CRACK... RUMBLE...
An incomparably dazzling white light once again flashed in the sky above. The light cascaded down upon the Vampire Snake's head like a waterfall, its power world-shaking.
Fast. Too fast. The entire attack was executed in one smooth motion.
This ti, the Vampire Snake failed to react, letting out a muffled groan as it was subrged in the vast white light. Its fla-wreathed scales sizzled as if doused with a basin of water.
Though his move had landed, Tu Xiao'an showed no joy. Instead, he seized the opportunity to quickly put a great distance between himself and the Vampire Snake. His Power of Thunder and Lightning was unpredictable and not limited by range.
A thought surfaced in Tu Xiao'an's mind. 'If only I could control the Water Ability like the Ancient Cultivated Snakes, I'd be the Vampire Snake's perfect counter.'
'Why would I fear its Fla Power then? All things in creation support and suppress one another. Unfortunately, I only have the Power of Thunder and Lightning for now.'
'But as long as I win today, I'll eventually gain control over all these Attribute Powers.'
The thought vanished in an instant. Tu Xiao'an opened his eyes to a vast expanse of white. Wisps of white smoke drifted up like from a kitchen chimney, but there was no sign of the Vampire Snake.
At that mont, a mountain wind howled in from the distance, kicking up dust and carrying away the white smoke along with the stench of blood from the ground.
Tens of thousands of venomous snakes had been incinerated, and the air in Snake Valley was thick with a foul miasma.
As the white smoke dissipated, the Vampire Snake was revealed once more. Arcs of electricity still danced across its body, but they had clearly failed to inflict any real, substantial damage.
"It's useless. Your level of electricity can't hurt ," the Vampire Snake sneered. Flas swirled within its Snake Pupils, so intensely hot that a single glance could turn the air to white vapor.
Just then, the flas in its Snake Pupils materialized and shot out from its eyes, transforming into two fireballs that rocketed toward the distant Gold and Silver Snake.
The two fireballs streaked across the sky like shooting stars, expanding rapidly in a fleeting glimpse.
Tu Xiao'an glanced sideways and scoffed. 'An attack like this could hurt ?'
'I'd be long gone before those fireballs even got close.'
But just as Tu Xiao'an had this thought, the two fireballs swelled larger and larger, then exploded with a deafening BOOM before they even reached him.
A single spark can start a prairie fire.
In an instant, a Sea of Fire erupted before Tu Xiao'an's eyes. Waves of fla washed over him, feeling like a dagger slicing repeatedly across his skin—a searing, burning pain.
The Gold and Silver Snake's entire body glowed with a brilliant radiance. Its Snake Scales were incredibly tough; how could re waves of fire possibly burn it?
Tu Xiao'an remained perfectly still, allowing the waves of fire to wash over him layer by layer, bathing in the incredibly intense heat.
Seeing this, a vicious light flashed in the Vampire Snake's eyes. In an unbelievable display, it shot fireball after fireball from its Snake Pupils.
"Pathetic tricks."
Tu Xiao'an snorted coldly. His Snake Gaze narrowed, and two bolts of lightning flashed from his eyes, striking the fireballs directly.
BOOM... BOOM... BOOM...
The fireballs exploded in front of the Vampire Snake, filling the sky with flas.
WHOOSH... WHOOSH... WHOOSH...
Imdiately after, a strange light flickered in Tu Xiao'an's Snake Gaze. Bolt after bolt of lightning struck the Vampire Snake, like sharp swords plunging into its flesh.
'You think your fireballs are faster than my Thunder?'
Still, this Fla Power was incredibly potent, capable of lting anything. Tu Xiao'an couldn't help but covet it.
The Vampire Snake howled repeatedly. Electricity coursed over its colossal body with a constant SZZZZT.
"Vampire Snake, once I devour you, your Fla Ability will be mine!"
Even though Tu Xiao'an was a full eight Levels lower than his opponent, he felt no fear. If he were also Level 28 right now, he could crush the Vampire Snake in an instant.
He had always thought he leveled up quickly—he'd gained two consecutive Levels in Snake Gully alone—but compared to the Vampire Snake, his progress was a snail's pace.
There was no telling how many venomous snakes the Vampire Snake had devoured. More importantly, this snake ate humans—it constantly ate humans to rapidly increase its Cultivation.
Since Ancient Tis, the best shortcut for a Demon to rapidly increase its Cultivation has been to eat humans.
Humans are the greatest tonic in heaven and earth.
But Tu Xiao'an couldn't bring himself to do that, and the System probably wouldn't let him anyway. Otherwise, there would be no reason for the Power of Faith to exist.
The System clearly intended to shape Tu Xiao'an into a Snake King who vanquished demons, protected a region, and was worthy of humanity's faith—a True Snake.
It's hard to be a good person, but it's even harder to be a good snake. There are so many rules and shackles.
The Vampire Snake was different. It was an Evil Snake by nature and had no scruples. It ate any human it saw. As long as sothing benefited it, there was nothing it wouldn't dare to do.
"ROAR... DIE... Once I eat you, I will beco the true Snake King!"
The Vampire Snake was struck by several bolts of lightning, but it refused to show any weakness. The area around it grew so hot that even the air seed to evaporate.
Everything before had just been a warm-up, nothing more. Now, Snake Valley was filled with rolling Thunderclaps and towering flas that shot toward the sky.
The once picturesque Snake Valley had beco the arena of Asuras. Tens of thousands of Snake Species with extraordinary bloodlines had died, and now the two terrifying Snake Species, the Gold and Silver Snake and the Vampire Snake, were locked in a back-and-forth battle.
Thunder Shocks bood endlessly as a sky full of flas incinerated everything.
Space continuously tore and trembled, rippling with fluctuations as strange phenona erupted.
By now, only these two snakes should have remained in Snake Valley. Any surviving mbers of the Snake Race would have long since fled far away.
The area had beco too terrifying. It was more exaggerated than a human science fiction movie, like the apocalypse had arrived.
The two snakes, one large and one small, fought with increasing ferocity. Hisses and roars soared into the sky.
As the battle against the Vampire Snake raged on, Tu Xiao'an's initial confidence began to erode. He had thought that after becoming a Rank Two Snake Spirit, he would be able to completely crush the Vampire Snake.
But he had underestimated the Vampire Snake's potential. He never would have imagined it would evolve Fla Power.
With an attribute ability of its own, the Vampire Snake had completely nullified Tu Xiao'an's advantage.
But this was a battle he had to win, and could only win. If he failed, he would be devoured by the Vampire Snake. Then, it would be able to leap to the level of Rank Three Creatures and beco the true Snake King.
This Evil Snake had been bloodthirsty and cruel since the mont it was born—a natural-born killer, utterly cold-blooded, without a trace of emotion.
No matter how bad Jiang Xingze was, he had still freed it from its imprisonnt at Shanye Group. The two of them, human and snake, had shared what could be called a blood bond, yet the Vampire Snake had devoured him in a single bite.
They say venomous snakes are cold-blooded, heartless animals, like ungrateful wolves you can never ta. That description fit the Vampire Snake perfectly.
The stronger and more malevolent this snake beca, the more imperative it was to eliminate it. If it ever left Snake Valley and entered the human world, it would do nothing but eat, devouring everything in its path to enhance its Cultivation.
To Tu Xiao'an, a creature that had gained sentience should have a spirit and emotions. It should be a being of flesh and blood.

Tu Xiao'an's voice shot to the heavens, filled with imnse tenacity and perseverance as it echoed through Snake Valley.
Fighting endlessly like this was pointless. He would gather all his Power of Thunder and Lightning and settle things with the Vampire Snake once and for all.
