Capítulo 1273: Chapter 1269: Military Surveillance

Ye Fan took Li Zhaojun to et both of their families to announce their wedding date. He planned to officially hold a wedding ceremony to marry Li Zhaojun.

Previously, Ye Fan had never had a substantial relationship with Li Zhaojun, not because he didn’t want to, but as Sang Yuan ntioned, Li Zhaojun’s current cultivation would be adversely affected by losing her chastity. This would not only halt her progress but also make her prone to entering a state of confusion. Ye Fan couldn’t indulge himself at the risk of endangering Li Zhaojun, so he shifted the responsibility to the wedding plans, making it easier for Li Zhaojun to accept in her heart.

Even though they hadn’t truly consummated their relationship, Ye Fan and Li Zhaojun had many intimate interactions. Li Zhaojun’s tenderness towards him made him feel warm, a sense of family supporting each other. Owning soone’s heart is often more important than possessing their body.

Ye Fan took the evening flight to leave, keeping his travel records in one place. As a national secret special intelligence agent, his movents were constantly monitored. Since he had flown to the capital, returning directly would arouse suspicion. Recently, Ye Fan found it odd that he hadn’t received any secret missions after the ninja espionage incident in Hua Hai city. Perhaps suspicion of a “mole” within the ranks had arisen, and Ye Fan was mistakenly suspected and needed to be monitored.

The flights between the capital and Hua Hai city were among the most frequent in all of Hua Xia. Despite being early September with tight ticket availability, Ye Fan managed to secure a ticket through the help of the Han Group.

On the plane, Ye Fan noticed soone seed to be watching him—a man and a woman posing as a couple, frequently whispering to each other. His highly sensitive ears picked up on the coded phrases like “herding cattle on the prairie” or “going to the sea to eat grass,” suggesting they were on a special surveillance mission. Ye Fan and Li Zhaojun appeared to be their targets. Despite the lack of Spiritual Energy in them, traces of ancient martial arts skills confird Ye Fan’s suspicions. He felt a tinge of sadness; he had risked much to rescue Shen Yan and foil the ninjas’ plot but ended up under suspicion himself, leading to surveillance and neglect.

“Who are they?” Li Zhaojun eventually noticed the odd behavior of the pair.

Ye Fan replied softly, “In short, the state doubts my loyalty and has sent people to monitor . Don’t mind them; only the guilty need fear.”

Now, Ye Fan focused on saving the Pan Gu secret realm and confronting celestial tribulations, trying not to worry about earthly matters. The state’s suspicion ant fewer troubleso assignnts, which was a relief. As a soldier, he was used to following orders, but his current responsibilities transcended national or ethnic battles, involving the entire human race.

Returning to Hua Hai city, Sun Ning had already arranged for a car to wait outside the airport. Ye Fan and Li Zhaojun got into the vehicle, with Sun Ning driving them back. Sang Yuan followed discreetly, like a ghost, even during the flight, to avoid causing unnecessary trouble for ordinary people.

“Mr. Ye, do you want to return to Ning Hai city or head to your residence in Hua Hai city?” Sun Ning asked.

“Staying in Hua Hai city is fine.” Ye Fan closed his eyes, ditating, while Li Zhaojun glanced back. She sensed the two people who had been watching Ye Fan on the plane were now trailing the convoy about a hundred ters away, showcasing their high tracking abilities.

“How did they manage to follow us?” Li Zhaojun asked.

Ye Fan replied with his eyes still closed, “It’s a military tracking technique using high-tech materials to create a small thermal tracking source. As long as we stay within a 500-ter radius, they can trace our movents.”

“You seem to know a lot,” Li Zhaojun said, slightly irritated.

“Of course, although I haven’t tracked anyone this way before, I’ve researched this technology. They think I’m clueless, using such outdated techniques to follow —it disappoints . If I harbored any malice, I could easily make those trackers disappear without a trace!” Ye Fan said with a hint of nace.

Li Zhaojun closed her eyes, sensing, “They seem to have stopped.”

“Yes, they overheard what I just said, so they won’t follow anymore,” Ye Fan responded calmly.

Li Zhaojun glanced sideways at Ye Fan, “Aren’t you worried they’ll report this?”

“Why should I be? If I noticed the tail and didn’t react, that would be suspicious. The ones who sent these trackers should understand that many techniques are useless against , especially these clumsy personal shadowing tactics—it’s outdated.” Though Ye Fan despised these surveillance tactics, he acknowledged their effectiveness at tis. Perhaps his superiors knew his specialization in dragon intelligence made tracking him difficult, so they resorted to simple thods to muddle through.

At least Sun Ning and her team hadn’t detected the tail.

“Mr. Ye, you an we’re being followed?” Sun Ning asked nervously.

“Don’t worry, just drive. Considering my cultivation level, do I need to bother with them?” Ye Fan said.

Sun Ning thought about it; her young mistress, Han Qing’er, had reached the Golden Core Stage, immune to bullets and artillery. Ye Fan’s cultivation was even more formidable, reaching levels unknown to her, putting him beyond any threat at this state level.

The convoy finally stopped at a suburban villa where Lan Jing, Min Shang, Wu Ding, Han Qing’er, and the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman awaited Ye Fan’s return in the living room.

Upon entering, Lan Jing and Min Shang approached him, while Han Qing’er wasn’t qualified to speak to Ye Fan. Wu Ding felt conflicted, as she originally intended to devote herself to Ye Fan. Still, Ye Fan exposed Tianxuan Sect’s manipulation, leaving her feeling troubled.

Ye Fan glanced at the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman, not avoiding the topic in the presence of others, “I have t Wuying and her daughter before.”
