The application letter and form were filled with approvals at all levels and stamped with many red clay seals or steel stamps.
Ye Fan picked up the pen and made the final signature, then reached for the red inkpad and pressed his thumbprint on both the application letter and form.
Lu Chengqiang watched all of Ye Fan’s actions, saw the final endorsent by Ye Fan, sighed dejectedly, then turned his face away, tilting it upwards to stop the tears in his eyes from spilling.
Ye Fan stood up, walked over to Lu Chengqiang, and said solemnly, “Comrade Lu Chengqiang, the organization has approved your application for retirent due to injuries.
From today onwards, you are no longer a soldier, but please do not forget the heart that the corps taught you, to always serve the people and defend the country.”

“Alright then,” Ye Fan agreed.
Upon entering the city, Ye Fan drove directly to the Heroic Bar.
