In Wendini’s largest training ground, cheers rose and fell in waves, never ceasing since the duel had officially begun.

Just from the sounds of cheering, one could discern how spectacular the duel unfolding in the training ground was.

The swordsn’s exclusive duel between Marilyn and Safaz, from the mont it started, had heated the atmosphere to a boil.

"Clang, clang, clang, clang, clang——"

In the midst of intense clashing swords, two figures interweaved and collided continuously in the arena, causing sparks and gusts of wind to burst forth.

Marilyn and Safaz were like two streams of light, chasing each other across the field, crossing paths, switching places, and clashing fiercely, leaving persistent afterimages and flashes of swords—all contributing to the non-stop sounds of tal against tal and showcasing exceptional speed along with a white-hot battle.

To clearly see the fight between the two, many magicians had resorted to magic that enhanced their vision, and the latest magical tools were active in the stands as well, allowing every spectator to barely make out the intense showdown between Marilyn and Safaz, leading to waves of cheering.

Reiger’s eyes were also tightly fixed on the arena, taking in every detail of the battle between Marilyn and Safaz.

Even to Reiger, this fight was greatly captivating.

Especially Marilyn, who had always followed quietly behind Yuri, was giving Reiger quite the surprise with her displayed skills.

Marilyn’s weapon of choice wasn’t a common longsword, but rather a pair of slender short swords, similar to twin swords from a past life.

She was like an assassin, holding the swords in reverse grip, where each movent of her elbow could unleash a streak of sword light, covering Safaz in a web-like barrage of intense and rapid attacks, coming from angles that were extrely tricky to defend against.

Her speed was also very fast, and her agility seed to be specifically studied, with each movent carrying a peculiar grace. If not for Reiger’s keen combat intuition, he might have been dazzled and lost sight of Marilyn several tis by her unique, wind-floating agility.

This made it clear that Marilyn was a swordsman leaning towards agility and technique, her strikes not necessarily powerful, but compensated by the terrifying speed and frequency of her attacks.

Facing such a Marilyn, a slight misstep could result in being slashed dozens, if not hundreds of tis in an instant, ending up dismbered and dead on the spot.

Just from this performance alone, Reiger was certain.

"Marilyn’s strength is not much different from Ais’s."

Reiger’s high regard for this maid showed just how strong Marilyn was.

Unlike Ai En and Ian, who were equivalent to a potential of the lowest Level 5, Marilyn’s strength was not much less even compared to high-tier talents like Ais.

At least, without Ais using "Wind Spirit Swift Walk," it definitely wouldn’t be easy to defeat Marilyn.

This maid truly lived up to the na of Yuri’s strongest attendant, as ordinary knights simply could not compare.

It was just unfortunate that Marilyn had encountered a tough nut to crack.

"Marilyn is going to lose,"

Reiger could see clearly that, facing Marilyn’s tempest-like onslaught, Safaz, though constantly on the defensive, obviously had plenty of strength in reserve.

A faintly frivolous smile still hung on his face, and the sword he wielded was a standard western sword.

In Safaz’s hands, that sword seed to transform into a whip, twisting and turning like willow branches, its trajectory bafflingly strange to witness.

Yet, it was this dance of the sword that deflected all of Marilyn’s fierce blows with absolute precision, creating an impenetrable shield around Safaz where not a single slash from Marilyn could co closer than a ter to him.

Marilyn kept pressing forward, continuously slashing with her sword, and accelerating, making the flashes of her sword increasingly dense and her strikes more frequent. Still, Safaz managed to protect his body without a single flaw. The sword thrusts that Marilyn aid several tis at the dal on his left shoulder were deflected by a rapier that moved in from so unknown direction, ultimately sparking a re burst of sparks.

Compared to Marilyn’s display of skill, Safaz seed utterly ordinary. Yet, sowhat inexplicably, he managed to prevent Marilyn from landing a single effective attack from start to finish.

Such a performance not only caused so knowledgeable spectators to look on with grave expressions, but it also led Reiger to take a long, hard look at this eldest son of the Franzer family.

"Safaz Franzer, this man’s strength, I’m afraid, is not far from Lv.6."

Just as Yuri and Marilyn had previously speculated, this man’s strength was not to be underestimated, far above Marilyn’s.

Reiger asked himself honestly and found that even if he took the stage, he wouldn’t be able to defeat Safaz without taking it seriously.

What was frightening was that from Safaz’s seemingly effortless deanor, it was apparent that he had reserved so of his strength and had not shown it all.

"Interesting."

Reiger looked up to Safaz quite a bit more, and the audience was even more satisfied, finding it extrely thrilling.

This intense battle went on for a full fifteen minutes.

After fifteen minutes, Marilyn started to feel the drain on her stamina, both her movent and attack speeds had noticeably dropped.

Safaz seed to be waiting for just this mont.

"It seems I have won."

Safaz, whose breathing hadn’t even shown a hint of instability, took advantage of the gap when Marilyn was gasping for air and low on stamina, thrusting his sword directly.

This thrust was much faster than any action he had previously taken, so fast it was like a beam of light flashed across the arena, leaving Marilyn completely unable to react.

By the ti Marilyn reacted, the dal on her left shoulder had been split in two, falling to the ground.

"The first match, victory to Sir Eredman."

The emcee’s voice rose appropriately, announcing the result of the first duel.

Marilyn stopped moving, gasping for air while looking at the dal on the ground that was now in two pieces. After a mont, she raised her head, and her eyes revealed a heart-pounding surge of mysterious power.

"Wait, wait, wait, can you calm down a bit?" Safaz quickly raised his hands, surrendering as he said, "I really don’t want to fight you when you’re serious; it could be deadly, please spare ."

The pleading in Safaz’s voice made the mysterious power flickering in Marilyn’s eyes disappear.

"Hmph."

Only then did Marilyn snort coldly, turning and leaving the arena, to which the entire audience gave their applause.

"Truly frightening."

Safaz, sowhat theatrically, patted his chest and then turned around to return to the Eredman camp.

"Well done, Safaz."

Eredman spoke a word of praise to Safaz as he returned.

"You flatter ," Safaz said nonchalantly, waving his hand. "There’s nothing left for to do, right? Can I focus on enjoying the show now?"

"Suit yourself," Eredman replied indifferently. "Just rember, you can’t leave the arena until the Battle Festival is over."

"Yes, yes, yes," Safaz responded perfunctorily.

anwhile, Marilyn had returned to Yuri’s camp and apologized to her.

"I’m sorry, miss, I still lost."

Though she spoke words of apology, Marilyn’s tone and expression were quite calm.

"It’s alright," Yuri shook her head and said, "This was within our expectations."

Ai En and Ian also approached.

"You worked hard."

"Your strength has increased again."

The two female Knights offered their condolences and praise to Marilyn without stinginess.

Though Reiger said nothing, he gave Marilyn a few more glances than usual.

Marilyn didn’t speak again and quietly returned behind Yuri, resuming her role as the silent and reserved personal maid.

At that mont, Yuri stood up instead.

"It’s my turn now."

Just as Yuri’s voice trailed off, the announcer’s voice rang out from the outside.

"Next, please have both parties send out a Magician to participate in the second event, the Magician’s duel."

Upon hearing this, everyone’s eyes turned toward Yuri.

"Be careful, miss."

"Give it your all, miss."

Ai En and Ian spoke out in succession.

"Good luck."

Reiger too offered a word of encouragent.

"Don’t worry."

With a serene yet powerful stride, Yuri smiled in reply and stepped onto the practice field one foot at a ti.

"It’s the Lady Franzer!"

"Lady Franzer has entered the field!"

"Ah! Lady Yuri!"

A series of cheers and screams erupted from the spectators, fully displaying Yuri’s popularity.

After all, as the publicly recognized lord of the Franzer territory, young and beautiful, and imnsely talented, Yuri enjoyed a world-renowned reputation known far and wide.

Being one of only eight Strategic Level Magicians on the continent, her popularity could not be low, and she might even be the most popular Magician at present.

In comparison, Eredman’s entrance had elicited a noticeably muted response.

He seed not to mind, squinting his eyes as he watched his daughter enter the field alongside him.

Only at this mont did Eredman realize that his daughter had grown up quite a bit.

In this context, Eredman couldn’t help but say,

"You already lost the first match, and if I win this second one, you’ll have completely lost."

What Eredman ant by this, no one knew.

"Do you think I will lose?"

Yuri, facing this father whom she couldn’t bring herself to like, surprisingly revealed a smile.

"...Indeed, you are talented, far more so than I was," Eredman fell silent for a mont then spoke faintly, "But without the use of Tactical or Strategic Level Magic, do you think you can defeat , soone who has spent decades studying Combat Level Magic?"

Due to a lack of aptitude for becoming a Tactical Level Magic Magician, Eredman had spent decades focusing on Combat Level Magic.

With the proficiency born from years of deep engagent in Combat Level Magic, Eredman didn’t believe he would lose to a daughter who couldn’t use Tactical or Strategic Level Magic.

"I will be the ultimate victor of this Battle Festival."

Eredman was that confident.

But, he was disappointed.

"Boom!"

When a burst of purple energy swept around him like a hurricane, hitting the ground and completely disintegrating it into nothingness, the confidence on Eredman’s face froze.

The entire arena beca dead silent.

Everyone was shocked as they watched the center, looking at Yuri wrapped in purple energy.

"Unfortunately, I do not see where your chance of victory lies."

Yuri’s voice echoed throughout the entire arena.

Eredman, speechless, watched his daughter across from him, a bead of sweat, conspicuous and undeniable, trickling down his forehead.

An unequal, one-sided crush was about to unfold.
