734: Chapter 733: Confirmation 734: Chapter 733: Confirmation Master Blackwell and Jonas Hopkins actually went to the heart of the royal palace.
The palace of the Saint Dragon Empire was incredibly vast, not only boasting a variety of buildings and houses but also an inner lake and a royal garden.
It once was calculated that over fifty thousand people resided within the palace.
Imagine, more than fifty thousand people living in a single large compound; imagine how imnse that compound must be!
When Master Blackwell and Jonas Hopkins swiftly entered the airspace above the royal palace, three streaks of light shot out from three different directions.
One of them was the old eunuch who served Tyler Nash.
“Blackwell, you poisoner, what are you doing?
Don’t you know this is the royal residence?” The old eunuch’s voice was sinister as he stared at Blackwell and Jonas Hopkins with a chilling murderous intent.
“Bryson, we are going to the Earth Palace to see that dragon!” Master Blackwell said sternly.
“What, what?” Bryson and the other two palace experts were all stunned.
Go to the Earth Palace?
Are you joking?
“Are you mocking ?” Bryson raised his eyebrows.
“That’s the situation, Bryson, don’t panic yet.” Jonas Hopkins imdiately relayed the Earth Immortal’s declaration to discuss life with the dragon!
“Impossible, if an Earth Immortal had gone to the Earth Palace, wouldn’t I know?” Bryson shrieked.
“Are you an Earth Immortal?” Jonas Hopkins retorted.
“That’s not possible either.” Bryson imdiately shook his head.
“Whether it’s possible or not, we’ll know once we ask.
Bryson, we an no harm, so don’t obstruct us, and besides, you can’t stop us!” Master Blackwell said coldly.
“Hmph, then just try!” Bryson snorted disdainfully.
“Stop, stop, both of you, if we fight here, this palace will be leveled to the ground.
Bryson, do you want to see the palace destroyed?” Jonas Hopkins imdiately called a halt, knowing that the Saint Dragon Pavilion and the palace guardians were not on good terms; they barely ever interacted!
Bryson took a deep breath, and after what seed an eternity, exhaled and said coldly, “Humph, you want to go to the Earth Palace?
Then I will accompany you.”
“Whoosh~” Bryson was the first to dive towards the inner lake inside the palace, and monts later plunged into the lake.
Master Blackwell and Jonas Hopkins also descended into the lake, while the other two guardians remained above the water surface, on high alert.
This man-made lake was a hundred ters deep, and at the bottom was an enormous stone like a millstone, flatly positioned at the lakebed.
In the center of the millstone was a chain, on which hung a round stone resembling a pot lid.
Bryson personally lifted the round stone, revealign a pitch-black hole beneath it, a hole from which, inexplicably, the lake water was kept out.
Bryson was still the first to jump into the hole, followed by Master Blackwell and Jonas Hopkins.
Inside the hole was another world, seemingly bottomless, with stone steps descending ever downward.
Perhaps because it had been so many years since anyone had visited, the stone steps were covered in dust.
At this point, Bryson smirked ominously, “See?
There are no footprints on these steps.
To reach the Earth Palace, this is the only path.
With guarding here, if an Earth Immortal were to co, I would definitely know of it.”
“Let’s talk about it inside,” Master Blackwell said impatiently, waving his hand and continuing to sweep downwards.
The three of them walked for about ten minutes, descending who knows how many miles underground, until they finally arrived in front of a stone door, which Bryson personally opened.
Behind the stone door was a wall, with only a passage on the right.
The three continued to the right, then encountered another stone door.
This place was constructed like a Nine Gates Maze, with nine stone doors in total, each positioned differently, making entry quite troubleso.
When they opened the last stone door, an arched cave appeared, imnse enough that one could not see the end of it.
Yet, the cave was exceedingly cold, with ice and frost condensing all around, and nine chains stretching in different directions to bind a massive dragon.
The dragon was a hundred zhang long, its scales a cyan-blue hue that shimred with light.
Each scale was imnse, and the dragon itself bore four claws that sparkled golden, a tail like that of a carp, and atop its head were twin horns—this dragon was the spitting image of those depicted in totems, a true Four-clawed True Dragon.
It lay sprawled on the ground as though asleep.
When the three people entered, it did not move an inch!
Master Blackwell and his companions dared not co too close, watching the dragon from a distance of a hundred ters.
They did not speak, rely observing in silence.
“Motherf*cker, you’ve co to gawk at my misfortune again?” Suddenly, just after the three had been observing the dragon for several breaths, the dragon abruptly opened both of its eyes, shooting out a piercing light.
The chains upon its body clanged loudly.
“Dragon Lord, we et again!” Master Blackwell bowed and greeted the dragon with a smile.
Bryson Campbell and Jonas Hopkins also bowed respectfully.
“Speak if you have sothing to say, fart if you must.” The dragon glared sinisterly at the three, as though it wanted to devour them, but the chains that shackled its body were prohibitively heavy.
Chains constrained its four claws, neck, dorsal fins, tail, and even its nostrils, rendering it immobile.
“Is it true that an Earth Immortal has co to see you?” Master Blackwell asked with a smile.
“Oh?” The dragon narrowed its eyes, then chuckled: “Let guess what you’re implying, haha!”
“You don’t have to guess, just answer yes or no!” Master Blackwell suddenly produced a dazzling golden egg.
The egg, over a ter long and colored a golden yellow, resembled an enormous chicken egg.
“Ah, this is an egg of my Lopez Clan!
Where did you get this?
How do you have an egg of my clan?
Give it to now!” The dragon’s entire body writhed, chains rattling incessantly.
It tried to move closer, but the nine chains held it fast, preventing any movent.
“So was there an Earth Immortal or not?” Master Blackwell asked cheerily.
“There was, there was!” affird the dragon, nodding repeatedly.
“What?
Soone really ca?
Impossible, how did he get in?” Bryson Campbell exclaid in shock.
“Of course, he walked through the door.
Now give the egg!”
“What was his cultivation level?” Master Blackwell asked gravely.
“An Earth Immortal of great power, so strong that he could immobilize effortlessly with his Divine realm.”
“What’s his na?”
“I don’t know.”
“What did he co for?” Bryson Campbell asked in a high-pitched voice.
“How should I know?
He just walked around a few tis.
I begged him to let out, but he said I was too violent, that if released I would bring devastation upon all life.
Damn his ancestors…
When he was leaving, he even broke off one of my scales and took a barrel of my blood!” The dragon twisted its body, revealing the place where a scale was missing.
And there, indeed, it was a fresh wound.
“When exactly did he co?” Jonas Hopkins suddenly asked.
“A few months ago, I think.”
“The exact ti,” Jonas Hopkins pressed.
“I forgot.
Ti ans nothing to here.
Why don’t you stay with for a few days and see?”
“Co on, let’s go.” Master Blackwell didn’t ask any further questions.
He had co to verify whether an Earth Immortal had indeed visited.
Now it seed clear that Bryson Campbell’s master was truly an Earth Immortal, and had indeed been here.
“The egg, leave the egg behind!” the dragon shouted loudly.
“Do you think that’s possible?” Master Blackwell glanced back, then with a ‘whoosh’, flew out!
“Aaargh, despicable humans, despicable humans, I’ll kill you, I’ll eat you…” The dragon, infuriated to the point of nearly spitting blood, roared incessantly as the chains on its body clanged without pause.
But to Jonas Hopkins and Bryson Campbell, none of it mattered.
To them, a trapped dragon was nothing more than a worm!
