In every edition of the Wan Island Tournant, there are preliminary and semi-final rounds, and this ti is no different.
However, the thod of holding the preliminaries varies each ti. Sotis participants are required to hunt down bandits, other tis to enter Sea Clan cities to defeat Sea Clan soldiers, or to kill demon beasts on a deserted island. There are even tis when participants must enter the Demon Cave to eliminate demons.
Although the thods differ each year, the preliminaries always eliminate ninety-nine percent of the participants, leaving only one percent to proceed to the semi-finals.
Thus, out of five hundred thousand participants, only five thousand can enter the semi-finals.

The longer one stayed in the Outer Realm Demon Battlefield, the greater the risk of death.
"Elder Gong, I’d like to ask, if during the competition we kill other participants, does it count as a violation?" a disciple inquired.
Everyone turned to see the question ca from Zhou Xu of the Primordial Dragon Sect.
Gong Fei explained in a conciliatory tone, "During the competition, you can kill other participants, but you cannot take their points."
