"Tap... tap... tap... tap..."
In the deserted subway passage, the sound of Reiger’s footsteps descending the stairs was particularly clear.
Above his head still hovered a blood-ford magical mass, the blood light shining on his face, giving him an aura of bloodthirsty cruelty.
With no expression on his face, Reiger walked down the stairs, arriving at the subway platform.
Here, not only was there a subway train silently stopped on the tracks, but there were also people standing there.
The number of people was large, almost filling the entire platform.
What was eerie was that none of them made a sound, nor did any of them move, as if they had fallen into a stupor, standing there motionless, like they had lost their souls.
The many missing people of Shibuya had finally surfaced here.
Reiger stood for a while, realizing it wasn’t just people standing there motionless.
There seed to be a fierce battle here; there were marks of destruction everywhere, and the ground was covered with corpses of both humans and the monsters that had filled the subway passage.
They all lay in pools of blood, so with eyes wide open, their faces bewildered, as if they noticed nothing before dying, their souls already returned to hell; others looked terrified, having lost their precious lives in fear and despair.
And whether the corpses were human or monster, hardly one was intact.
Especially the monster corpses, many heads were severed, with only dismbered limbs left, indicating that whoever killed them sought efficiency, making their deaths quick and decisive.
Silently observing all this, after a mont, Reiger walked into the crowd.
At that instant—
"Swish!"
Among the dense crowd, a figure suddenly appeared behind Reiger.
It was a long-haired young man with patched clothes and sallow skin.
The young man ca behind Reiger, lifted his eyes towards him, and an innocent yet extrely evil smile gradually appeared on his face.
Then, the young man placed his hand on Reiger’s back.
"[Non-action transformation]."
At this mont, the young man gained the power to decide the fate of the person he touched.
But before his smile could widen, his expression suddenly changed.
"Splash!"
Reiger, touched on the back by the young man, suddenly lost form, dissolving directly into a puddle of blood.
Imdiately afterward, behind the young man whose face changed drastically, Reiger’s figure silently appeared.
"Boom!"
With a muffled thud, the young man was kicked away, flying sideways and crashing into the subway.
"Crash!"
The wall of a subway car was imdiately smashed, and the young man crashed into the subway, sending shattered glass and reinforced seats flying, creating a huge hole in the wall on the other side of the car.
"Swish!"
"Swish!"
At the sa ti, two more figures appeared on Reiger’s left and right, one short, one tall, one like an old man, the other like a burly martial artist, attacking Reiger simultaneously.
Instantly, a wave of scorching heat and a rich life force surged towards Reiger.
On the left was a short old man with a volcanic head, releasing flas akin to a volcanic eruption, instantly turning the entire subway platform space a fiery red.
On the right was a burly martial artist; the ground around him quickly rose, with thick tree roots like pillars erging from the ground, dense and endless.
The surging flas and endless tree roots simultaneously erupted from left and right, charging towards Reiger.
Especially the surging flas, whose power was terrifying, capable of blowing up the entire platform if they landed.
And these two attacks showed complete disregard for the humans present.
In less than a second, they would first blow away and crush all humans in their path before hitting Reiger.
Then—
"[Jutsushiki jyunten Ao]."
As a cold voice sounded, a faint blue light appeared above the platform.
The blue light, like a blue black hole, spun slightly, emitting a glow, drawing the flas and roots that were about to hit the crowd into the air.
In an instant, the surging flas, as if pulled by an invisible force, flowed upward, gathering around the blue light, and the endless roots that had grown from the ground also grew uncontrollably into the air, drawn to the blue light, then twisted and promptly torn apart.
"What?"
"Using the attractive force of [Infinite Cursed Arts] here...!"
The volcanic old man and martial artist monster were both astonished.
In their expectations, facing this attack, Reiger should have opted to withstand it head-on rather than using [Ao] to absorb the flas and roots.
Because there were still many humans here.
If [Ao] were activated here, wouldn’t the humans be drawn in too?
Yet, the flas and roots were absorbed, even surrounding structures trembled, so cracking, so shattering, about to be drawn in under the powerful gravitational force.
Only those humans standing there were untouched by the gravity, standing there unhard.
The reason was simple.
The blood, almost covering the entire ground, had quietly begun to wriggle, sohow attaching to the humans’ feet, keeping them safe and sound.
