Yusuf Zuck was feeling quite reluctant because he really didn’t want to go. He wasn’t interested in so overly romantic tale with the beautiful Kenji May. Perhaps others would fight for the chance, but he had no such thoughts!
Beautiful won don’t fill your stomach, and her origins are mysterious. Besides, it’d be hard to explain things to Aubree Gould.
However, the Head of General Affairs had given him the Luo Shen Ruler, which was clearly yet another gesture of favor towards him, so he had no choice and must go.
This ti, he skirted around Aubree Gould’s residence and approached from another direction. When he entered the courtyard, Kenji May was still there, though she seed to be in a daze.
"Ahem!" Yusuf coughed lightly, then bowed, saying, "Greetings, ntor!"
Kenji May nodded with a smile, "You’re here, pick a room then."
This residence had no guards, just a main entrance, so if Yusuf wanted to stay, he’d have to choose a room inside.
"Did you know?" Yusuf was surprised; Kenji May had actually known he was coming?
"I was just notified, before you entered the courtyard!" Kenji May smiled.
"Oh!" Yusuf nodded, not thinking much about it, and scratched his head, "I won’t sleep in a room; I can stay in the pavilion and ditate at night."
"Oh!" Kenji May nodded and didn’t persuade further. Instead, she thought for a mont and asked, "How do you usually eat here?"
"You can go to the canteen, or you can cook in the kitchen. If you cook, whatever rice or vegetables you need, I’ll get them from the General Affairs Departnt for you!"
"Let’s cook ourselves then. I’ll eat whatever you usually eat!"
"Oh, how long will you be teaching here, ntor?" Yusuf asked in a low voice.
"I don’t know," Kenji May shook her head, "It depends on the academy’s arrangents. I’m not sure yet."
"Also, your Cultivation Level seems quite low."
"I’ve just joined the academy for a short while."
"Mm, sit down and talk, no need to be so formal in the future," Kenji May said with a smile.
"Thank you, ntor!" Yusuf indeed sat down but imdiately slled a faint fragrance on Kenji May, reminiscent of ancient dragon perfu, which was especially pleasant.
And because he was sitting so close, Yusuf noticed Kenji May’s delicate skin, the fine transparent fluff under her ears, her jade-like hands, and her neck — utterly enticing!
Yusuf only glimpsed briefly, then his heart pounded like it was electrified. He dared not look again!
This woman was outrageously stunning, a true siren among sirens!
"Where’s your hotown?" Kenji May seed not to notice his awkwardness and asked with a smile, "What do your parents do, and how long have you been at the academy?"
Yusuf answered each question but looked elsewhere, not daring to look at her face. Every inch of this woman’s body felt like a sin waiting to happen. Seeing her, not feeling wicked seed abnormal for a man!
"And you, ntor? I don’t even know where you’re from!" After chatting a while, Yusuf began to ask questions.
"?" Kenji May smiled, "I’m from Bright Moon Pavilion!"
"Bright Moon Pavilion?" Yusuf was taken aback. He hadn’t heard of such a place!
"Haven’t heard of it?" Kenji May laughed, "The Bright Moon Pavilion is a faction in our kingdom, a group established by won. I’m just an ordinary disciple there!"
"Oh oh." Yusuf nodded, pretending to understand.
"By the way, this courtyard is set with a Formation by the academy. Outsiders can’t enter, and it’s impossible to eavesdrop using Divine Consciousness. Even your General Affairs Head couldn’t force her way in. Here is the Jade Simple for entry and exit, keep it safe!" Kenji May smiled and handed over a Jade Simple.
Yusuf reached out and accepted it, brushing against her hand, surprised to find her hand was cold, truly cold.
Yusuf dared not ask why her hand was so cold; after all, won’s hands usually were.
"I’m going to get the rice and grain. It’s almost noon, ti to cook!" Yusuf got up and left with big strides.
After a while, he brought bags of tribute rice, so rare vegetables; since he was also eating, he deliberately chose the best.
"Need my help?" Kenji May asked as she stood at the kitchen doorway, seeing Yusuf busy inside.
"Can you start a fire? Help with that, cough cough, this stove’s bad, it’s smoking..." Yusuf coughed while adding wood.
"I’ll do it." Kenji May said and proactively joined in, not minding the dirt, sitting on a small stool and began to light the fire, then cooked.
After busying themselves for over half an hour, with two dishes and a bowl of rice ready, Yusuf served Kenji May a bowl, and the two sat down to eat!
"This is the first ti I’m eating my own cooking, I didn’t expect it to be this delicious!" Kenji May shook her head and smiled as she ate, seemingly unbelievable!
Yusuf replied while eating, "What else does a woman do if not cook?" But he regretted it right after, because this woman seed not to engage in worldly matters, if she were truly dealing with the trivial every day, she might lose her current aura.
"Yeah, won should wash and cook, I’ll rember that." Kenji May smiled and said.
Yusuf grinned and continued eating.
After feeling full, he didn’t move because truthfully, a man like him hated clearing the table and washing dishes.
"Why aren’t you cleaning up?" Kenji May suddenly asked.
"ntor, how about we make a deal?" Yusuf noticed that after interacting with Kenji May, even though she carried an elegant aura and was beautiful, she seed quite naive about certain principles and matters, which sparked so mischievous thoughts in his mind!
"What kind of deal?" Kenji May played along.
"How about I cook and you wash the dishes in the future?"
"Sure, show how to do it once..."
Yusuf was speechless... She was truly a lady of high status, didn’t even know how to wash dishes. What could she actually do?
Patiently, he taught Kenji May once, and after watching him, she even dirtied the clean dishes again and began to wash them anew!
"Pretty diligent!" Yusuf smacked his lips, then looked at the east wall, pondering whether to sneak out to find Camila Sparrow tonight and bring justice to Aubree Gould on the spot.
He took Kenji May’s seat, humd a tune, sipped tea, and planned his next step.
A mont later, Kenji May erged from the kitchen, smiling, "I’ve never done such things before; it’s actually quite tiring."
"Yes, it’s quite exhausting, but I think labor is beautiful and honorable!"
"Hmm, seems reasonable. What are you planning for the afternoon?" Kenji May asked.
"I have nothing in the afternoon, waiting for your orders!" Yusuf said carelessly.
"Then accompany for a stroll around the academy; I’m not familiar with the roads here yet."
"Sure, let’s just go now, treat it as a walk!" Yusuf agreed readily.
"Okay." Kenji May said, and they both stood up and headed out together.
Just as the two reached outside, they happened to encounter Aubree Gould with Lucille Greer also coming out of the courtyard. The two doors were right next to each other, so the four of them imdiately saw each other!
Aubree Gould’s eyes shot up, her eyebrows forming an ’八’ shape, as if she were about to erupt with anger.
Kenji May, however, remained faintly smiling, with her lips curled up!
