Chapter 714: Chapter 710: Ye Fan’s Confusion
After the three were seated, Wang Shu smiled and said, “Director Su, calling him ‘young brother’ might not be quite appropriate.”
“Oh?” The robust middle-aged man replied with a smile, his gaze returning to Ye Fan.
Wang Jianru continued, “Let give you a formal introduction.”
“Chairman Su Yueheng, the chairman of Tianheng Group. Tianheng Group has strong capabilities, with subsidiaries in all lines of business, and is the largest enterprise group in our Anhui Province. Director Su has his roots in our Mingde County,” he said to Ye Fan, introducing the robust middle-aged man.
Then, he introduced Ye Fan to Su Yueheng, “This gentleman is the political commissar of our county’s police departnt, comrade Ye Fan.”
“Hello, Director Su,” Ye Fan greeted proactively.
Su Yueheng cracked a smile and laughed, “Haha, it turns out to be Chief Ye, hello, hello.”
He spoke and extended his hand for a handshake.
Ye Fan reached out to shake his hand and imdiately felt that Su Yueheng’s palm was large, powerful, steady, and covered in calluses.
Once they finished the handshake, Su Yueheng smiled and said, “Young Brother Ye is already the political commissar of the police departnt at such a young age, he must be quite exceptional, right?”
“Haha, Director Su is absolutely right,” Wang Jianru joined in with a laugh, “Ye was transferred from the military, where, before his transfer, he had made many achievents as a major. After taking office in our county, he has shown himself to be both intelligent and brave. Initially, when he had just started his position, we happened to have a very serious serial murder case. The special case team had already identified a suspect ready to be handed over for trial. “Is that really so incredible?” Su Yueheng widened his tiger-like eyes as he spoke.
Wang Jianru laughed and said, “This is sothing everyone knows about, how could I possibly lie to you?”
Ye Fan modestly replied with a light smile, “Actually, the credit mainly goes to the overall effort of the special case team. I just built on the hard work they had put into their investigation over many days; it was a case of bystanders seeing the situation clearer and being at the right place at the right ti.”
“Haha, to achieve success at such a young age and still remain so modest, that’s indeed rare,” Su Yueheng laughed heartily.
Wang Jianru then recounted the recent ard robbery case where Ye Fan, single-handedly and without any harm to himself, rescued hostages and captured all the criminals.
Listening to the conversation between Wang Jianru and Su Yueheng, Ye Fan felt very puzzled; why were they focusing their conversation on him?
Logically speaking, even if Wang Jianru was introducing him, a sentence or two would have sufficed. And as for Su Yueheng, it would have been enough to simply know that he was the political commissar of the county’s police departnt; there was no need to pay such attention, let alone listen with such relish to his accomplishnts.
After Wang Jianru introduced his achievents, Su Yueheng seed to take a liking to Ye Fan and struck up a conversation with him.
Ye Fan suppressed his curiosity and spoke with Su Yueheng in an unhurried manner.
Although Su Yueheng, being significantly older and the chairman of a large group, was substantial, Ye Fan did not pay him much mind. If Su Yueheng wanted to chat with him, he would go along with it for Wang Jianru’s sake.
They conversed for about ten minutes before Su Yueheng finally stopped and turned to talk with Wang Jianru.
The two discussed so investnt matters in Mingde County; these were of no concern to Ye Fan, so he didn’t interject heedlessly and sat quietly instead.
The conversation between Su Yueheng and Wang Jianru lasted for about six or seven minutes before concluding.
Wang Jianru got up to leave, and Ye Fan was a little stunned.
Damn, was Su Yueheng’s main goal actually to chat with him, or to discuss investnts with Wang Jianru?
After saying goodbye to Su Yueheng, Ye Fan left the private room together with Wang Jianru.
Entering the elevator, Wang Jianru clapped Ye Fan’s shoulder and laughed, “Young Ye, thank you for joining . It was quite a fruitful trip.”
“Bookkeeper Wang, you’re too polite. I didn’t do much,” Ye Fan replied with a light smile.
Wang Jianru laughed heartily, clearly pleased.
Ye Fan, although curious about why Wang Jianru had brought him along to et Su Yueheng, knew that if Wang Jianru didn’t speak up voluntarily, he probably wouldn’t reveal the reason, even if asked.
However, he had a clear judgent in his heart that Su Yueheng definitely wanted to et him beforehand. As for why Su Yueheng wanted to see him, he couldn’t co up with an answer.
The elevator arrived at the underground parking lot, and until they each got into their cars and drove out of Xingyao Night Club, Wang Jianru hadn’t explained the reason.
And once out of Xingyao Night Club, Wang Jianru was going back ho, and Ye Fan couldn’t possibly follow.
Looking at the ti, it wasn’t even nine o’clock yet, the party wasn’t over. However, Ye Fan didn’t plan on returning.
Taking out his cellphone, Ye Fan called Zhao Lina.
Soon, the call connected.
“Chief Zhao, are you still at the party?” Ye Fan asked.
Zhao Lina snorted coldly, “What do you think?”
“Hehe, I was just escorting Secretary Wang, got pulled in to talk about so stuff. I’m not going back to the party, heading straight to the dorm,” Ye Fan said, “You should head back to the dorm too.”
A cold snort was the response before the call was hung up.
Ye Fan put away his phone with a wry smile.
He knew, Zhao Lina was definitely angry tonight.
But let’s talk about Su Yueheng, who after Ye Fan and Wang Jianru had left, sat and rested in the private room for seven or eight minutes before he too left the private room.
Driven in a Bentley by a professional chauffeur, Su Yueheng left the night club and, after about ten minutes, arrived at a villa in the east of the city, which covered an area of an acre.
In the entire villa’s courtyard, the lights were bright, and although it was still less than a day before New Year’s Eve, it already had the festive look.
Getting out of the car, Su Yueheng entered the main villa, passed through the hall on the ground floor, and went straight up to the living room on the second floor.

Looking at the smiling face of his daughter, Su Yueheng replied with a hearty smile, “Hard work? Not at all.”
With that, he walked over to the sofa and sat down grandly.
Su ngchen naturally sat down as well.
“Where’s your mom?” Su Yueheng casually asked.
“She got dragged off to play mahjong,” Su ngchen replied.
“Oh,” Su Yueheng acknowledged, unbothered, then chuckled, “My precious daughter, guess who your dad t today?”
“Who? Principal Wei?” Su ngchen asked curiously.
Su Yueheng laughed heartily, “Not him, he’s not worth eting. Today, I t Ye Fan.”
As he said this, worrying Su ngchen might be upset, he quickly added, “I didn’t et him on purpose, I just happened to run into him at the event.”
“If you t, you t,” Su ngchen said with a rosy face, “What does it have to do with ? He’s just an ordinary friend to .”
Father knows his daughter best, and Su Yueheng laughed teasingly, “So it’s unrelated, huh? I thought the lad was quite decent and was planning on secretly giving him so support. Since that’s the case, then forget it.”
