After breaking away from the team and running ahead for a short distance, Lin Xinghai encountered the next wave of zombies.
There were 23 zombies in this wave, a relatively small horde.
As Lin Xinghai drew near, a zombie quickly spotted him. It let out an excited shriek and charged wildly toward him.
Its shriek alerted the entire horde, and all 23 zombies charged toward Lin Xinghai in unison.

The 23 zombies fell one by one, their skulls either sliced open or pierced through. Blood and brain matter spilled onto the ground. They were deader than dead.
The entire process was over in just ten seconds.
Ling Xiu, who was hurrying over, had seen everything clearly with his Superpower. It was precisely because he had witnessed this scene that he wore such a shocked expression.
It wasn’t just Ling Xiu; even Lin Xinghai was startled by his own speed.

However, as exhilarating as the feeling was, Lin Xinghai also realized a problem: his own fundantal power was still too low.

He had been worried that the Vibrating Dagger wouldn’t kill it in one strike, so he had settled for the next best thing: the neck.
And as it turned out, Lin Xinghai’s choice had been correct. When Ling Xiu thrust his Vibrating Dagger at the zombie’s skull, it did indeed get stuck for a mont.
However, once its high-frequency oscillation mode was active, the Vibrating Dagger was far more destructive than a chainsaw or an ultrasonic scalpel. The High Level Zombie’s skull could only resist for a mont before the blade pierced through, killing it instantly.
"Alright, stop staring. Hurry and collect the Elental Crystals! Other zombies will be drawn here soon," Lin Xinghai said when he saw Huang Nuo and the others still in a daze.
The scent of blood would attract nearby zombies, so leaving the scene quickly was of the utmost importance.
By the ti they ca back this way, if nothing unexpected happened, the corpses here would have been completely devoured by other zombies.
Hearing Lin Xinghai’s words, the others snapped to attention and quickly got to work, their awe of him growing even deeper.
At the sa ti, however, they also felt a growing sense of security. In a place this dangerous, the stronger Lin Xinghai was, the better it was for them.
After quickly collecting the Elental Crystals, the group continued on their way.
What followed was continuous battle—or rather, a one-sided slaughter.
Lin Xinghai shot down the zombies while Ling Xiu and the others collected the Elental Crystals. The team’s pace grew faster and faster, as with so much practice, Ling Xiu’s group was also becoming more efficient at harvesting the crystals.
Another half an hour passed, and they finally reached the winery.
Notably, they encountered more zombies in the final five kiloters than in the previous ten, killing over 500 of them.
Fortunately, they had made sure to buy extra ammunition before setting out; otherwise, they wouldn’t have dared to venture this deep.

A few gunshots echoed from inside, followed by the sounds of rummaging.

The seconds ticked by, but Ling Xiu’s group was still nowhere to be seen, and Lin Xinghai began to frown.
Finally, after two minutes, Ling Xiu erged from the winery, but his expression was grim.
"I’ve turned the whole place upside down, but I couldn’t find a single bottle of wine."
