After Lin Xinghai finished his instructions, the three wasted no ti and headed to their respective cubicles.
The Cultivation Room contained three separate cubicles, specially designed to prevent them from interfering with one another during their breakthroughs.
Inside each cubicle were two items. One was, of course, a High Level Breakthrough Potion.
This High Level Breakthrough Potion was quite expensive, costing 10,000 Points per bottle, but the two major rcenary Corps were no longer strapped for cash and had bought a batch from the Military Departnt.
Even ordinary mbers could directly exchange Points for one.
This benefit alone was enough to make many other rcenary Corps burn with envy. After all, not every corps could establish a connection with the Military Departnt, and these High Level Breakthrough Potions weren’t sothing you could buy just by having Points.
Besides the High Level Breakthrough Potion, there was also a bottle of High Level Gene dicine Liquid.
The High Level Gene dicine Liquid had not yet entered mass production, so even the two major rcenary Corps were unable to purchase it. Thus, all three bottles had been provided by Lin Xinghai.
Of the three, Gao Mountain’s emotions were the most complex. His Genetic Assessnt was only C Level, and his awakened Earth Superpower hadn’t reached the Rare Level.
rcenaries like him were a di a dozen in the rcenary Guild.
In terms of potential, many captains from Third Level rcenary Corps were no weaker than him.
He had only gotten this far entirely because of Lin Xinghai’s support. Otherwise, anyone else—as long as their aptitude wasn’t terrible—could have achieved what he had.
So, Gao Mountain knew that reaching this point wasn’t enough. Only by truly taking that final step and breaking through to beco a powerhouse in the Blood Qi Realm could he repay Lin Xinghai for his nurturing.
But at the sa ti, his aptitude was only average. Normally, his chances of breaking the fourth Genetic Lock were one in three at best.
One only had to look at the many Third Level rcenary Corps Leaders who were still just the Optimized to see the truth of it.
It wasn’t because they hadn’t t the requirents for a breakthrough, but because they had failed.
However, his confidence surged as he looked at the two bottles of dicine on the desk.
Other Third Level rcenary Corps Leaders didn’t have it this good when they attempted their breakthroughs.
They might be able to scrounge up a bottle of High Level Breakthrough Potion through their own connections, but getting their hands on a High Level Gene dicine Liquid was practically impossible.
Of course, the main function of the High Level Gene dicine Liquid was to help increase a person’s Genetic Optimization Level. Its effect on the breakthrough’s success rate wasn’t significant—at best, it offered about a 5% boost.
’The boost isn’t huge, but every little bit helps,’ he thought. ’Maybe my success or failure will hinge on that 5%!’
Gao Mountain hesitated no longer. He grabbed the two bottles of dicine from the desk and downed their contents.
The next instant, he felt the imnse Energy released by the High Level Breakthrough Potion.
Without a mont’s hesitation, he sat cross-legged and began to manipulate the energy in his body, coordinating it with the Energy released from the High Level Breakthrough Potion to assault the fourth Genetic Lock.
He wasn’t the only one. Liu Miaomiao and Shen Han were doing the exact sa thing.
Soon, all three entered a breakthrough state.
Lin Xinghai sat on the sofa in the Cultivation Room, but he was not idle. He unleashed his Perception Power, keeping a constant watch over the three.
Through his Perception, he could feel their auras steadily climbing—clearly a good sign.
Ti trickled by. Of the three, Liu Miaomiao’s aura was rising the fastest, without a doubt.
Around the 20-minute mark, Liu Miaomiao’s body gave an imperceptible tremble, and her aura flared.
Lin Xinghai knew she had successfully broken the third Genetic Lock.
Lin Xinghai’s expression remained unchanged. For soone with an A-Level Genetic Assessnt, breaking the third Genetic Lock was no challenge at all.
Even for the fourth Genetic Lock, the success rate was 100% as long as they used a High Level Breakthrough dicine Liquid.
This was the most formidable aspect of an A-Level Genetic Assessor—they were destined to beco an expert in the Blood Qi Realm.
Of course, the breakthrough was rely the foundation. What concerned Lin Xinghai most was whether Liu Miaomiao could use this opportunity to trigger a second awakening for her Life Control Superpower.
On this matter, however, there was nothing he could do to help. The only thing he could do was wait patiently.
For now, his attention was focused more on Shen Han and Gao Mountain.
Their auras were still rising slowly, which was clearly a good sign. It ant they were gradually chipping away at the Genetic Locks sealing their bodies.
As ti passed, Lin Xinghai could perceive that Shen Han’s aura was rising noticeably faster than Gao Mountain’s.
This was to be expected, however. After all, Shen Han had a B-Level Genetic Assessnt, a tier higher than Gao Mountain, so her breakthrough would naturally be easier.
Furthermore, Shen Han had reached her physical limit earlier than Gao Mountain and had spent more ti tempering her body. It was only natural that her breakthrough would be smoother.
Another 20 minutes passed in the blink of an eye.
Suddenly, Shen Han’s aura fluctuated sharply. A mont later, Lin Xinghai sensed the presence of Blood Qi Power emanating from her.
"She broke through!" A smile spread across Lin Xinghai’s face.
From this mont on, the Heaven-Sundering rcenary Corps had two Blood Qi Realm experts. Their position as the First rcenary Corps was now completely secure, even without him.
Five minutes later, Shen Han’s aura receded. She pushed open her cubicle door and stepped out.
She glanced at the closed doors on either side, a look of slight surprise on her face. She wasn’t surprised that Gao Mountain’s door was still shut, but Liu Miaomiao’s being closed was unusual.
"Miaomiao, she..." Shen Han hesitated, not knowing what to say.
"Miaomiao has already broken through. Her not coming out yet might actually be a good thing," Lin Xinghai said with a smile, knowing what she was thinking.
"A second awakening of her Superpower?" Shen Han asked.
"Possibly," Lin Xinghai replied, not entirely sure himself.
After all, his own second and third Superpower awakenings were both achieved with the system’s help, so his experience wasn’t a valid reference.
Shen Han didn’t press the matter. She just found a seat nearby and began to wait quietly.
The seconds ticked by, and another five minutes passed in a flash. Lin Xinghai, who had been sitting quietly, suddenly shot to his feet.
"What’s wrong?" Shen Han asked, startled.
"Gao Mountain’s aura has stopped climbing," Lin Xinghai murmured, as if talking to himself, yet also offering an explanation.
A look of worry instantly filled Shen Han’s eyes, but she held her tongue. Speaking would only distract Lin Xinghai and offer no real help.
Lin Xinghai hesitated, debating whether to intervene. Gao Mountain’s aura had only stopped climbing; perhaps he was just temporarily stuck and could still break through on his own.
But a re ten-odd seconds later, Lin Xinghai’s expression shifted again. ’His aura is starting to weaken. I have no choice but to try that thod.’
He hesitated no longer. He strode to Gao Mountain’s cubicle, pushed the door open, and went inside. He had to intervene.
