“I’m asking about your relationship with her, not for a lecture!” Yusuf Zuck glared at Jero Hart, who glared right back, unyielding.

Wilcox!” Yusuf Zuck teased him on purpose.
Jero Hart suddenly let out a wry laugh, knowing that Yusuf Zuck was just provoking him.
Shaking his head, he said, “She lived at my place for a year when she was little, so I guess she’s like my sister.”
“Oh my, childhood friends,” Yusuf Zuck sneered sarcastically, as if a jar of vinegar had been tipped over.
“You could say that.
Our families even arranged a marriage for us back then,” Jero Hart said, smirking at Yusuf Zuck.
“Damn,” Yusuf Zuck swore under his breath, feeling bitter and unable to describe his emotions.
He was well aware of his own status and knew that Ruth Wilcox would never be within his reach, but hearing about soone else’s marriage arrangents with her made him feel uneasy, for reasons he couldn’t articulate.
“Haha, seems like you’re interested in Ruth?” Jero Hart burst into laughter.
“What, I can’t be interested in her?” Yusuf Zuck glanced at Jero Hart and said, “A gentle lady is to be wooed by a gentleman.
Do you not harbor thoughts when you see a beautiful woman?”
“Oh, that makes sense,” Jero Hart nodded and said, “But I don’t have any feelings for Ruth anymore.
I had a girlfriend in college, and now I have soone I really like!”
“Oh?
For real?” Yusuf Zuck’s eyes imdiately lit up.
“Of course it’s true.
