Ye Fan used the Tongling Mirror to sense the changes in the surrounding environnt, and even the Tongling Mirror couldn’t determine whether the surroundings were an illusion because Xi He’s cultivation was so advanced that she could create a true "fairy tale world." In this world, there were people who lived their entire lives without knowing they were actually living in a dream.
Within this illusion, Ye Fan couldn’t sense the presence of any living beings, but soon, a figure appeared before him. This person was identical in appearance to Xi He, but Ye Fan couldn’t discern if she was a real person or an illusion.
"Young man nad Ye, you know, I can trap you in this illusion, and you’ll never be able to escape!" Xi He said with a smile.
Ye Fan replied, "Senior, you can give it a try!"
"Alright, then let tell you, in this illusion, you won’t be able to find any flaws. This world took three thousand years to create; every blade of grass and tree, even the people and events within, are just like the Pan Gu secret realm. When I arrived on Earth, I created a world identical to Earth. You can freely traverse these two worlds. If you can find any flaw in either world, I will consider you the victor without you needing to break through the illusion!" Xi He was very confident in her "masterpiece."
Inwardly, Ye Fan was also shocked. For Xi He to be able to create a world identical to the real one, just how terrifying was her cultivation?
Ye Fan hadn’t spent much ti in the Pan Gu secret realm and wasn’t familiar with every blade of grass and tree there, but Earth was his ho, so finding a flaw would basically involve searching Earth.
"Okay," Ye Fan said, "What kind of flaw does Senior an?"
"Find it yourself," Xi He laughed, "Even your inner thoughts, I can see clearly because I can see through a person’s heart, so trying to use that to find a flaw is futile. That’s all the hint I can give you, now go!"
Xi He disappeared from Ye Fan’s sight instantly. Ye Fan walked out of the courtyard, which seed empty. Outside, the sky was overcast as if rain was imminent. As the tribulation approached in the Pan Gu secret realm, the black acid rain had beco a catastrophe for the people everywhere, and where Ye Fan was was no exception.
"Sang Yuan?" Ye Fan called out.
Suddenly, a figure appeared behind Ye Fan, it was Sang Yuan. Sang Yuan walked over and respectfully saluted, "Young Master."
"Hmm?" Ye Fan scrutinized Sang Yuan. She looked no different than the one he saw inside the villa, but he knew this Sang Yuan was an illusion created by Xi He, fundantally nonexistent. Ye Fan asked, "Why are you here?"
"Young Master, have you forgotten? We ca to track down the whereabouts of the demon, but you said this place seed familiar, as if seen in a dream, so you brought here to check. I dared not disobey your wishes." Sang Yuan seed puzzled, it was clearly Ye Fan who brought her here, so why was Ye Fan asking her in the end?
Ye Fan nodded, knowing this should be a "plot" created by Xi He in this world. The people in this illusion, though identical to those he knew outside, Xi He couldn’t possibly know all their hidden features, so she simply used a nonexistent worldview to replace the real one.
Even detecting flaws was very difficult; unlike previous tis where he couldn’t differentiate between illusion and reality in illusions, he was very sure now that he was inside an illusion, everything was unreal, so he didn’t need to bear any emotional baggage for those inside the illusion.
"Master, are we going back?" Just then, Ye Fan suddenly felt a few small crystals erge from his storage bracelet: little Purple Crystal, little Lan Jing, little Red Crystal, and little Black Crystal. These small crystals were entirely illusions created, not ones owned by Ye Fan before.
"Hmm." Ye Fan nodded, "How long have you been out?"
"Master, you haven’t helped little Black and little Blue get human bodies yet. They just got their bodies and are not quite used to it. Master, why not pamper us a little?" Little Red Crystal said, now with a human form, standing affectionately before Ye Fan.
Ye Fan awaited a response from the Tongling Mirror, but he found, unfortunately, that the Tongling Mirror seed to have lost its efficacy in this illusion, showing no response at all.
"Sang Yuan, let’s go back to Hua Hai City!" Ye Fan knew he couldn’t have relations with any of the girls around him, as this was part of the illusion’s trial, and should he end up with one of them, his Pure Yang Spiritual Energy, the Tongling Mirror, and the girl’s blood might beco a diator, allowing Sang Yuan’s beloved woman to obtain a human body, which would an a failure in Ye Fan’s challenge.
He had to avoid forming emotional burdens with anyone in this world.
Sang Yuan, as usual, tore the space open, taking Ye Fan back to Hua Hai City.
It was night in Hua Hai City, around eleven o’clock. The streets were bustling with traffic, and even by half past midnight, the nightlife was rich in this sleepless city. As Ye Fan walked down the streets, everything felt familiar, with no sign of being fabricated.
"Young Master, are you going straight back? The Lady asked you to co back early!" Sang Yuan said.
"The Lady? Are you referring to Zhao Jun?" Ye Fan asked.
"Who is Zhao Jun?" Sang Yuan looked surprised, "Young Master, isn’t your legitimate wife, the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman?"
"What?" Ye Fan frowned.
In this created illusion, his "legitimate wife" was actually the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman? How twisted was Xi He to match him with the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman as husband and wife?
"Let’s go back!" Ye Fan didn’t feel much resistance in his heart, knowing it was an illusion, he considered it a play, enjoying the scenery within, and experiencing the different flavors from reality. Now he just needed to find the flaws in this illusion, and only by eting more people and communicating more could he find the loophole.
Sang Yuan once again tore the space open, and Ye Fan appeared in the villa he had just left, even in the room he was in before entering the illusion. There, a woman was sitting on the bed arranging her clothes, turning back to look at him tenderly.
"Master!" The voice was very respectful, as she walked over to kneel before Ye Fan, first helping to take off his boots, placing them neatly, and then rising to lead Ye Fan to the bedside.
She did things so attentively that Ye Fan felt she truly seed like a virtuous woman.
But in truth, she was the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman who had always been cold and indifferent to him before.
"My Lady!" Sang Yuan, who had followed Ye Fan in, saluted the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman.
"No need for formalities," the Nine Heavens Mysterious Woman said, turning back to hug Ye Fan, leaning her head against his chest, asking, "Master said you were going to do sothing, has it been completed?"
