Ye Fan pondered for a mont. According to what the Mysterious Woman said, both the Shadowless Woman and she are third-generation deities. The first generation of gods should undoubtedly be Pan Gu, who ranks among the supre in the ancient mighty beings.

Compared with the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman, they are not quite qualified. As to who qualifies to be among the ten great ancient powers, that’s beyond Ye Fan’s knowledge.

As for Xi He, she is none other than the Sun Goddess in Chinese mythology, while Lei Zu was the wife of the Yellow Emperor. The Mysterious Woman was now threatening Ye Fan harshly. Ye Fan shrugged, "Senior, you seem not to have ntioned why there is a conflict between you and the Shadowless Woman."
"There is no conflict between her and . Whatever she wishes to do or thinks of is her own business. Don’t bring this matter up to again," the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman sternly replied, "I need to rest now. Please leave; this is not your room!"
The Mysterious Woman spoke with an incredibly arrogant attitude. Ye Fan nearly considered trying out the thod in his mind, stepping forward to "provoke" her, to see if she could resist revealing her cultivation or if she truly was a woman without cultivation. If so, he could use this tactic to let her know he wasn’t soone to be trifled with.
But in the end, he dismissed the idea and walked out of the room. Not to ntion that Li Zhaojun and Min Shang didn’t suspect anything happened in the room, even Lan Jing had already gone back, showing no interest in the relationship between Ye Fan and the Mysterious Woman. When she saw little Lan Jing return, she imdiately took little Lan Jing inside to play. "How was it?" Li Zhaojun asked as Ye Fan ca out.
"I didn’t find out anything of value," Ye Fan replied, looking at Sang Yuan standing by the side. "Co with outside; I have sothing to ask you and a task for you to help with."
Ye Fan let Li Zhaojun and Min Shang return to the room first, while he left the villa with Sang Yuan.
Not flying with a sword or taking a car, Ye Fan just walked with Sang Yuan along the suburban roads of Hua Hai City. Sang Yuan wasn’t aware of the conversation between Ye Fan and the Mysterious Woman. Ye Fan, appearing sullen as if holding a grudge, made her dare not speak, just quietly following behind.
"What exactly do you know about the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman?" Ye Fan was quite annoyed with the previous attitude of the Mysterious Woman, but he granted Lan Jing and Sang Yuan so face, not quarreling with the Mysterious Woman. Otherwise, he might make her taste the humiliation of being defiled. Ye Fan’s dual Nascent Soul indeed made his temperant sowhat irritable, causing him to be unable to tolerate the Mysterious Woman’s attitude.
However, he did get one piece of information from her: the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman hinted that the Shadowless Woman, or Xi He, might have so "thoughts" towards her. Ye Fan interpreted this as a covert indication that Xi He perhaps pursued her at one ti, only to be cruelly rejected. This led Xi He to leave with Lei Zu and completely abandon matters concerning the Immortal Gods until Xi He discovered Lei Zu was pregnant. Yet, Xi He didn’t know whose child Lei Zu was carrying. Ye Fan speculates that because Xi He, like the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman, had daughters without a material Spiritual Body, she suspects the man who fathered Lei Zu’s child is the sa as the one for the Mysterious Woman, fundantally altering her character.
Xi He’s current aim is to resurrect Lei Zu and figure out what happened in the past. Although she hates the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman, she unintentionally protects her, proving that Xi He is a woman of deep emotions and loyalty, rely betrayed by Lei Zu.
Ye Fan contemplated: in ancient mythology, Lei Zu is the Yellow Emperor’s wife, and the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman is considered his teacher. There are even legends describing her as a handmaid of the Yellow Emperor, so is it impossible for their daughter to be fathered by the Yellow Emperor?
However, this is within the Chinese mythological frawork, and whether such a person as the "Yellow Emperor" truly exists in their authentic system remains unknown, or perhaps he does, and Xi He just wasn’t aware.
Even Xi He had a husband in na, Emperor Jun, so Lei Zu could similarly have one. There’s no way Xi He wouldn’t know.
Sang Yuan seed sowhat evasive, "I beg your pardon, my lord, but I am not clear about the matters concerning the Divine Mother. I ask for your forgiveness."
She was not unaware but rather knew so things she dared not disclose. Although now a handmaid of Ye Fan, in her heart, she still revered the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman, who created her—much like a husband on one hand and a mother on the other. She found herself caught in between, in a very difficult position.
Ye Fan did not press her, but many questions swirled in his mind. His earlier encounter with the Mysterious Woman’s cold deanor left him quite irritated.
"Let’s go," Ye Fan said, "Take to the residence of Sect Master Ling of the Earth Origin Sect."
Sang Yuan knew Ling was already Ye Fan’s servant. Even though this relationship, calculating in Earth’s ti, had lasted less than four months, it was now in effect.
