The halberd, being an artifact with a spirit, could move freely, just like it did when it killed Ye Xiao.
After it was flung away earlier, Ye Haochuan tried to communicate with it, willing it to return. But for so reason, despite its response, it didn’t co back promptly.
With a closer look, Ye Haochuan found the reason.
His Halberd of Heaven and Earth was tightly held by the giant. The artifact spirit struggled to control it, but to no avail.
The giant suddenly leapt high, seemingly unaffected, raising the halberd and smashing it down.
The giant leapt several yards, descending like a teor. The scene startled Ye Haochuan so much that he couldn’t care less about the White Tiger’s attack and fled at top speed.

Ye Haochuan had just dashed a few steps when he felt the ground shake violently, causing him to stagger.

The giant imdiately paused, actually stopping in place without advancing.
“Benefactor, your stick is truly impressive. Can you lend it to to look at?”
Man, mistaking the Halberd of Heaven and Earth for a stick, this guy is sothing else.
Ye Haochuan inwardly smiled wryly.
“Wait! You called … benefactor? Why?” Ye Haochuan asked curiously.
“If it weren’t for benefactor restraining that beast, I wouldn’t have caught up with it. Benefactor helped solve this troubleso matter, so naturally, you’re my benefactor!” the giant said earnestly.
This explanation… makes even a bit embarrassed!
Ye Haochuan smiled awkwardly.
He roughly understood what the giant ant; the giant had imnse strength, but not the speed of the White Tiger. Only when attacked by the White Tiger could he counterattack; if the tiger ran, he could never catch up.
