"Live... or die?"
Even as his heart was filled with negative emotions, a droplet of cold sweat trickled down Yarad’s pale face.
Of course, he didn’t want to die.
If possible, he would rather see the young man before him... no, the three people in front of him all drop dead.
He didn’t care if the other person was a savior, or if the Source World would be saved because of them; anyone who wanted his life had to die.
But Yarad was very clear that this was rely a delusion.
At least, resentnt and imagination alone were useless.
"... No matter what, I am the supre commander of the Libion Duchy. With the King seriously ill now, my status is even higher than that of a royal family mber."

Yarad spoke these words with a feigned bravado, as he cradled his broken arm and slowly stepped back.
"The supre commander of the Libion Duchy?" lo finally spoke, sarcastically saying: "Even if you were a king of a major nation, having touched the forbidden Blood Sacrifice Ceremony, you wouldn’t escape death."
"But you have no evidence to prove that." Yarad forced a smile: "Even if you take the scroll recording the Blood Sacrifice Ceremony out and tell the world it’s mine, I would never admit it."
"As long as I don’t admit it, you have no way to convict unilaterally. I can always claim that you’re slandering ."
"In that case, even if you’re the empire’s princess or the church’s Pope, the Libion Duchy won’t choose to believe you but will choose to believe ."
"After all, I am the hope of this country, not you."
These words were pure sophistry.
Perhaps if Yarad insisted on not admitting it, the Libion Duchy might consider him innocent, a victim of conspiracy. Yet, one mustn’t forget about Reiger and Naisa being here.
"With you, the savior present, as long as you speak a word, do you think the people of the Source World would prefer to believe you or him?"
lo sneered as she spoke.
Needless to say, the savior was the faith of the Source World. With Reiger testifying, given the people’s enthusiastic reception toward him, even the people of the Libion Duchy would have many who are willing to believe his testimony.
"And ." Naisa said expressionlessly: "As the Pope of the Holy Sword Church, I can still represent the church and publicly accuse you of your cris."
The mission of the Holy Sword Church is to protect the holy sword.
The existence of the holy sword is the lifeline of the current Source World.
Without the holy sword sealing the abyss, and without the holy sword deterring the abyssal creatures, the Source World might have already fallen.
Therefore, the Holy Sword Church holds a position equivalent to the Guardian of the world in the Source World, absolutely standing on the legitimate official stance of the Source World.
As the Pope of the Holy Sword Church, if Naisa stood up to accuse Yarad, no one would doubt the authenticity of such a testimony.
Whether it was Reiger or Naisa, both represent the Source World itself, with no entangled interests with the Libion Duchy.
Thus, even if not everyone believed their accusation, at least ninety-nine percent would, and the rest would be half-skeptical.
Yarad couldn’t possibly be unaware of this.
"Are you stalling for ti?" Reiger asked with interest, watching Yarad retreat slowly. "Do you have so trump card to turn the tables?"
"If you do, you can use it now."
"I’ll give you a chance to use it."
Upon hearing this, Yarad’s face remained ashen, but a bizarre smile appeared on his face.
"You will pay for your arrogance, young savior."
With that, Yarad suddenly threw sothing towards Reiger.
"...!"
Seeing this, lo and Naisa reacted sharply; one raised her longsword while the other imdiately shot out a streak of light, striking the object.
"Bang!"
The light easily struck down the object, destroying it, but just before its destruction, lo and Naisa realized that it was nothing more than an ordinary gold coin.
And the mont Yarad threw the coin, he turned and dashed towards the door without looking back.
lo and Naisa realized that they had been deceived by Yarad’s bluff.
"Swish!"
Just as the two won felt incensed and were about to give chase, and Yarad was about to crash through the door and escape, an astonishing gravitational force acted upon him, pulling his body uncontrollably backward.
Reiger remained seated, unmoved, extending a hand forward. The cerulean spell light flickered as he activated the [Azure] technique, pulling Yarad back.
Before Yarad could react, he was drawn before Reiger, about to collide with him.
In response, Reiger simply gestured to the side, and the gravitational force acting on Yarad imdiately changed direction, hurling him aside.
"Bang!"
With a dull thud, Yarad crashed heavily into the wall, shattering it.
Amid the flying rubble, the barrier set up in the room was triggered, manifesting proactively, causing a transparent shield to appear within the wall.
