alliance isn’t a greedy place. If each of you hands over a Spiritual Artifact, you can proudly beco mbers of the Long Alliance.” Ye Haochuan said with an “amiable” look on his face.

For crying out loud, a Spiritual Artifact?

Tie Feng and his companions almost swore out loud when they heard this. Each of them handing over a Spiritual Artifact? Do you think Spiritual Artifacts grow like cabbages on the street?

“I didn’t expect joining the Long Alliance to have such requirents. Unfortunately, we don’t have treasures of that caliber. It seems we are not destined to join the Long Alliance. Apologies for bothering you all; we’ll be on our way now.”

What? You think you can just leave like that?

Ye Haochuan obviously couldn’t let him leave as he pleased, saying with a fake smile, “If that’s the case, then I won’t force you all. Safe travels!”

Tie Feng found this quite suspicious.

He couldn’t figure out why Ye Haochuan would allow him to leave so easily.

But as the opportunity presented itself, Tie Feng wasn’t going to linger and prepared to bid farewell.

Just then, he heard Ye Haochuan suddenly exclaim, “Langfan, where is my ‘Ascension Formation’ Secret Manual? Why can’t I find it?”

Langfan was a cunning man. How could he not understand Ye Haochuan’s intentions? Imdiately, he put on a look of “panic” and said, “Wasn’t it still in your hands just now, Alliance Master? Did it fall during the fight earlier and get picked up by them?”

Ye Haochuan slapped his forehead and let out a sinister laugh, “Ah yes, now I rember. Just now, when sparring with Senior Brother Tie, the manual was still in my hands. After the spar ended, it disappeared. It must be that Senior Brother Tie was afraid I’d lose it and helped put it away.”

“Ye Haochuan, you’re full of nonsense!” Tie Feng’s face instantly turned pale with anger.

At this mont, Tie Feng finally understood. Ye Haochuan had no intention of letting them go kindly.

Suddenly, a person beside Tie Feng exclaid angrily, “What nonsense are you spouting? The Ascension Formation is Senior Brother Tie Feng’s mastery; when did it ever belong to you?”

“Heh heh, this senior, you can eat anything, but you can’t talk nonsense. The Ascension Formation is clearly a proven mastery of our Long Alliance! Everyone in our alliance can vouch for this!” Langfan responded with a sly grin.

“You…” The person beside Tie Feng choked on his words in fury. This was outright shaless ddling!

“Aiya!”

Before that person could finish, Ye Haochuan suddenly exclaid in alarm, “Our Long Alliance has been burgled today! Langfan, go check if the Heaven-Reliant Sword and Dragon-Slaying Saber are still there, along with the Xuanyuan Sword and Gan Jiang Mo Ye, and other such items…”

Langfan couldn’t help but laugh at this point. He thought, this guy is really getting out of hand now. These legendary weapons were either from folklore or fantastical novels—how could they exist in reality?

Nonetheless, Langfan still played along and hurried towards a small room. Shortly after, he shouted in panic, “Alliance Master, this is bad! Everything is gone! It must have been stolen by these people amidst the chaos!”

“Nonsense! We could never take your things! If you don’t believe , search us!” The man beside Tie Feng was furious and hastily extended his Storage Ring.

Tie Feng quickly grabbed the ring and hissed in a low voice, “Idiot! If you hand it over, we’re finished!”

The ring contained too many incriminating items, especially those tied to the Liu Family, enough to reveal that they were affiliated with them.

In truth, even admitting their Liu Family affiliation wasn’t necessarily problematic.

However, seeing Ye Haochuan’s fearless, shaless attitude, if he dragged the Liu Family into this, there was no telling what kind of mud he might sling their way.

“Search what? You’ve definitely hidden the items sowhere else already. If you’re smart, hand them over! Otherwise, we’ll contact the Inspection Group imdiately!” Langfan threatened without backing down.

Ye Haochuan cast an appreciative glance at Langfan. This kid truly had a knack for bluffing; he deserved so focused training in the future.

Tie Feng was now truly embarrassed. He dared not escalate matters any further, realizing he was hardly in the right.

Initially, he thought his strength alone could dominate the situation, but who could have predicted Ye Haochuan’s power trumped his own? Now, he couldn’t even muster the courage to argue back.

“Alliance Master Ye, there must be so misunderstanding. My n couldn’t possibly have taken your items!”

“You think saying you didn’t take them is enough? I bet it was you ordering them to do so!” Langfan aggressively fired back.

“You…” Tie Feng was stunned into anger, but when he glanced at Ye Haochuan, he found him calm and composed, silently staring at him. This reignited Tie Feng’s fury, and he growled in a deep voice, “Ye Haochuan, don’t push things too far!”

Ye Haochuan didn’t respond directly, instead smirking wickedly, “Everyone makes mistakes; what matters is whether they are willing to repent. Brother Tie Feng, stealing is wrong—just return our Long Alliance’s items and we can still be friends. What do you say?”

Friends? Since when were we ever friends?

Tie Feng was raging inside, his murderous intent evident in his gaze.

Ye Haochuan noticed but shook his head, sighing, “Ah, what a promising young man, but so unwilling to adapt! Seems we’ll have to call the Inspection Group, Brother Tie Feng. Don’t bla for this!”

“You…” Tie Feng was so furious he nearly spat blood, but the ntion of the Inspection Group triggered a wave of panic in his heart.

As Liu Chengyu’s trusted aide, Tie Feng had committed plenty of shady activities over the years, rendering him ill-prepared for an inquiry from the inspection authorities.

The Liu Family was undoubtedly influential; however, Long Xiaotian, being affiliated with the Heavenly Gate, wielded comparable power. Even if the Liu Family tried to protect him, it wasn’t guaranteed they’d succeed. On top of that, this could spell serious trouble for the Liu Family itself.

Damn it! How could Ye Haochuan be this insufferably difficult?

Tie Feng was worn out from Ye Haochuan’s relentless ddling, inwardly lanting.

Not just him—the scheming Liu Chengyu likely hadn’t anticipated Ye Haochuan’s shaless tactics either. That’s probably why he sent Tie Feng, soone ill-suited for police investigations.

Fine. Losing so valuables was better than implicating the Liu Family.

Resigned to this, Tie Feng relented inwardly and tried to steady his thoughts before addressing Ye Haochuan, “What exactly do you want?”

“I’m rely curious who sent you here,” Ye Haochuan replied.

“We ca on our own. No one sent us,” Tie Feng insisted firmly, adamant about not implicating the Liu Family.

Great, another tough nut to crack!

Ye Haochuan realized he wasn’t going to get a useful answer and decided to cut to the chase, saying bluntly, “Fine, Senior Brother Tie Feng, if you fancy using the Heaven-Reliant Sword or Dragon-Slaying Saber, feel free to take them. But that Ascension Formation is essential to our Long Alliance—please return it!”

Damn it, still clinging to the Ascension Formation?

Tie Feng finally saw through Ye Haochuan’s ga. The man was determined to wrest the Ascension Formation from him at all costs.

The Ascension Formation was indeed a rare Spirit Level Technique, though for Tie Feng, it wasn’t entirely irreplaceable. Since he’d already mastered it, losing the manual wasn’t a significant blow. Yet handing it over like this was beyond humiliating.

Unable to devise a better solution, Tie Feng clenched his teeth and reluctantly surrendered the Ascension Formation manual.

Fortunately, this Ascension Formation wasn’t a technique passed down from the Liu Family, or else explaining himself upon his return would have been impossible.

Having obtained what he wanted, Ye Haochuan ceased pressing Tie Feng and his companions any further. However, he secretly instructed the Dragon Network mbers to keep them under surveillance. Until their backers were identified, he wouldn’t give them any peace.

The acquisition of the Ascension Formation was an unexpected bonus. While not as powerful as the Seven Forms of Demon Slash, it was perfectly suitable for Ye Haochuan’s use. The Demon Slash technique required a sword mastery, which didn’t interest him much.

After tending to the injured, half a day had already passed.

The All-Alliance Assembly was set to begin tomorrow, but today they needed to register early. The Long Alliance mbers finished their preparations and set off towards the assembly venue.
