244: Chapter 244: Wine, Won, Wealth, Nehemiah Blevins 244: Chapter 244: Wine, Won, Wealth, Nehemiah Blevins Due to the hurried departure, no one had brought a change of clothes, and since the contract had not been officially signed, they had no choice but to postpone their return by a few days.
Of course, Sara Zuck and her classmates, as well as Samuel Ross and others, would return today, as they still had classes to attend.
“What did you do with Everest Zuck last ti you went to Hong Kong?” Once inside the room, Yusuf Zuck imdiately asked, and Faye Webb was a woman who followed orders to the letter.
Whatever Everest Zuck wanted her to do, she did, so this ti she listened to Yusuf Zuck throughout.
“There was a patient who needed my master’s diagnosis and treatnt!” Faye Webb replied indifferently.
“Was it an old man who couldn’t wake up?” Yusuf Zuck continued to inquire.
“Mhm, what about it?” Faye Webb asked, curious.
Yusuf Zuck took a deep breath, “It has co to , they asked to treat him.”
“Oh, initially, my master thought the patient was hexed, but several charms did nothing, then he tried to help with Inner Strength, but that failed too.
The patient is strange; there’s nothing wrong with him, just that he doesn’t wake up.
There’s no possession, no soul lost, everything else is normal.”
“What’s the patient’s family situation like?
I heard their last na is Petty?
Very wealthy?”
“Indeed very wealthy, the Petty family of Hong Kong, red capitalists, with relations to so old-tirs from the mainland…
This person is the youngest brother of soone from the mainland.”
“Got it, got it.” Though Faye Webb didn’t specify who, Yusuf Zuck understood; it had to be soone like a reputable rchant, influential and rich.
“If you go there, rember, don’t treat recklessly.
Even if you can’t cure him, absolutely do not experint.
If the person dies under your care, then you’re in big trouble,” Faye Webb warned with good intentions.
“Mhm, understood.
Are you free tonight?” Yusuf Zuck suddenly changed the subject.
“Uhh…
Yes,” Faye Webb was montarily taken aback before responding.
“I’ve morized the incantation you taught , backwards and forwards.
If you’re free tonight, help translate it; I really don’t understand the classical Chinese.”
“Oh, that works.
Co to my room tonight,” Faye Webb said generously.
“Okay.” Yusuf Zuck nodded and then walked out.
Faye Webb gave off the impression of a very liberated woman at first glance, tall, busty, in professional makeup, and always smiling.
But the longer Yusuf Zuck interacted with her, the more he realized she was extrely conservative.
Despite her open appearance, that was just a facade.
She never joked, seldom spoke, and was the type who would never ask or say more than necessary.
If you attempted verbal flirtation, it would likely provoke her anger.
Therefore, whenever Yusuf Zuck interacted with her, he did so with utmost seriousness—no jokes and no pointless chatter.
Additionally, Yusuf Zuck noticed that she was very cautious around all n except for Samuel Ross and Jero Hart.
With anyone else, she had a keep-your-distance attitude.
If Samuel Ross and others tried to speak to her, she acted as if she didn’t hear, continuing her work without giving them any attention.
A woman with a strong character, cool and reserved, exceedingly conservative, and not one for conversation with n.
Only Yusuf Zuck could communicate with her normally, and of course, that was all thanks to Everest Zuck’s instructions.
Without them, Yusuf Zuck would probably be outright ignored by her.
After breakfast at the vacation resort, Samuel Ross got into the Bentley, which excited him greatly.
He drove Sara Zuck, Sarah Cooke, Karim Dickson, and nurse Paisley Kirk, all in the direction of Jingcheng.
Of course, Dream Morrow and Grey Petty, along with others, were guarding the rear.
Everyone had a blast these past couple of days; the vast expanses of the grasslands had put everyone in an especially good mood, so it was with much reluctance that they all left.
When Yusuf Zuck and his sister Sara Zuck said their goodbyes, Sara held onto his hand and declared that she wanted to co back during the winter break or sumr vacation, claiming she hadn’t had enough fun, and Yusuf promised her they would.
After seeing the others off, Yusuf called over the villa’s general manager, who had accompanied them throughout their stay.
Over the past couple of days, Yusuf had co to know that this general manager was actually Sadie Blevins’s cousin brother, nad Nehemiah Blevins, who was quite the smooth talker with slim calves, adorned with gold watches and chains, and seeming like the type who indulged excessively in the pleasures of wine and won!
“Brother Nehemiah, who owns the grassland to the east of the villa?” Yusuf pointed towards the endless grassy terrain on the east side of the villa and asked.
“To the east for a kiloter, and southwest for five hundred ters, all that land belongs to my villa.
It’s winter now so it doesn’t look as nice, but once spring arrives and the grass grows tall and eagles soar, we hold Nadam here.
Guests can ride horses across the grasslands, listening to horse-head fiddles while racing their steeds.
It’s very exciting,” explained Nehemiah.
“Behind the villa, I’ve turned the land into a vineyard, and we grow our own organic vegetables.
Inside the grassland, there’s a pond with wild fish and even blackfish among others.
These are natural resources and they’re special features of our villa!”
“How long is the lease for this piece of land?” Yusuf asked further.
“Seventy years.
The longest lease period for grasslands is seventy years, and afterwards, there’s the right of first refusal for renewal.”
“Besides this holiday villa, do you have any other businesses?”
“Yes, I’m partnered with others in real estate developnt.
Since it’s winter, I’m staying at the villa, but co sumr, I’ll be out and about.
My wife manages the villa in the anti.”
“Have you ever thought about selling the villa?” Yusuf asked with a smile.
“What, are you looking to buy, Boss Yusuf?” Nehemiah laughed, aware that his cousin had hosted these VIPs from the capital, big bosses looking to acquire pharmaceutical plants, flush with money!
Yusuf chuckled and responded, “It’s quite beautiful here, and my sister likes it.
If you’re thinking of selling, why not na a price?”
“Haha, no way.
Real estate is unstable, you never know when you’ll make or lose money, but this villa is a steady source of profit, so no matter how much you offer, it’s not for sale!”
“Though, if you really want to buy, I do know of a place about five kiloters from here, another villa.
It’s closed for the winter, and the family has been looking to sell for a couple of years, but haven’t found a buyer yet.”
“Even if I bought it, I might not use it for business.
I’d just want a vacation spot to bring my family for so leisurely mountain and water fun during the sumr.
So if it’s too expensive, I probably wouldn’t buy it!”
“Truthfully, the novelty of this place wears off after a few days.
Stay too long and it gets boring.
In the sumr, there are lots of mosquitoes, and even the grasslands can beco visually tiring.
Those of us here with a bit of ans usually buy seaside properties in Hainan or Guangxi.
So, my advice to you is, if you’re looking to invest and have fun, head to the southern coasts.
The north really isn’t all that interesting.
But if you ever want to co back, just consider this place your ho, free food and lodging!”
“Brother Nehemiah, you’re a real friend.
Be sure to call when you visit the capital city,” Yusuf said.
“Of course, when I visit the capital, you’ll have to arrange everything for from start to finish, hehe!”
“No problem,” Yusuf replied amiably.
“By the way, got any plans tonight?
Bring your brothers along and co with to the city.
I’ll take you to so fun places,” winked Nehemiah at Yusuf.
“I’ll pass, I’m not interested in that,” Yusuf shook his head and whispered, “To tell you the truth, I have several girlfriends, and I’m already running a deficit on my ‘public grain supplies’, so I’m not ssing around outside anymore!”
“Haha, it’s all the sa!
It’s all the sa!” Nehemiah laughed heartily and then whispered, “But as the old saying goes, a wife is no match for a concubine, a concubine is no match for a fling, and a fling is no match for a brothel visit.
If you want, I can arrange a couple of high school girls for you tonight, really, I can take care of it perfectly, no trouble at all!”
