When Lin Xinghai said this, everyone in the room perked up, their faces showing keen interest. This included Xu Haishui and Wu Yan, who rarely used firearms.
After all, it never hurts to have another skill. They usually used firearms less simply because their Gun Technique was poor and they were afraid of wasting bullets.
If Lin Xinghai’s guidance could lead to a significant improvent in their skills, it was sothing everyone would be delighted to see.
"Brother Hai, I’ll be the first to sign up! You have to give so extra pointers!" Xu Haishui said at once, a wide grin plastered on his face.
Lin Xinghai didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. "Alright! Go gather everyone, and we’ll assemble in a bit. But you know my energy is limited, so try to pick those with good Gun Technique. Of course, vice-captains and anyone with a higher rank can have priority if they want to learn."
"Got it!" Xu Haishui replied and started to head out. He stopped after just two steps, however, and turned back to ask, "Brother Hai, how many people do you think would be appropriate?"
That was a good question. Lin Xinghai didn’t answer imdiately. Instead, he glanced at Shen Han. "Vice-Commander, when is our next mission?"
The Wild Wolf rcenary Corps wouldn’t give them much ti. It was most likely that they would launch a surprise attack during the next mission.
Therefore, Lin Xinghai planned to decide how many people he could train based on the ti available.
"We had originally planned to resu missions tomorrow. After all, we have to face the Wild Wolf rcenary Corps sooner or later, and even if we do nothing, the rcenary Corps’ daily expenses are considerable."
"However, since you’re going to instruct them in Gun Technique, delaying a few days is no problem. You can decide on the exact timing," Shen Han said.
Hearing this, Lin Xinghai didn’t stand on ceremony and took charge of the decision. "In that case, let’s set it for two days, and the number of people should be no more than 30."
"In two days, those who can improve probably will. As for those who can’t, it’s not a problem that can be solved in a short ti. That requires the accumulation of experience from one battle after another."
When Lin Xinghai said this, everyone in the room had a strange look on their face. It would have been fine if anyone else had said it.
But they had watched with their own eyes as Lin Xinghai’s Gun Technique improved by the hour. ’What was all this talk about accumulation?’
Of course, even though they grumbled internally, no one said a word.
Xu Haishui hurried off to make the arrangents.
Soon, the crowd downstairs erupted. The sound of cheers and chatter was so loud it seed like it would blow the roof off.
In the end, a patrol robot had to co and issue a warning before everyone finally quieted down.
After a round of fierce selection, 30 people were finally chosen.
Of course, not all of them were skilled in Gun Technique. Xu Haishui and Wu Yan were the most obvious examples.
It was worth noting that all the new mbers were among the 30 selected. These newcors already had decent Gun Technique.
The reason they were willing to withstand the pressure from the Morgan Conglorate to join the Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps was all for Lin Xinghai, the Divine Sharpshooter. They hoped to learn sothing from him and further improve their own Gun Technique.
Everyone had originally thought the process would be a long one. They figured they might have to wait a few months, until they had gradually beco veteran mbers of the rcenary Corps, before they’d receive any guidance.
But no one had expected that right after being recruited, they would imdiately have shooting training, personally instructed by the Divine Sharpshooter Lin Xinghai himself.
Looking at the 30 people chosen in the first-floor hall, Lin Xinghai nodded at them. "This training session will last for two days. I hope you all cherish this opportunity."
"For the rest of you who weren’t selected, don’t be disappointed. You’ll have priority for the next training session like this."
After a few brief words, Lin Xinghai led the large group toward the rcenary Guild.
Lin Xinghai was quite familiar with the place by now. With practiced ease, he headed to the shooting training area on the third floor and rented a High Level shooting range.
These High Level shooting ranges cost 100 Points per hour.
Such a price was extrely expensive. Practicing for a full day would cost at least a thousand Points, and most rcenaries weren’t willing to spend that much.
Of course, you got what you paid for. The moving targets here were a cut or two above those in the Basic Level and Interdiate ranges.
The people Lin Xinghai had brought were all skilled mbers of the Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps; ordinary moving targets wouldn’t et their training needs.
Soon, the group entered one of the High Level shooting ranges.
However, due to the limited space, even the High Level shooting range wasn’t very large. The 30 of them packed the shooting lanes, crowding them completely.
The High Level shooting range provided a maximum of three firearms, allowing three people to practice simultaneously.
The one advantage of the training range was that since the provided ammunition was made of low-quality iron, there was no limit on the number of rounds you could use for practice.
Of course, no matter how poor the quality, these bullets still required resources to produce. Recklessly spraying bullets instead of using them for practice was not permitted.
All the training ranges had surveillance, and anyone caught doing so would face a hefty fine.
"Alright, who’s first?" Lin Xinghai asked.
The n exchanged glances. Soon, Roger, Wu Yan, and Xu Haishui stepped forward, picked up the practice firearms, and took their places in the shooting lanes.
"Brother Hai, what’s up?" Xu Haishui was the first to ask.
"Just practice freely. I want to see what issues you each have first, and then I’ll give tailored advice," Lin Xinghai said.
The three imdiately did as they were told. As they practiced, the difference in their Gun Technique beca apparent.
Roger practiced on the 60-ter moving target, Wu Yan was on the 30-ter moving target, and as for Xu Haishui, his was at 25 ters.
All three were doing their best to display their skills, while Lin Xinghai’s eyes scanned back and forth among them.
At the sa ti, he had quietly released his Perception Power, blanketing the entire range and allowing him to perceive every one of their subtle movents with perfect clarity.
He then compared what he saw to the information in his mind.
His Interdiate Design Skill had been granted directly by the system, but the corresponding knowledge had also been implanted in his mind. As a result, instructing these n was a piece of cake; he could effortlessly spot the problems in each person’s technique.
He watched for less than ten seconds before striding over to Xu Haishui, who had the worst Gun Technique.
"You have thirteen minor issues when you shoot—or, you could call them bad habits." Lin Xinghai’s first sentence left Xu Haishui completely stunned.
