53: Chapter 53: Making a Bet 53: Chapter 53: Making a Bet Huang Xiaolong furrowed his brows but eventually stood up.

Li Lu couldn’t help but look worried.

“What were you laughing at just now?” Xiong i Qi demanded coldly.

Huang Xiaolong smiled faintly, “I laughed because such an utterly lousy Combat Skill was still being praised incessantly by you all!”

“What?!” Xiong i Qi’s face turned furious, “You, a re holder of a recomndation letter, have no right to comnt on soone else’s Combat Skill!”

Huang Xiaolong sneered, “I have no right to comnt?

Then what right do you, a bear, have to call trash?”

Bear?!

The crowd was faced with a colorful reaction upon hearing Huang Xiaolong directly calling Xiong i Qi a bear.

“You!” Xiong i Qi was nearly exploding with anger, pointing at Huang Xiaolong, her chest heaving, “Fine, fine, since you don’t admit you’re trash, there’s an assessnt test for freshn in three days.

If you can make it into the top ten, I’ll admit you’re not trash!”

Admitting he’s not trash only if he makes it into the top ten was a bit excessive.

However, Huang Xiaolong scoffed, “Whether I am trash or not, do I need your acknowledgnt?

Alright, if I make it into the top ten, I want you to kneel in the academy plaza and bark like a bear three tis!”

Bark like a bear three tis!

Xiong i Qi’s beautiful eyes burst with a chilling light, almost as if she wanted to swallow Huang Xiaolong whole, her teeth clenched as she said, “And what if you don’t make it into the top ten?”

“If I don’t make it into the top ten, I will withdraw from the school and also kneel in the academy plaza barking like a bear three tis,” Huang Xiaolong responded coldly.

Xiong i Qi’s expression was changing unpredictably.

“What, you don’t dare?” Huang Xiaolong scoffed.

“Fine!” Xiong i Qi bit her lip, a harsh light flashing through her eyes briefly, not believing that a trash holding a family recomndation letter could actually make it into the top ten.

Seeing Xiong i Qi grudgingly agreeing, Huang Xiaolong sneered inwardly, then walked out toward the classroom door.

“Stop, where do you think you’re going?!” Xiong i Qi shouted angrily.

“Where I go, do I need to report to you?” Huang Xiaolong replied, stopping briefly to sneer, then turned and left the classroom.

However, as he passed by Jiang Teng, Huang Xiaolong said, “A self-righteous idiot!”

Jiang Teng’s face froze, then flushed with understanding when he realized what Huang Xiaolong ant—being called an idiot in public by soone who rely held a recomndation letter?

His entire body shone with Light, his eyes furiously watching Huang Xiaolong leave the classroom.

Xiong i Qi, watching Huang Xiaolong ignore her and leave the classroom, was so furious she was lost for words.

After leaving the classroom, Huang Xiaolong headed straight for the library.

Whether he attended class or not didn’t matter to him; he might as well go to the library to look up so information.

The library was not far from the classroom Huang Xiaolong was in.

Upon reaching the library, Huang Xiaolong took out his student ID, passed the check, and walked to a bookshelf that introduced Martial Soul Types.

He casually picked up a book called “Martial Soul Types” and started browsing through it.

This book “Martial Soul Types” explained the various Martial Souls and so innate characteristics and abilities they possessed.

Huang Xiaolong had a good mory and browsed quickly; after a little over an hour, he had finished browsing the book “Martial Soul Types” and had gained more insight into the world’s Martial Soul Types and the various characteristics and abilities of Martial Souls.

After finishing “Martial Soul Types,” Huang Xiaolong then picked up another book, “Martial Soul Level,” which primarily discussed the differences between various levels of Martial Souls and provided a rating system for them.

“Hmm, Twin Martial Souls!” While flipping to the last few pages, Huang Xiaolong suddenly saw that this book was introducing Twin Martial Souls and he carefully began to read.

“Twin Martial Souls, if of the sa types, can unite into one entity or split apart into two separate entities!” Huang Xiaolong was surprised when he read this part.

Twin Martial Souls can actually unite?!

No wonder, when his Martial Soul had just awakened, it existed in a unified form!

Later, after its Fourth-stage transformation, the Double Dragon Martial Soul had split into two separate entities.

Huang Xiaolong continued to read eagerly, his eyes lighting up, the section below actually described how Twin Martial Souls could unite and split.

A mont later, after finishing the reading, Huang Xiaolong was overjoyed.

Good!

With this thod, when he united the Double Dragons into one entity in the future, he could summon it without fear of others discovering the secret of his Twin Martial Souls.

Huang Xiaolong reread the thods of how Twin Martial Souls could unite and how they could split several tis, morizing them firmly, then approached a bookshelf that contained texts on the Demon Clan.

Following the Demon Clan script on the Treasure Map he had found in the Silver Moon Forest, Huang Xiaolong translated them one by one and soon deciphered the script written on the Treasure Map.

“Demon Clan Sacred Land, Wanxiang Mountain, Windless Cave!”

Huang Xiaolong frowned.

The location indicated on the Treasure Map was actually the Demon Clan Sacred Land?!

In this world, the Demon Clan was a very powerful race, even stronger than the Beast Clan, and the Demon Clan had always harbored hatred towards humans.

Going to the Demon Clan Sacred Land was difficult!

At least for Huang Xiaolong at this mont, it was impossible!

After translating the script on the Treasure Map, it was already noon.

Huang Xiaolong left the library, skipped his classes, and walked straight out of the academy.

Just as he was exiting the academy’s main gate, Fei Hou and four guards from the Marshal Mansion saw Huang Xiaolong coming out and hurried forward, “Young Master!”

Huang Xiaolong nodded, “Let’s go.” And then led Fei Hou and the five of them back to the Heavenly Mystical Mansion.

On the way, Fei Hou couldn’t help but ask, “Young Master, school isn’t over yet.

Why did you co out early?”

The other four also looked at Huang Xiaolong, having the sa question in their minds.

Huang Xiaolong spoke, “The woman bear is my class teacher on the day I registered.”

“What?!

That woman bear is the Young Master’s class teacher?!” Fei Hou was astonished, then his voice deepened, “Young Master, did she trouble you again in class today?”

Huang Xiaolong smiled, “So cold mockery is unavoidable.” Then, Huang Xiaolong briefly told Fei Hou and others about the bet involving the freshman assessnt test with Xiong i Qi in three days.

After hearing this, Fei Hou couldn’t help but laugh.

He could almost imagine the scene of Xiong i Qi kneeling in the square and barking like a bear three tis three days later.

It wasn’t long before Huang Xiaolong and the others returned to the Heavenly Mystical Mansion.

Beastman Bo Li and others saw Huang Xiaolong and the group and hurried forward to greet them.

Huang Xiaolong asked them to rise and went to the main hall, then he inquired about the recent situation of the Heavenly Mystical Mansion from Beastman Bo Li.

Beastman Bo Li respectfully answered one by one.

These past few days, the necessary furniture for the mansion had been bought, so empty spaces in the yard had been filled with flowers and plants, and additionally, Beastman Bo Li had ordered so old handrails and walls to be refreshed.

Huang Xiaolong listened and nodded, satisfied, “You’ve done well, you may go now.”

Beastman Bo Li respectfully complied and then led the other servants away.

After Beastman Bo Li and the others had left, Huang Xiaolong dismissed the four guards from the Marshal Mansion, then turned to Fei Hou and asked, “Fei Hou, do you want to break through to Innate?”

“Break through to Innate?!” Fei Hou was stunned, then stuttered, “Sect Leader, do you have a way?!”
