This skyscraper stands over a hundred ters tall, with nearly a hundred floors.

Darkness breeds within the building, with no light source and not a soul in sight, resembling a dead city in the abyss, where even the air feels oppressive and heavy.

The skyscraper has countless corridors and passageways, along with nurous staircases that crisscross; so delve underground, others pierce through walls, with others extending up to a ceiling whose end cannot be seen.

Without a doubt, this is not the design of a normal structure.

"Tap—tap—tap—tap—"

At so mont, a footstep suddenly reverberated harshly.

A black-haired, black-eyed youth appeared in the skyscraper, at so unknown ti, strolling leisurely through the dark environnt as if taking a casual walk.

"Gibber..."

"Grumble grumble..."

Suddenly, strange sounds erged, like monsters murmuring, or devils weeping.

The youth looked upward and imdiately saw wavering shadows approaching this side.

Their forms were bizarre, resembling beasts, yet ghost-like, carrying an odd sense of mockery; their staggering appearance seed like puppets being controlled. The ominous aura they emitted was a reminder that these were not harmless clowns.

They were Curse Spirits, peculiar entities born from human’s negative emotions, codic yet grotesque, more repulsive than nauseating.

Watching this group of Curse Spirits, filled with hatred towards life and humanity, whose very birth was instinctual for slaughter, the youth hesitated not a mont and continued to walk forward slowly.

"Owooo...!"

Suddenly, the Curse Spirits growled, lunging in the youth’s direction.

In that mont, from the youth’s moving shadow, two large dogs appeared.

"Roar!"

A black and white pair of Shikigami dogs, taller than the youth, roared in unison, lunging out, greeting the Curse Spirits.

"Splat!"

The leading Curse Spirit, unable to react, was bitten in the head by the lightning-like white dog, spraying blood from its neck.

"Splat!"

The black dog swung its claws, slashing with several claw marks at the remaining Curse Spirits, slicing open two of them.

"Splat!" "Splat!" "Splat!" "Splat!" "Splat!"...

As the two Shikigami dogs rampaged like wolves amid a flock of sheep, their sharp teeth and claws wrought havoc repeatedly, with bursts of blood constantly flashing in the corridors.

Curse Spirits, one after another, were ruthlessly slaughtered under such circumstances, rendered incapable of resistance, being shredded into countless pieces by the relentless assault of the two Shikigami dogs, ending up dead beyond dead.

The youth maintained his pace, walking forward as though indifferent to the repeated flashes of blood and gore-filled Curse Spirits appearing around him, strolling amidst the mountain of corpses and ocean of blood.

By the ti he left the corridor, the two large Shikigami dogs had returned to his shadow, leaving behind only an expanse of Curse Spirit remains, slowly transforming into flying ashes and dispersing.

Not long after, the youth finally halted his steps.

He arrived at the skyscraper’s top floor, entering a place akin to a sky courtyard.

Surrounded by flower beds and fountains, along with exquisite sculptures.

A glass skylight overhead covered the sky courtyard, allowing the moonlight to pour down from above.

"Crunch... crunch..."

The sound of chewing emanated from the forefront of the sky courtyard.

There, a colossal shadow over six or seven ters tall crouched, seemingly clutching sothing in its hand, stuffing it bite by bite into its mouth, juicy fluids flowing freely.

If anyone were here witnessing this scene, they would surely turn pale and vomit on the spot, wouldn’t they?

Because what was being grasped and gnawed, reduced to re remnants, unmistakably resembled a human.

The juices splattered further carried a shocking, eye-catching red hue.

Such a sight, how could it not provoke imdiate vomiting?

Only Reiger, watched silently for a while, then finally spoke.

"Is it tasty?"

This voice carried no emotion.

"So it’s you, turning this skyscraper into your unfinished Domain, hunting people here as prey, resulting in nurous disappearances."

Reiger’s voice rang out, apathetic.

"A total of 427 people, you really have quite the appetite."

Reiger’s words halted the giant shadow’s eating action.

"Hee hee... hee hee hee..."

Alongside a creepy laughter, the giant shadow let out inarticulate mumblings.

"Eating... happy... happy..."

This utterance brought a smile to Reiger’s face too.

"Then let’s see if you can keep being happy."

Upon hearing this, the laughter from the giant shadow abruptly ceased and it slowly stood up.

Its true height exceeded ten ters, with a bulky physique, wings on its back, a mouthpiece, hands and feet more than one pair, all covered in spikes.

It shook its body, flapped its wings, swiftly ascending into the air.

A closer look revealed an extre resemblance to a fly in appearance.

"Humans... food... gobble up all..."

Babbling incoherently like an infant or imbecile, the fly-shaped Curse Spirit began to speak.

"Gobble up all!"

High-frequency sound waves erupted from its mouth, shattering the skylight of the entire sky courtyard.

"Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!" "Boom!"...

The sound of shattering reverberated as the glass covering the entire sky courtyard fractured one after another, transforming into countless swirling glass shards.

"So noisy."

Bathed in the piercing sound waves, Reiger frowned, his voice turning cold.
