Capítulo 2037: Chapter 2056: Sothing Went Wrong
The night ca, and the undead monster and Yosef Dale, now in black attire, held hands as they arrived at the Salvation Comrce Association. They hid in a dark corner, watching the lit room on the fourth floor.
“There must be experts there,” Yosef Dale smacked his lips and said.
“No kidding, do you even need to say that?”
“What I an is, what if we can’t fight them, or get surrounded or captured?” Yosef Dale whispered.
“Hmph, except for those monsters over two epochs, no one at one epoch is a match for us. I don’t believe there are anyone over two epochs here.”
“That makes sense, monsters over two epochs wouldn’t be running a shop here,” Yosef Dale nodded in agreent.
“Not necessarily,” the undead monster refuted again. “Don’t forget, joining them requires contributing ntal power, so the president of this comrce association is definitely a big shot.”
“What’s a ‘big shot’?”
“It ans a boss or a leader.”
“Oh, got it,” Yosef Dale nodded in understanding.
“Let’s go, let’s explore this dragon’s lair and tiger’s den.” The undead monster, having gained great power, had a cultivation level now unfathomable, so she was surprisingly bold.
However, at this mont, Yosef Dale suddenly grabbed her hand and started feeling around.
“What are you doing? At a ti like this, how can you be in the mood?” The undead monster was furious. She was indeed quite flirtatious, but Yosef Dale was even more wicked a hundred tis over.
This guy was a scoundrel, a villain.
“Don’t worry, listen to ,” Yosef Dale said, touching her little face and pinching her chin. “Tonight, my right eyelid keeps twitching. I feel sothing big is going to happen. And just a few days ago, I saw soone who would bring bad luck, but nothing bad has happened yet, so I reckon tonight we might hit a snag.”
“Don’t talk nonsense,” the undead monster glared at him.
“Listen to ,” Yosef Dale continued, his hand sneaking into the neckline of the undead monster and gently kneading.
The undead monster glared at him, but did not stop him.
“I’ll go first in a bit, just to scout. It doesn’t require both of us. If nothing unexpected happens, I’ll co back. If sothing unexpected happens, I’ll fight them. When fighting, the opponent will definitely show themselves. You observe from the shadows. If their cultivation level isn’t much, and you feel we can take them down together, then you charge out.”
“But if you find out the opponent is a big shot, then you run, definitely don’t show yourself, and don’t worry about , understand?”
“Uh…” The undead monster was astonished, staring blankly at Yosef Dale. She had known him for several months, and in those months, she hadn’t heard him say a serious word, nor had he done a serious deed.
But now, she suddenly realized that Yosef Dale was serious. He cared about her safety, cared about her life.
And he didn’t want her to be in danger.
The undead monster suddenly felt moved. Before, the mingling between the two was just a ga, she didn’t feel Yosef Dale was serious, didn’t feel he had genuine feelings. So she kept teasing him, playing gas, but leaving him hanging, making him eager.
After all, she couldn’t give her most precious self to a scoundrel.
But now, even though Yosef Dale’s actions were still filled with touches and pinches, he was genuinely concerned for her.
“Fool, how could I let you risk yourself alone? I won’t run off alone either. You go, co back safely, and we’ll play gas, like lovey-dovey ducks. If you don’t co back safely, I’ll accompany you to the underworld.”
“Why don’t you listen? Don’t argue. I have the skills to flee, so don’t co out no matter what. Your brother Yosef is going.” With that, Yosef Dale tapped his toes and leaped onto the Salvation Comrce Association’s rooftop.
The undead monster took a deep breath. It felt nice to be cared for, especially by this madman Yosef Dale. It was rare for him to show genuine emotions, so she suddenly realized that this person wasn’t bad at all.
She sought soone she could entrust her life to, soone who could love and care for her forever.
And now, Yosef Dale passed the test, though just barely. He hadn’t yet made her fall hopelessly in love with him.
Yosef Dale, like a nimble ape, jumped onto the roof, gently slapped his palm, and a large patch of tiles turned to a breeze and blew away, revealing a big hole. He then jumped inside.
The undead monster could no longer see him, and her divine consciousness couldn’t detect anything either, because the comrce association had powerful prohibition formation thods that blocked all divine consciousness.
She was very nervous, anxiously waiting for Yosef Dale to co out.
However, a minute passed, and there was no sign of Yosef Dale. Two minutes passed, and still no sign.
Three minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes, two hours…
Sweat appeared on the undead monster’s forehead. Logically, even if there were strong people inside, with Yosef Dale’s abilities, there should be a commotion, right? Shouldn’t there be fierce fighting?
But there was no movent inside, no signs of fighting, no shadows.
The undead monster kept taking deep breaths, silently praying that Yosef Dale was hiding inside, the enemy hadn’t discovered him yet, so he was hiding and listening for movents inside.
She consoled herself…
But as ti ticked by, dawn approached, yet Yosef Dale still hadn’t co out, and there was still no movent or sounds of fighting inside…
When daylight broke, the undead monster hadn’t received any news, and she felt dizzy, as if struggling to breathe.
Sothing happened, sothing must have happened. Her whole body trembled uncontrollably, because if nothing had happened, Yosef Dale should have co out by now. But now, he hadn’t co out, no fighting, and it was daylight, so it ant sothing serious had happened.
There might be an incredibly powerful adversary inside, and Yosef Dale had no power to resist and was subdued in a single move.
“Yes, yes, that’s it,” the undead monster’s eyes reddened, her heart in chaos, because she had no idea what to do.
The shop opened its doors, the panels went down, and many staff and servants began coming and going, with many custors entering as well.
Today, there were especially many visitors because it was auction day.
Carriages, harnesses, dragon snake harnesses, flying bird harnesses, and so on, arrived one after another outside the shop, as people dressed in luxurious clothing and laden with wealth entered with their servants.
“Transform.” This undead monster, although eccentric, had a virtue of loyalty. Though now in a daughter’s body, she used to be a man!
And yesterday, Yosef Dale had truly moved her, so she transford back to her original form, a beautifully fairy-like, delicate white-skinned maiden.
She was equally noble and incomparable. In Transient City, who didn’t know her? Who didn’t know she was the King-in-Arms? Who didn’t know she was the imp?
And today, this imp would openly charge into this dragon’s lair and tiger’s den.
She would attend the auction in the identity of the King-in-Arms, Miguel Crane, and see if the Salvation Comrce Association dared to touch her, the King-in-Arms of the Longevity Empire!
