In the sky, a very small curse spirit, resembling a water snake, wobbled as it flew from the direction of the forest and landed on a small hill near Tokyo High School.
A hand reached out towards the curse spirit in the sky, allowing it to land upon the hand and wrap around the wrist, behaving obediently like a pet.
The monk retrieved this unremarkable curse spirit, and the aning-laden smile that had been on his face vanished at this mont.
"The strongest technique passed down through generations in the Gojo Family, known by few even within the main family — [Void Style·Purple]."
The monk murmured to himself.
"Even that technique, has he already learned it?"
The monk’s face showed no hint of a smile as he furrowed his brows, lost in thought.
It wasn’t until much later that his companion’s voice awakened him.
"What’s up? Not going so smoothly?"
Mahito walked over from another direction, carrying sothing in one hand while the other naturally hung down, slowly dripping blood, adding a tinge of blood scent to the air.
It did not appear to be Mahito’s own blood, but rather soone else’s, which left Mahito looking quite relaxed, even to the point of being pleased.
Clearly, he had just engaged in a battle that was both physically and ntally exhilarating, putting him in a good mood.
Glancing at Mahito, the monk withdrew his gaze.
"Smooth enough, at least we did probe a few things, achieving one of our goals." The monk replied without turning his head, "But what we discovered isn’t exactly good news, I’m afraid it will trouble us afterwards."
"Oh really?" Mahito said dismissively, "Looks like what Luohu and Hanami said was true, Gojo Satoru’s disciple is quite strong, isn’t he?"
"Yes, very strong," the monk said with an emotionless tone, "Even capable of using [Void Style·Purple], probably not much different from Gojo Satoru."
As he spoke, the monk paused for a mont and shook his head.
"No, given that he also has the ability to copy others’ techniques, and can use techniques even Gojo Satoru can’t, including those of the other two clans of the Big Three, his potential threat might even surpass Gojo Satoru. If he’s also mastered Domain Expansion, then he’s really not lacking compared to Gojo Satoru."
The gravity of this assessnt and its implications were not lost on Mahito.
"Is he really that formidable?" Mahito remarked skeptically, "The ability to copy others’ techniques, isn’t there soone else at the Jujutsu High School who can do that? I’ve never seen you pay much attention to them before."
"You an Okkotsu Yuta?" the monk stated flatly, as though narrating a fact, "It’s different."
"Okkotsu Yuta does indeed have the ability to unconditionally mimic others’ techniques, and almost infinite curse energy, but he can only mimic. If he lacks the conditions to use a technique, he cannot utilize the mimicked technique."
"For example, the Gojo Family’s [Limitless Cursed Technique] requires the possession of Six Eyes to use freely, Zenin Family’s [Ten Shadow Techniques] needs a subjugation ritual to properly summon shikigami, even Kamo Family’s [Red Blood Manipulation] requires skills and knowledge in controlling blood, it’s not sothing you can just use at will."
"Thus, the techniques Okkotsu Yuta can truly mimic and use are at most like [Cursed Speech], which can be used as long as one can endure the side effects, and even then, there are control and other issues that need resolving."
"As for the infinite curse energy, it’s just that the replenishnt speed is so fast it almost never runs out, but it’s not as if Okkotsu Yuta’s output of curse energy becos significantly stronger, the amount of curse energy he can wield and output isn’t much."
"Compared to Gojo Satoru, Okkotsu Yuta is still far behind, not much of a threat."
The monk paused slightly again, his tone becoming sowhat grave.
"But the special grade Curse Involvent... Reiger Brillhaut is different."
"He has the capability to overco and even improve upon his own mastered techniques."
"He has potential comparable to or even surpassing Gojo Satoru."
"His curse energy replenishnt speed is extraordinarily fast, even faster than Okkotsu Yuta, and what’s more valuable is that his understanding, usage, and output standards of curse energy are all far beyond Okkotsu Yuta."
"Okkotsu Yuta cannot beco Gojo Satoru, but Reiger Brillhaut can."
"Or rather, he has already beco another Gojo Satoru."
Only the monk knows what it truly ans to beco another Gojo Satoru.
His origins are remarkable, his abilities impressive, by rights he’s at the pinnacle of the world of sorcery, even confidently believing he could defeat a special grade curse mage held in high esteem in the world of sorcery.
Yet, though Gojo Satoru is a special grade curse mage, he cannot simply be compared to others of the sa level.
Others are special grade curse mages because their limit is being special grade curse mages.
Whereas Gojo Satoru is a special grade curse mage only because it’s the highest grade for a curse mage, there is no rank above it, otherwise, Gojo Satoru wouldn’t share the sa rating with the others.
He’s an anomaly in the world of sorcery, an anomaly among curse mages and curse masters.
The peak of the world of sorcery?
Gojo Satoru has long since surpassed this peak!
When others stand atop the mountain, only he stands beneath the heavens.
