Having the Dantian, there's no need for such complications; the Dantian will continuously absorb Qi, retain a portion for oneself, and enhance one's control over Qi. It serves as one's own node within the realm of [Qi], facilitating future ingress and egress.
Before possessing a Dantian, however, mastering Qi is quite challenging—this is why so people can learn Qi while others cannot.
Moreover, depending on where the Dantian is condensed, the difficulty of forming the Dantian also varies.
Fortunately, the Qi Gathering Technique is a very straightforward Qi Technique.
Hence, the difficulty of forming the Dantian is relatively simple.
As for 'entering Qi', which ans resonating the body with Qi, Qi Gathering Technique provides several auxiliary thods.
This is the most valuable part of the Qi Cultivation thod.
Without a Cultivation Technique, relying solely on personal research, one might spend a lifeti wandering outside the threshold of entering Qi, unable to find the thod of resonance.
But Qi Techniques, accumulating wisdom from predecessors, provide shortcuts, making this threshold structured and not just a matter of blind research.
"At noon, surrounded by smoke, with the deanor of nine changes, disrupts [Qi] patterns, and thereby perceives 'entering Qi'."
Smoke is the vapor produced after incense is burned.
Naturally, Fang Yu's residence has it.
According to the Qi Gathering Technique, it specifically ntioned several kinds of precious incense, seemingly to increase the success rate.
Sadly, Fang Yu's residence doesn't have them, and based on the descriptions, each is extravagantly expensive, beyond what his ans can afford.
Fortunately, ordinary incense can also be substituted, though the effects are not as good.
Clearly, those expensive incenses are the optimal solution, but with substitutes, it also provides a way for commoners.
Truly, the straightforward Qi Gathering Technique is quite reassuring.
Fang Yu first tried by relying on his own efforts.

As long as 'entering Qi' works, the effect doesn't matter much. Otherwise, if the cost of entering Qi is always this high, relying on expensive incense, his finances won't hold up.
He could only hope to 'enter Qi' soon, to light up his proficiency, and save a great deal of expenses.
During the al, he instructed the servants to buy the incense.
After eating with his elder sister, the incense was already bought.

Following the nine forms of Qi Gathering Technique strictly, with precise 2-second, 3-second intervals for each action, he perford nine changes, and then settled into the final posture.

At this point, the most crucial part of 'entering Qi' was accomplished.
Once inside the body, the Qi started being controlled by him, rushing directly to the predetermined position of the Dantian in the abdon, settling there.
With this, one cycle was complete.
The rest is simply a repetition of this process, until a vortex forms at the abdominal position, which is the Dantian.
The Qi Gathering Technique then, can be considered successfully cultivated.
But obviously, it's not sothing that can be completed overnight.
The amount of [Qi] that can be brought nearby by the smoke and the nine forms is already limited, and drawing Qi into the body makes this Qi even more scarce.
Ultimately, the amount of Qi that enters the body is extrely minuscule.
Based on this rate, forming the Dantian could take at least a couple of years to begin with.
Using the precious incense recorded in the Qi Gathering Technique might speed up the process and successfully cultivate earlier.
One can only be thankful, thankful that he doesn't have to endure hardship like native NPCs, otherwise who could withstand doing bitter cultivation for one or two years.
Lighting up proficiency, that would be success.
