Within the illusion, the one imprisoned was Shen Yan.
The relationship between Shen Yan and Ye Fan was very complex, as there were feelings between them, but also a lack of so kind of mutual understanding. At tis, Shen Yan, while being used by Xi He, even attempted to kill Ye Fan and the won around him. It wasn’t until she was in the illusion that she began to recall many things, wanting to find her lost mories. Unfortunately, now she was once again under Xi He’s control, with no way to escape.
However, since Shen Yan had previously been controlled by Xi He, she developed an immunity to Xi He’s spiritual power, so she wasn’t completely lost.
The tiline where she was didn’t belong to the post-human era but was actually during the Cretaceous, a ti dominated by dinosaurs.

Shen Yan couldn’t even recall the dinosaurs’ nas. She had previously enjoyed studying these ancient era things. It was precisely because her mory contained such things that Xi He exploited her. Xi He knew of Shen Yan’s interest in ancient dinosaurs by probing her latent mories.
She had stayed in this space-ti for several decades, always trying to find so flaw in it and recover her lost self, but Xi He’s control over the illusion was deep, giving her no chance.

Approximately fifty years into her stay in this unique space-ti, a strong light suddenly appeared in the sky, a purple light.
She didn’t know where this light ca from but felt it was familiar, so she imdiately used her inner spiritual energy to respond to the light.
This light was precisely emitted by Ye Fan to locate Shen Yan. Once his elental force connected with Shen Yan’s response, his elental force would, over ti, remain on the sa tiline as Shen Yan.
At that mont, the dinosaurs on the ground, frightened, scattered. Shen Yan ignored them, wanting to move towards the light when suddenly a purple lightning bolt flashed across the sky, followed by an incredibly powerful energy body appearing in her presence.
"...Ye Fan, give up!" Shen Yan heard a voice that made her feel disgusted, for it was the voice of Xi He, who once imprisoned and used her.
Xi He didn’t believe Ye Fan could find the tiline where Shen Yan existed, but Ye Fan indeed found it, taking much less ti than Xi He had imagined.
Upon arriving in this space, Ye Fan imdiately used his power to explore if there were any human cultivators on Earth. Soon he detected a familiar presence, which was only a few dozen kiloters away from him.
"Master, it seems we’ve found her!" Su Nu also detected Shen Yan’s presence.
Xi He, currently under suppression by Ye Fan, couldn’t explore, still incredulous, said: "Stop deceiving yourselves; you won’t find her!"
As Xi He was distracted, she suddenly noticed an orange figure approaching from afar, resembling a gorgeous cloud.
"What is that?" Xi He also sensed this power.
Ye Fan gazed at the figure, deeply moved. After not long apart from Shen Yan, it felt like they were separated by worlds and ti again, yet now he found the beauty once more.
"Who are you? Why have you co here?" Shen Yan wielded her sword, pointing it at Ye Fan.
Su Nu stood in front of Ye Fan, saying, "You, woman, have no sense. My master ca to save you, and you dare to fight?"
Ye Fan gestured Su Nu to step aside. He leapt forward, saying, "Yanyan, it’s !"
"You... how do you know my na?" Shen Yan didn’t rember much else, but in those fifty years, she recalled her na, rembering she was Shen Yan, affectionately called Yanyan.
Though she couldn’t recollect the man’s appearance from her dreams, she rembered the man called her "Yanyan," identical to the voice uttered by the person before her.
"We knew each other before, we were friends, so of course, I know your na. You’re currently imprisoned by Xi He in this illusion, and you’ve surely lost many mories. If I take you away from here, you’ll regain them!" Ye Fan said.
