Reaching the outskirts of town, the two took a taxi.

The taxi driver was chatty and loved to preach, making Ye Fan listen to him go on for quite so ti, leaving Ye Fan with a wry smile.

Ye Fan nodded, asking the driver to drop Li Zhaojun at the company’s entrance before heading to Lu Xiaoman’s place.
At the door of Lu Xiaoman’s residence, Ye Fan hesitated.
The experiences between him and Lu Xiaoman were nurous, but having won the heart and loyalty of this beautiful, gentle woman, he couldn’t bear the guilt of having neglected her to run after Li Zhaojun.

Within a few steps, Lu Xiaoman was at the door, opening it to reveal her haggard face that broke Ye Fan’s heart. She initially reacted with joy, followed by a sense of grievance, and was soon overwheld by sadness, sobbing as she threw herself into Ye Fan’s arms.
