Having successfully killed the "Blood Worm," a slight smile touched the corners of Lin Xinghai’s lips. ’I can finally breathe a sigh of relief,’ he thought.
The greatest threat to him was now gone. But as soon as this feeling of relief surfaced, he imdiately suppressed it. The great battle wasn’t over yet.
The mont the "Blood Worm" was killed, the cha’s arm, which had been trading blows with the "Giant Arm" at full force, imdiately pulled back. Using the recoil from the impact, it leaped backward, instantly creating distance.
SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!
While the cha was still airborne, the armor on its legs opened up. Lin Xinghai fired all of the dozens of Micro Missiles loaded inside in a single volley.
Half of these missiles targeted the Blood-colored Beetles, while the other half blasted toward the "Giant Arm’s" face.
The Blood-colored Beetles hadn’t scattered yet, making this the absolute best opportunity to annihilate them. A single Micro Missile could blast hundreds, even thousands, to death.
Otherwise, once these little critters dispersed, cleaning them up would probably be more troubleso than dealing with the Zombies.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
A dense series of explosions rang out one after another, and vast swaths of Blood-colored Beetles were blown to pieces.
Even the incredibly powerful "Giant Arm," facing this point-blank assault of Micro Missiles, had to take cover, using its arms to desperately shield its head.
Lin Xinghai took this opportunity to glance at the cha’s system panel.
The cha’s left arm was now completely twisted. It would probably need major repairs after this.
In addition, the power system had sustained massive damage from continuous overloading. Fortunately, the power system had been reinforced before, so it could still barely handle a few more fights.
After confirming the cha’s status, Lin Xinghai didn’t hesitate for a mont. He gripped Mjolnir tightly and charged toward the "Giant Arm."
He still had one last lightning attack left, which was enough to kill it.
At this mont, although the "Giant Arm" was still being bombarded by Micro Missiles, the sight of the Speed cha charging at it triggered an intense sense of crisis. It gave up on intercepting the last few Micro Missiles to free up its hands and block Lin Xinghai’s attack.
KABOOM! KABOOM! KABOOM!
The last few Micro Missiles detonated right on the "Giant Arm’s" face, leaving it a bloody ss. One of its eyes was nearly blinded.
But this only made the Giant Arm more furious. A vicious glint shot from its eyes. It had even resolved to drag this foe down with it, even if it ant dying.
However, with no other Mutated Zombies to run interference, the "Giant Arm" was nothing more than a clumsy and slow brown bear in front of Lin Xinghai.
The Speed cha constantly changed direction, looking for an opportunity for a one-hit kill. The "Giant Arm" could only struggle to keep up, but its Speed was simply no match for Lin Xinghai’s.
After just a few changes in direction, Lin Xinghai seized his chance. Mjolnir shot forward, and its Thunder Power erupted.
SQUELCH!
The next instant, the long spear pierced through the "Giant Arm’s" skull. With that, the last Mutated Zombie collapsed with a deafening crash.
This all takes so ti to describe, but in reality, the entire battle—from Lin Xinghai’s surprise attack to its conclusion—lasted a re ten seconds at most.
The people rushing over from a distance, even soone like Fang Tianhe who knew Lin Xinghai inside and out, felt a profound shock.
As for those from the Military Departnt seeing Lin Xinghai in action for the first ti, they were completely stunned, as if they were witnessing a hallucination.
’How did four Mutated Zombies just disappear in the blink of an eye?’
These were terrifying beings that could withstand a bombardnt of over sixty Grenade Cannons and still retreat with ease!
Many of the quick-thinking people on the military’s side imdiately opened the recent battle recording and pulled up the footage of Lin Xinghai’s fight to watch.
Although the combat footage was only ten seconds long, the more they watched, the more horrified they beca.
Many of them even had to use slow-motion playback just to see how the "Spitter" and the "Hunter" were killed.
But after seeing it clearly, they were even more appalled.
The mont when Lin Xinghai kicked the "Hunter" to death, in particular, nearly shattered their worldview.
They knew that when Outpost 23 sent them a distress call, they had described the imnse damage this "Hunter" had caused.
It was a terrifying creature that could weave through a hail of bullets with ease, and had even forcibly broken through their defensive line to kill several people.
If not for the threat of a superweapon like the Purgatory Bomb, Outpost 32 would have been breached long ago.
And yet, this very sa Mutated Zombie that had given everyone such a massive headache was killed by Lin Xinghai with a single kick.
And it was just a casual kick thrown out while he was on his way.
What did this an?
It ant that this "Hunter," which they had treated as a formidable enemy, wasn’t even worth a second glance from Lin Xinghai!
At this mont, everyone’s emotions were a complicated, indescribable ss. It was so complex that many of them were simply left in a daze.
But Lin Xinghai was in a frantic hurry. He drove the cha over to the assault squad and shouted, "Shen Han, the cha’s right leg and left arm! Quick, use Ice Seal on them! There are five Blood-colored Beetles in total."
That’s right, more Blood-colored Beetles had burrowed in this ti than ever before. This was especially true for the cha’s left arm, where so of the twisted and deford armor plates made it easier for them to get inside.
And that was with Lin Xinghai maintaining high speed throughout the fight with almost no pauses. Otherwise, the Speed cha would probably be riddled with holes by now.
Shen Han, for his part, had already experienced plenty of shocking events. He quickly snapped out of it and imdiately used his Superpower to apply a localized Ice Seal to the cha.
After the others ca to their senses, they also gathered around to stand guard.
The two support squads from a short distance away also moved closer. At this point, Qin Fang and Old Zhou were overco with emotion.
They both recalled Lin Xinghai’s arrangents before the battle and finally understood why he had only needed them to attack from a distance and make a big scene.
It turned out he was capable of killing all four Mutated Zombies by himself.
They were just here to play a minor role and attract so of the enemy’s attention.
"I heard soone in the rcenary Corps was calling himself ’Gun God,’ and I was pretty unconvinced," Old Zhou said with a sigh. "But after this battle, I think Lin Xinghai could change his title to ’War God’ and no one would object. It’s a pity such a powerful expert didn’t join our Military Departnt."
"Hah! You think he cares? I heard that in another month, he’s heading to East Sea Academy to take the entrance exam. If he actually gets in, his military rank will be higher than ours right after graduation," Qin Fang couldn’t help but scoff.
"That’s happening?" Old Zhou was surprised, but he wasn’t angry. Instead, he agreed, "You’re right. For a genius like him to stay with us would indeed be a waste of his talent."
Hearing this, Qin Fang also grew wistful. "Maybe in a few years, when we go to the military district for an exchange, we’ll be able to brag that a certain powerhouse ca from our Star Shield Shelter."
Just as the two were lost in their thoughts and aspirations, Yang Jiansheng’s voice suddenly crackled over the long-range comms. "What’s the situation now? The smoke and dust from the shelling is too thick, our observation is blocked. The Zombie Detector seems to be malfunctioning too; we can’t detect any signals from the Mutated Zombies."
"Our situation here is fine. If you need support over there, we should be able to spare about ten chas."
Hearing the slightly urgent voice, Qin Fang fell silent for a mont. Then, without a word, he clipped the ten-second battle recording and sent it over.
