Now reading: Chapter 154 - 153: Gun God from Invincible through Touching Corpses, a Sci-fi novel by Crystal head.

The Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps had just recruited 30 elite mbers, and Fang Tianhe was naturally ecstatic. With a grand wave of his hand, he led the entire corps to a barbecue restaurant for a celebratory dinner to welco the newcors.

The 30 new recruits were overjoyed. They normally ate Interdiate Nutritional als, and even High Level Nutritional als weren’t sothing they could have for every al.

And eating at a place like this was an expense that couldn’t even be compared to the price of a High Level Nutritional al.

Even though this barbecue joint wasn’t particularly famous, the cost per person was at least 100 Points. They couldn’t help but sigh in admiration. ’As expected of a rich-as-dirt rcenary corps that earns 80,000 Points a day.’

In their previous rcenary corps, a dinner like this would have been unthinkable. They themselves wouldn’t have been willing to spend so much on a single al, either. With that kind of money, it was better to save up for Genetic dicine Liquid. After all, strength was everything.

Of course, their only regret was that they wouldn’t get to et the Divine Sharpshooter, Lin Xinghai.

Besides the good benefits, at least half the reason they were willing to join the Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps was because of Lin Xinghai.

"Everyone, welco to the big family that is our Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps! As long as you contribute to the corps with all your heart, there will be no shortage of Genetic dicine Liquid. Believe , by joining our rcenary corps, your strength will grow even faster than those in Third Level rcenary Corps."

"Of course, I’m sure many of you are thinking this is all just empty talk. So, I might as well let you in on a little secret. Our Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps has connections with both the Shelter’s upper managent and the military. Our quota for purchasing discounted Genetic dicine Liquid is even larger than that of a Third Level rcenary Corps," Fang Tianhe said with a smile.

An uproar instantly erupted from the crowd below. The newly recruited rcenaries’ faces showed surprise, astonishnt, and, above all, excitent.

A vial of Genetic dicine Liquid normally cost 300 Points. Although rcenary corps could purchase it at a discounted price of 100 Points, this discount was limited by a quota.

Unless the rcenary corps was small, the quota was never enough to go around.

These new rcenaries had suffered quite a bit in this regard before.

But to increase their strength faster, they could only grit their teeth and buy Genetic dicine Liquid at the full price.

Now that they knew the Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps had the connections to secure so many discounted slots, how could they not be ecstatic? Based on this point alone, they would never leave the Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps.

Just as Fang Tianhe was about to strike while the iron was hot and say a few more words, he suddenly felt his wrist-mounted computer vibrate. It was a ssage notification.

However, he didn’t plan on looking at it right away. He could check the ssage anyti, but a morale-boosting event like this required a certain atmosphere that couldn’t just be abruptly interrupted.

Yet, the wrist-mounted computer in his hand suddenly began vibrating like it was having a seizure, one buzz after another, as if it would never stop.

Obviously, soone was spamming him with ssages.

’Did sothing urgent happen?’ The thought appeared in Fang Tianhe’s mind, making his heart clench.

He soon discovered it wasn’t just him. Beside him, the wrist-mounted computers of Shen Han, Roger, Wu Yan, Xu Haishui, and the others were also either vibrating or chiming with notifications.

Now everyone understood that sothing had definitely happened. Fang Tianhe could no longer be bothered with boosting morale and imdiately opened his wrist-mounted computer to check.

He quickly realized it wasn’t one person sending him ssage after ssage, but many people contacting him at the sa ti. Looking at the 21 contacts that popped up in his ssage list—a number that was still growing—Fang Tianhe’s expression beca a bit dazed.

His daze lasted only a mont before he opened the first ssage. His expression turned interesting. Then he quickly opened the second and third ssages and found that they were all congratulating him.

He looked up at Roger and the others. They had also finished reading the ssages on their wrist-mounted computers. They all saw the surprise and joy in each other’s eyes.

"I knew Ah Xing’s Gun Technique was better than second place, but I never expected him to reach this level." Fang Tianhe sighed in amazent.

"He actually made it to the 7th stage. That kid is going to leave his mark on the history of Star Shield Shelter," Roger added with emotion.

The rcenaries below were all looking at them curiously.

There was no need to hide such good news, of course, so Fang Tianhe announced it directly.

Instantly, the crowd below erupted as if a pot had exploded. Everyone started chattering excitedly. Words like "Number one Divine Sharpshooter," "7th stage," and "unbeatable" filled the air. Everyone was thrilled, their faces beaming with shared glory.

The new recruits in particular felt that they could brag about what happened today to their old friends for an entire night.

At this mont, it wasn’t just them discussing Lin Xinghai. Almost every rcenary corps was buzzing about the matter.

If Lin Xinghai had rely taken first place on the shooting leaderboard, it might not have caused such a stir. The issue was that he had broken through to the 7th stage, while the rest, even the previous best, Tang Zhuofei, hadn’t even passed the 5th stage.

This was no small gap. Anyone who had challenged the shooting leaderboard knew that the later stages were exponentially harder. Even improving by 10% in a later stage was as difficult as clearing an entire earlier stage.

And now, everyone else finally understood how the Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps had managed to obtain 3,000 Elental Crystals in a single day.

Compared to the average person, the other top-ten Divine Sharpshooters on the leaderboard actually breathed a secret sigh of relief.

This was especially true for Tang Zhuofei of the Soaring Dragon rc. As the forr number one on the leaderboard, the pressure he’d been under was imnse.

The doubts, both from within his own rcenary corps and from outsiders, had left him feeling like he couldn’t breathe.

Soon, the original nine Divine Sharpshooters had a private discussion. To avoid being questioned any longer, they jointly issued a statent to the rcenary Guild: "Lin Xinghai, who has passed the 7th stage, possesses a level of Gun Technique that has far surpassed the overall standard of the Star Shield Shelter. He should be listed separately and not used for comparison."

As word of the matter spread, it was passed up the chain of command, step by step, eventually reaching the Great Elder himself.

Elder Wei sat in his office, looking at the docunt his secretary had just brought in. His expression was a mixture of relief, nostalgia, and wistfulness. Finally, he spoke softly, "Old Man Qin, I’m afraid your title of Gun God is about to be taken."

Then, he wrote a note on the docunt, approving the rcenary Guild’s application and personally bestowing the title: Gun God!

With the docunt’s official release, the rcenary Guild imdiately adjusted the shooting leaderboard. They listed Lin Xinghai separately, crowning him with the title of Gun God.

Furthermore, they added a note: if anyone else managed to break into the 7th stage in the future, they would be directly added to a "Gun God Leaderboard."
