Pacific Ocean, Northwest.
At the seabed east of Honshu, lies a trench 890 kiloters long, 100 kiloters wide, with an average depth of over 6000 ters, reaching its deepest point at 10374 ters southeast of the Izu Islands.
It is one of the deepest trenches in the world, connecting southwards to the Ryukyu Trench and, ultimately, to the known deepest trench, the Mariana Trench.
This trench, passing through the eastern part of Honshu Island’s Kashima Beach, reaches parts deeper than 8000 ters, with a depth of 8412 ters.
Above such a trench, on the tumultuous sea surface, a figure silently stepped out of a semicircular dark door, walking across the air as if it were firm ground, reaching above the ocean.
"Is this the place?"
Gazing at the rough ocean below, Reiger mused quietly.
"Who would have thought, the Prison Gate Border sealing Gojo Satoru would actually be placed by Knot in this trench, thrown into the seabed over 8000 ters deep."
"What kind of fear does this Knot have towards Gojo?"
Thinking of this, Reiger felt a bit lucky that the one sealed was Gojo Satoru and not himself.
Though both were feared and targeted, he was undoubtedly luckier than Gojo, only being excluded from the Destruction Revisit, without being sealed.
If he were the one sealed, perhaps he would also be sunk into a trench over 8000 ters deep now?
"Of course, it’s impossible for to be sealed."
With the developnt ability of "Non-constraint," Reiger was impossible to be restricted or sealed.
Not choosing him as the target for sealing was indeed lucky for Knot.
"Boom!"
Reiger suddenly plunged straight into the sea, like a torpedo, advancing towards the seabed at an astonishing speed.
The [Limitless Curse] automatically expanded, forming an inviolable space enveloping Reiger, causing the seawater to automatically part away, unable to touch his body.
At the sa ti, Reiger activated two spells.
"[Underwater Breathing]."
"[Perpetual Light]."
The forr spell, as the na suggests, allowed breathing underwater.
The latter, simpler, was rely to create a light source.
As Reiger moved towards the depths at an incredible speed, the light gradually dimd, turning the water pitch-black, the visible range decreasing at an apparent rate.
Reiger’s vision, enhanced by grace, wasn’t entirely impaired, but lacking a light source was indeed troubleso, not conducive to activity in such an environnt, let alone trying to find sothing here.
Thus, a blinding light ford in front of him, falling rapidly as he descended swiftly.
Nurous deep-sea fish were scared away by the sudden dazzling light, even large predatory underwater creatures like sharks were frightened off by the kinetic energy and commotion from Reiger’s rapid descent, not daring to approach.
Reiger, burrowing headlong towards the seabed, almost collided with a whale along the way.
But eventually, he successfully arrived above the trench that resembled an abyssal chasm, witnessing this opening resembling a beast’s gaping bloody mouth, exuding an astounding sense of oppression and presence.
"Still need to go down."
Looking at the trench seemingly capable of awakening the deepest fears within one’s heart, Reiger, confident in his skills, boldly dove inside.
In his mind, the light marking the Prison Gate Border’s location beca increasingly closer, like a seafloor map unfurling towards him as he moved swiftly.
This was an epheral virtual map ford in his mind as a consequence of using a superior spell, [Wishing Upon a Star], for fulfilling his wish.
According to the map’s indication, Reiger discovered that the Prison Gate Border sealing Gojo Satoru was not only thrown by Knot into a trench over 8000 ters deep but was also placed on a buffer zone of the trench plate.
By this point, Reiger nearly encountered no living creatures, and even those occasionally seen, with their grotesque forms, persuaded him not to linger here, let alone spare another glance.
"...Still need to go further down."
Sighing, Reiger continued to move downward, reaching the buffer zone indicated on the ntal map.
The pressure here was already terrifying.
If not for the [Limitless Curse]’s inviolable barrier, moving in such a place would undoubtedly require Reiger significant effort.
"There it is."
After so searching, Reiger finally found the Prison Gate Border.
It was a cube resembling flesh and blood, with creepy eyes covering its surface.
It floated in the sea, drifting with the turbulent currents, occasionally hitting the rock walls, sotis sinking, sotis rising, sotis rapidly rotating and shifting, much like a living unknown sea creature.
"Is this the Prison Gate Border?"
Feeling the faint curse power fluctuating on it, Reiger confird that if it weren’t the Prison Gate Border, it was also an extraordinarily high-level cursed item, not much weaker than his own Onikiri’s level.
"Finally found it."
Reiger, invigorated, moved swiftly over, reaching out his hand, intending to grasp that cursed item.
However, Reiger’s movent froze quickly.
"Boom!"
Just as Reiger’s hand was about to touch the Prison Gate Border, it suddenly erupted with masses of pitch-black curse power.
"Roar!"
"Roar!"
Amidst ferocious roars, fish-shaped Curse Spirits detached from the Prison Gate Border, resembling creatures escaping from so sealed jar, roaring and baring their fangs as they pounced on Reiger.
