“Nonsense, if Alliance Hierarch Ye had evidence, do you think your Tianxuan Sect would still have the right to exist?” Sang Yuan retorted angrily.
Ye Fan waved his hand and said, “There’s no need to be discourteous to Elder Wu. I’m simply informing you, Elder Wu, that your Sect Master Hua is likely involved with the demon, and your Tianxuan Sect must now choose a new Sect Master to take charge of the situation. You have one hour to discuss and decide.”
Ye Fan’s demand was rude, yet also pragmatic.
Since the Tianxuan Sect, from Sect Master Hua Wu to the elders, has either disappeared without a trace or pledged allegiance to Ye Fan, leaving Elder Wu as the only person left, Ye Fan couldn’t appoint soone else as the new Sect Master. It could only be Elder Wu.
Ye Fan’s proposal for Elder Wu to take charge was reasonable, and it seed the Tianxuan Sect had no grounds to refuse.
However, Elder Wu was reluctant to be forced into becoming the Sect Master of Tianxuan Sect, because above him, aside from Hua Wu, there were still Master Hui Ning and Jing Ya, both of whom were his senior disciples with higher status, cultivation, and seniority. If he bypassed Jing Ya and Master Hui Ning to beco the Sect Master, no one would be convinced.
“Alliance Hierarch Ye, isn’t this a bit too much?” Elder Wu said.
“If you find this burdenso, then I will personally choose soone to beco the Sect Master of Tianxuan Sect. If you’re displeased about that, don’t bla for being untrustworthy!” Ye Fan declared.
Elder Wu was at a loss. If Ye Fan forcibly appointed a Sect Master, Tianxuan Sect could crumble due to internal power struggles, because apart from Elder Wu and others, there were many honorary elders who were currently not in Tianxuan Sect but exploring and training in different secret realms or human settlents.
If Ye Fan wanted to control the Tianxuan Sect, he could easily find such a person to take charge, and the sect would then fall into soone else’s hands. Elder Wu couldn’t preserve the legacy of their predecessors, which was not an outco he wished to see.
“Elder Wu, I respect your standing in the martial world, but don’t mistake my kindness for weakness. Sang Yuan scoffed, “You’re the only remaining gate elder of Tianxuan Sect. If you don’t succeed as Sect Master, who will? You’re not planning to let soone else take on this responsibility, are you?”
Only then did Elder Wu realize that the deadline Ye Fan gave him was only the duration of a conversation; Ye Fan only needed an affirmative answer now.
“Alright!” Elder Wu finally conceded in frustration, “Since Alliance Hierarch Ye wants to beco the Sect Master of Tianxuan Sect, I will temporarily assu the role. Later, should my fellow seniors return, or the Sect Master return and prove he’s not involved with the demon, I beg Alliance Hierarch Ye to show rcy and let them take over. I have no intention of opposing you!”
Ye Fan said, “We’ll discuss it when the ti cos!”

Ye Fan waved his hand and said, “Bring it in!”
“Yes!” The woman turned around respectfully and signaled to those behind her. Soon, three female cultivators, approximately in the Body Integration Realm, each possessing beauty, approached Ye Fan with three wooden boxes, knelt down, and said, “We greet the young master!”
Sang Yuan watched Ye Fan, seemingly seeking confirmation whether this was to Ye Fan’s satisfaction.
Ye Fan waved his hand and said, “Sang Yuan, open the boxes for !”
