On this occasion, upon arriving at Yitian City, the two obediently joined the long queue. Of course, they continued communicating with each other using Divine Consciousness.
"You ntioned using a Causal Creation Pill to trade for the servant, can you now elaborate on the specific plan?" Yusuf Zuck asked.
"Mmm," Ayden Ac nodded, "In Yitian City, there are two pawn auction houses, one belongs to the Richmond Family, and the other is run by Palr Gate. Have you heard of Palr Gate?"
"Never heard of it," Yusuf Zuck replied, shaking his head imdiately.
"Uh...," Ayden Ac paused but then relaxed, realizing that since Yusuf wasn’t from Patrick Ruiz’s territory, it was normal for him not to know about Palr Gate.
"Palr Gate is a super sect on par with the Ten Great Clans. It’s also the most mysterious and powerful sect in Patrick Ruiz because few know who its leaders are, though the Ten Great Clans are very wary of it."
"It’s called Palr Gate because they know everything, and their disciples, wherever they operate, use the Wind Travel Technique. They co and go like the wind, act like the wind, and their cultivation levels might not be top-notch, but their escape skills are the strongest. Due to Palr Gate’s mysteriousness and peculiar way of operation, few dare to oppose them!"
"Palr Gate has pawn auction houses in the Twelve Great Cities of Patrick Ruiz, offering all sorts of Spirit Stones, Spiritual dicines, Spirit Weapons, Ancient Pill Recipe Scrolls, and Cultivation Secret thods. If you can imagine it, Palr Gate can sell it."
"So, you an we hand over the Elixir to Palr Gate and let them negotiate with the Richmond Family?"
"Precisely. Palr Gate is the most trustworthy and wouldn’t betray the trust. That’s the foundation of their standing."
"But isn’t that too much of a risk? I an, we’re talking about an upper-quality Causal Creation Pill. If I take it there, won’t the upper echelons of Palr Gate get greedy? Can you guarantee they won’t?" Yusuf Zuck asked with a cold smile.
"No need to give them the Elixir directly. Just let them evaluate it, and promise them one after the deal is done. Anyway, we’re not short of Causal Creation Pills, are we? I can sponsor one!"
"Will there be no danger?" Yusuf Zuck asked again.
"There’s always risk in this world. But it’s worth a try. If you’re too afraid of risk, then forget about rescuing the servant."
"Ha, I’m just worried about ending up empty-handed, nothing else!"
"If you’re that worried, just pretend I didn’t say anything. Think of your own way. I’ve got no other solutions."
"Ha, okay, let’s try it out first. I need to see how Palr Gate reacts before making a decision!" Yusuf Zuck nodded with a smile. Ayden Ac was right—risk is a constant, and it all depends on whether he dares to take the plunge!
"Then let’s disguise ourselves again." The two joined the queue into the city, found an inn, and took so Elixir to conceal their auras. Ayden Ac transford himself into an old man with a white beard, while Yusuf Zuck changed into a man in his forties. By evening, they left and quickly headed to the Palr Gate pawn shop.
The Palr Gate pawn shop was essentially a large marketplace. Once they stepped inside, it felt like entering a small world of its own, with separate streets lined with various shops on both sides. Inside, they even sold slaves and demonic beasts—you’d find whatever you wanted. There were even restaurants and inns within.
Yitian City’s rule about no roaming at night didn’t apply to this small world within Palr Gate’s pawn shop. One could drink until dawn in the restaurants or even sleep on the streets, and no one cared. They even offered triple services!
This was truly a big business, a grand venture.
Shortly after the two of them had entered, many people hastily rushed inside, their faces filled with excitent.
"Fellow Daoist, what’s going on inside?" Ayden Ac stopped one of them to ask.
"A Double-headed Fiery King Kong has arrived in the Spirit Beast Park inside, at the Eternal Life Eighth Level," the person replied.
"What? A Double-headed Fiery King Kong?" Upon hearing this, Ayden Ac’s eyes widened, while the person clasped his fists and hurriedly ran off.
"What exactly is a Double-headed Fiery King Kong?" Yusuf Zuck asked curiously.
Ayden Ac sighed bitterly, "In Patrick Ruiz, there’s a type of demonic beast called the Fiery King Kong. It resembles humans, apes, and gorillas, and is prone to anger, erupting into flas when enraged, hence the na Fiery King Kong."
"The Fiery King Kong’s body is incorruptible and indestructible, impervious to water and fire. Even in death, its body remains unchanged for millennia. They possess imnse strength and their Golden Protector Eyes can emit flas and a soul-captivating eerie light. Most notably, their speed ranks second among all demonic beasts, only slightly behind the Golden-winged Roc!"
"A Fiery King Kong at the Eternal Life Eighth Level is already rare, and now it’s a double-headed one, which ans four eyes! That’s why people are so crazy about it!"
"Is it for sale?" Yusuf Zuck’s eyes lit up suddenly.
"It is, but no one would buy it, not even the Ten Great Clans," Ayden Ac shook his head.
"Why not? Eternal Life Eighth Level—quite powerful, right? Is it because it’s too expensive?"
"Not because of the price, but because this creature cannot acknowledge a master!"
"What does ’cannot acknowledge a master’ an?" Yusuf Zuck asked, puzzled.
"Do you know why it’s called the Fiery King Kong?" Ayden Ac explained. "It’s because of their explosive temper. Countless experts and clans have experinted, but these fierce beasts self-immolate and explode the mont you try to forcibly claim them as your master. To this day, no one has succeeded."
"People have tried every thod imaginable—to control it, to confuse its soul, and so on—but no one has ever succeeded. This creature is unyielding, preferring death over submission to humans. That’s the Fiery King Kong."
"Then why did they capture it?"
"I have no idea. It’s been years since anyone tried selling one. It serves no purpose, and capturing a double-headed one at the Eternal Life Eighth Level is extrely difficult." Ayden Ac shook his head, appearing baffled!
"Co on, let’s take a look!" Yusuf Zuck strode forward decisively.
"Look at what? Aren’t you going to visit the pawn shop? We need to focus on business; seeing that thing is a waste of ti."
"Let’s take a look first. There’s no rush with the pawn shop." Yusuf Zuck said, making his way toward the crowd ahead.
Ayden Ac squinted his eyes slightly, contemplating Yusuf Zuck’s figure for a mont. Yet, he said nothing, instead following along.
Monts later, the two reached the outer edge of the crowd, imdiately spotting a massive cage. The cage had layer upon layer of barriers, the innermost layer being a Sword Qi-ford sword net, followed by nets of iron, thorns, lightning, wind, and fire, tightly enclosing the Fiery King Kong.
The Fiery King Kong stood about a hundred feet tall, motionless inside the cage, with chains binding it, and no fewer than a hundred large spikes driven into its head.
It was double-headed, with two heads sharing one neck, its savage flas burning relentlessly across its body. Though unable to move, it glared ferociously at the onlookers.
Seeing the Fiery King Kong, Yusuf Zuck’s heart stirred as he wondered if he could ta it with his Dew of Creation by purchasing it.
