“Who are these people?” the Mysterious Maiden looked up and asked.
“If I’m not mistaken, these should be the immortals who ascended during the Middle Ages,” Ye Fan responded, suddenly filled with anticipation. After all, there might be elders from his sect among them. The Li Fire Sect, during the Middle Ages, was the largest sect in the Pan Gu Secret Realm. A few Ascended immortals were to be expected, though how they’ve fared in the Immortal World is another matter.
The Mysterious Maiden glanced at Ye Fan and said, “Your Li Fire Sect elders are likely far inferior to you in cultivation. You’ve never been to the Immortal World, yet your level surpasses those who have. How will you interact with those elders when you et them?”
Ye Fan sighed, and indeed, as she said, his cultivation was likely superior to those of the Li Fire Sect’s elders. Exactly how much stronger wasn’t clear, but he remained a junior in their eyes, needing to be respectful unless he chose to disavow his identity as a disciple of the Li Fire Sect. Ye Fan and the Mysterious Maiden stood alone in a corner. The darkness engulfing Jianghuo Star covered their presence, and no one noticed them. The Immortal World’s customs generally prevented conflicts at such assemblies, allowing them to linger unnoticed.
“Is everyone here?” A female immortal erged from behind the volcanic crater, commanding high respect, as evidenced by the reverent deanor of those who saw her.
Ye Fan perceived that her cultivation was on par with his own.
