401: Chapter 400: Yuwen 100 Years Old 401: Chapter 400: Yuwen 100 Years Old “Damn it, Rylan Cortez betrayed ?” As Nehemiah Blevins saw the police arrive and the taxi drivers and passengers clogging the hotel entrance, he cursed and dashed outside!
“What are you doing, where are you going?” Yusuf Zuck imdiately chased after him.
Nehemiah Blevins ran back to his own room, then pulled out a fishing gear bag from under the bed, grabbed the double barrel gun, and while loading it, he cursed, “I’ll kill him!”
“Kill who?” Yusuf Zuck approached Nehemiah Blevins, snatched the shotgun, frowned and scolded, “If you go out there with a gun now, you’re going to get shot to pieces, believe it or not?”
“The bastard Rylan Cortez, he’s played too dirty; I’m not through with him today.” Nehemiah Blevins, a fiery Mongolian guy, was so enraged at being betrayed by a friend that he felt like spitting blood.
Just then, the hotel manager rushed over in a hurry.
“Gentlen, give the gun and the bag; the police will definitely co up soon.
You can’t have a gun here.
Don’t worry, I’m one of Mr.
Cunningham’s n, I’ll keep your gun safe.” The manager extended his hand, gesturing for Yusuf Zuck to hand over the gun and bag.
Yusuf Zuck casually tossed the gun and bag to the manager: “Thanks.”
“Don’t worry, it’s no big deal.
We have dozens of people who can vouch for you.
You haven’t gone anywhere tonight, just been drinking in the hotel,” said the manager with a smile, turned around and handed the bag and gun to a waitress following him, who also quickly ran off.
Downstairs, the standoff continued; dozens of taxi drivers were not giving way, and the police were also puzzled.
What were these taxi drivers doing here?
Why were they blocking them?
“Beep beep beep~” Just as the stalemate continued downstairs and the police began calling for backup, three military green Land Rovers arrived.
“Squeak~” As the cars stopped, six burly n in sheepskin coats hastily jumped down from two of the vehicles, each towering over one hundred ninety centiters tall and bulky as calves, clearly typical Mongolian strongn.
A lean man under one hundred and seventy centiters ca out of the last vehicle, wearing a black mink coat and a top hat, looking exceptionally small among the six strongn.
Once this man got out of the car, and the six strongn stood imposingly behind the policen, the policen also grew tense.
The small man’s voice was particularly loud, carrying a commanding presence that quieted the crowd outside the gate in an instant.
Two people ran out from among the dozens of taxi drivers, bypassed the police, and the six strongn, and whispered a few words to the small man.
“Alright, I got it, don’t obstruct the officers, park your cars on the side, and wait outside; I’ll go up with them,” the middle-aged man said with a smile, then waved his hand at the drivers.
The drivers quietly made way, each returning to their own car, starting it up, and orderly driving out of the courtyard.
The small man then approached the policen and said with a smile, “Gentlen, sorry about earlier, they were catching a thief, it seems to be a misunderstanding.
Are you conducting an investigation?
Please, go ahead.”
This man was none other than Antoine Cunningham, unimpressive in appearance and not very tall, yet a Mongolian magnate.
The policen did not know who the unimpressive small man was, but they also had to make arrests tonight, so they did not engage much with Antoine Cunningham and led their team into the hotel.
The manager was already waiting in the lobby; seeing the police enter, he asked courteously what the matter was.
“Did two n and a woman check in earlier?
Which room?”
“No, our hotel only had a few guests check-in before eight o’clock tonight; no one ca in the later part of the night,” the manager said with a puzzled look.
“Impossible, their car is outside.
Please don’t obstruct official duty,” the leader glared angrily, suggesting those three poachers also had so backing.
Tonight’s affair was indeed mysterious.
“Hey, what’s the matter?” At this mont, Antoine Cunningham walked in with six bodyguards.
“Mr.
Cunningham, you’ve arrived.
They were asking if a two n and a woman had checked in, but no one has co tonight, it’s utterly baffling,” the manager said politely as he shook hands with Antoine Cunningham.
“Just cooperate with them and let them search, we have an obligation to assist, we ordinary citizens must also contribute our effort to capture criminals!” Antoine Cunningham said and then asked, “Which room is my niece in?”
“Please follow ,” Manager Lao Ba smiled and then headed upstairs.
“Follow them,” the leader had already guessed that the hotel and the man who just arrived must be related to those three people, so he imdiately followed upstairs.
Yusuf Zuck, Mia, and Nehemiah Blevins were on the second floor; by the ti the group reached the top, the three were already waiting at the door.
“Uncle Antoine!” Mia happily ran over when she saw the tall figure of Antoine Cunningham coming upstairs.
“Haha, Mia is getting prettier and prettier,” Antoine Cunningham laughed heartily.
“It’s them, handcuff Nehemiah Blevins, all of them.” The police who followed up actually recognized Nehemiah Blevins, so with a wave of their hand, a group of officers rushed up to handcuff Nehemiah Blevins, Yusuf Zuck, and Mia.
“Stop right there!” Suddenly, six brawny n stood across the hallway, blocking the police.
“What is this situation?” Antoine Cunningham turned around, his gaze icy as he looked at the leader.
“None of your business, step aside, or we’ll take you too!” the leader said, huffing.
“You’re wrong to say that,” Antoine Cunningham’s eyes flashed with a deadly intent as he stared straight at the leader, speaking in a low voice, “The state has given you the power to enforce the law, but that doesn’t an it has given you the power to abuse your authority.
You try touching today, believe it or not, by dawn your skin won’t be on you?”
“And who are you, so arrogant?” one of the police officers finally couldn’t hold back his anger.
“Who I am isn’t important, you want to arrest my niece now, right?
May I ask, what law have they broken?” Antoine Cunningham challenged.
“They have been poaching!” the leader shouted loudly.
“Poaching?
Well then, catching poachers requires catching them in the act, seeing the gun, seeing the ga they’ve poached.
Do you have any of these pieces of evidence?
And, Manager Lao Ba, what ti did these three check in?”
“They have been here since before dawn, they haven’t gone out all night, I can testify to that, and so can over fifty taxi drivers outside.
Poaching?
This is a novel accusation, are you sure you’re not mistaken?” Manager Lao Ba was astonished.
“Did you hear that?” Antoine Cunningham began to smile, “Fifty-six people can testify for them, that they haven’t left the hotel tonight.
So, I ask, where is your evidence?
Don’t tell that you handle cases without evidence, and don’t ntion confidentiality of evidence.
Here is my identification card and my NPC (National People’s Congress) representative ID.
I can also testify for them, they are law-abiding good citizens.” Antoine Cunningham handed his ID and representative ID to a brawny man, who imdiately passed them to the leader.
When the leader took the two IDs and glanced at them, he froze, then sweat started to pour down his forehead.
Antoine…
Antoine Cunningham!
