Otherwise, he would either die or be completely demonized, becoming the monster that would destroy Sunset City.

Terrifying power caused the whole Sunset City to tremble, even causing the array at Sunset City to subtly fluctuate!
Such an exaggerated attack, Qingling Taoist couldn't completely block, spitting blood while being sent flying, crashing heavily onto the street like a fallen teor, kicking up massive dust resembling a sandstorm, rely the aftereffects smashing everything nearby into pieces.
Blood and debris intermingled, scattering explosively, cries and pleas echoing together, yet unable to affect the intense combat between the two in the slightest.
Like gods fighting, mortals suffer.

Then losing the Demon Martial Artist's amplification ability, that guy's actual power would plumt, becoming practically useless!"

The ground suddenly sank, a fearful force making his Spirit Shield creak!
As Qingling Taoist adjusted his stance, Lord Hai Lin launched a sneak attack.
Accompanied by the eye-like tree pattern on Lord Hai Lin's arm closing another eye.
The frightful punch, its exaggerated power, pressing Qingling Taoist's eyes almost roll back, yet his aura in that instant, bizarrely surged up!
Spirit, at that mont, briefly seized his body.

Nothing was clear.
Lord Hai Lin barely saw how the opponent attacked, yet he was already hit.
A huge wound, top to bottom, nearly splitting him in half!!
The horrendous slicing force split open his forehead, severed demonized scales, and cut flesh down to the skull, the terror only propelling him backwards, crashing through multiple residential buildings, before finally landing and stopping.
Touching his face.
The skin on his forehead already peeled back, touching exposed skull bone, further below touching the exposed nasal bone, even a line-like cut splitting the chest open, exposing the beating heart inside.
Only now did Lord Hai Lin comprehend the terror of that strike.
"Just now... what was that?"
Not sothing from Qingling Taoist, in other words, not Qingling Taoist's previous exhibited power!
"That's not Qingling Taoist's strength, that is... the power of Spirit!!!"
"He's finally utterly consud by Spirit's influence..."
Just as Lord Hai Lin thought this... a fierce beast-like roar suddenly sounded from ahead!!
"Push him back!!!!"
A terrifying shockwave exploded from Qingling Taoist's surroundings, launching everything away, leaving only him trembling intensely, gasping, clutching his chest.
The once tidy hair bun unknowingly fallen, amidst disheveled hair, revealing an eye, glaring terrifyingly at Lord Hai Lin.

He roared angrily at Lord Hai Lin: "This is..."

Seemingly overexerted, or perhaps exerting all his strength, Qingling Taoist's eyes gradually rolled upwards...
And then, his aura abruptly changed!
Oddly, after the transformation, Qingling Taoist elegantly extended three fingers, touched his chin, and calmly said.
"Even if I die, even if I lose control, the possessed will still seize Sunset City, completing my plans... Is this what you want to say? My, dog."
Clearly using Qingling Taoist's voice.
Clearly Qingling Taoist was speaking.
But Lord Hai Lin was unmistakably certain... that guy was no longer Qingling Taoist!!
