In the end, Reiger accepted all the gifts.
There was no other way; if he didn’t accept them, the others wouldn’t rest until he did.
Whether out of enthusiasm or with ulterior motives, Reiger had to accept the gifts brought by others at least once. Otherwise, even if he returned them, they would probably find another way to connect with him.
Whether it was to leave an impression in Reiger’s mind or to generate so goodwill toward them, there was certainly no harm in doing so, which naturally led everyone to compete to do it.
This is what is called the social intercourse among the powerful.
Reiger didn’t expect that on his trip to Nanalgar, he would receive such a large gift, taking up quite a bit of his ti just to accept them.
This caused the true purpose of Reiger’s visit to Nanalgar to have no chance to be ntioned at all.
"Oh well, let’s talk about it tomorrow."
After so thought, Reiger decided to let the matter rest for the day.
Bringing up his intentions at such an occasion would be inappropriate.
It’s worth noting that Quilles did not ask Reiger what his purpose was in coming to Nanalgar.
He naturally knew that Reiger must have had so thoughts traveling such a distance to this place.
But this matter truly wasn’t urgent.
"Your Excellency has been through quite a scare these two days and hasn’t had much chance to rest; why not rest in the residence for a night first?"
Quilles kindly suggested this.
To this, Reiger did not refuse.
"Then let’s rest for a night first."
Seeing Reiger agreed, Quilles imdiately ordered soone to personally take Reiger to the room he had ticulously prepared.
However, to his displeasure, seeing Reiger stay, Lilicia and Pasiphus also chid in, saying they planned to stay for the night as well.
"...The Sagelros Empire’s garrison isn’t far from here; considering Your Highnesses hold noble statuses, wouldn’t it be better to return to your own country?"
Facing Quilles’ words, which he managed to say despite his displeasure, the two siblings always maintained a smiling deanor.
""It’s fine; we don’t mind.""
This synchronised reply made Quilles’ eye twitch, almost causing him to forsake decorum and curse aloud.
"Lord Quilles."
The key was that Beluti, who had been silently watching Reiger, actually spoke up at this mont.
"I apologize, could I also stay overnight at your honor’s residence?"
The angelic girl asked softly, with a hint of apology, leaving Quilles at a loss for words.
"Saintess Beluti."
Naisa, like a mistress facing a rival entering her territory, spoke words laced with a clear warning.
Unfortunately, Beluti ignored Naisa, rely casting a hopeful gaze at Quilles, making it impossible for Quilles to say anything in refusal.
With no choice left, Quilles nodded in agreent to the three’s requests.
Were it soone else, he certainly would refuse rcilessly, kicking them out.
But the three in front of him held noble statuses equal to his, making it difficult for him to act too bluntly.
Seeing the three decide to stay, Reiger knew they ca with him in mind.
But he also understood he was quite popular at the mont, and as long as it didn’t adversely impact his life, he let them do as they pleased.
As Reiger was thinking this—
"Your Excellency, can you hear ?"
A gentle and soft voice suddenly sounded in Reiger’s mind.
Reiger raised an eyebrow, discreetly glancing beside him.
There, Beluti was still watching him, giving him a beautiful smile as he looked over.
Before Reiger could say or do anything, the gentle, soft voice rang in his mind again.
"I deeply apologize, Your Excellency, for communicating with you in this manner."
"Please believe , I hold no ill will and rely wish to have a conversation."
"I wonder... could Your Excellency find an opportunity to give a little ti?"
As these words echoed in his mind repeatedly, Reiger saw Beluti lower her head slightly in his direction, making a pleading gesture.
Reiger glanced at the clueless Naisa beside him, who seed to be troubled about sothing, then looked back at Beluti. Under Beluti’s imploring gaze, he nodded.
Suddenly, Beluti displayed a truly joyful expression.
"Thank you, Your Excellency."
Saying this, Beluti told Reiger a ti and place.
Reiger no longer responded to Beluti, leaving with lo, Naisa, Jelina, Hilune, and Aleye.
Lilicia and Pasiphus rolled their eyes, still wanting to follow.
But this ti, lo stepped forward and blocked them.
"Ladies and gentlen, if you continue like this, you’ll be disturbing his rest, won’t you?" lo said calmly, "If there’s anything you’d like to say, why not wait until tomorrow?"
Though lo posed it as a question, the indisputable tone was unmistakable.
"You..."
Lilicia raised an eyebrow, poised to say sothing but was stopped by Pasiphus.
"Disturbing his rest is indeed inappropriate." Pasiphus shook his head at his sister and said, "He just arrived here; we shouldn’t press too hard or it might displease him."
Upon hearing this, Lilicia, though unwilling, stopped in her tracks and refrained from moving forward.
Only then did lo turn and leave with a victorious smile (from Lilicia’s perspective), following Reiger, causing Lilicia to puff up her cheeks.
"Saintess, are you planning to continue with us or go alone?"
Pasiphus then turned to Beluti and softly asked.
If one observed closely, they would notice Pasiphus’s deanor was sowhat different from his usual style when facing Beluti.
With others, even Reiger, Pasiphus maintained a playful attitude.
However, when facing Beluti, Pasiphus shed his carefree deanor, becoming polite, gentlemanly, and tender.
This left Lilicia, observing nearby, speechless.
Beluti, however, seed unaware of Pasiphus’s special attitude directed solely at her and spoke up.
"I think I’ll go alone, so I won’t bother the two of you further."
This ti, Beluti accompanied Pasiphus and Lilicia purely by coincidence.
As previously ntioned, Beluti couldn’t refuse the invitation from the Kingdom of Hermit, hence attended the coming-of-age celebration the King of Hermit held for his favorite princess.
At that ti, Pasiphus and Lilicia were also among those invited.
The three of them appeared simultaneously at the ball hosted by the King of Hermit and received the news of the Savior’s arrival. Upon learning that Reiger was preparing to co to Nanirga, they naturally shared a common thought.
That is, to co to Nanirga and personally et the Master chosen by the Holy Sword in the Karedohart Empire.
Their motives for doing so varied completely.
Lilicia wanted to co because she heard that lo was serving closely by the Savior’s side.
Pasiphus wanted to co out of curiosity, obey his father’s directive to bring gifts, and because Beluti wanted to co.
As for Beluti, her purpose was entirely centered on Reiger himself.
Thinking about Reiger’s upcoming attendance and their solo eting, Beluti felt a flutter of excitent in her heart.
To have a private eting with Reiger, Beluti decided not to act with Pasiphus and Lilicia anymore.
"Is that so?" Pasiphus seed sowhat regretful and disappointed, saying, "Then, if you need any assistance from us siblings, do not hesitate to find us."
"After all, Sagelros and the Holy Sword Church share a close bond. Now that the Holy Sword guarded by the Holy Sword Church of Karedohart has a Master, both publicly and privately, we have a necessity to band together."
These words prompted complaints from the two not yet departed observers.
"Brother, if you want to get close to the Saintess, don’t involve , okay?"
Lilicia ntally grumbled.
"...I haven’t left yet, is saying sothing like this in front of really okay?"
Queler’s forehead lined with exasperation.
He had heard of the Fourth Prince of Sagelros’s unruly, carefree nature but did not expect him to be such an exaggerated character.
This was a type he had never dealt with before, causing him to repeatedly be manipulated by the other party today, which was quite annoying.
Even Beluti had to suppress a laugh, shaking her head, as she addressed Pasiphus.
"I understand, Your Highness." Beluti said, "Then I’ll take my leave."
Saying this, Beluti turned and left.
Pasiphus watched Beluti depart, seemingly a bit dazed.
"Stop looking, brother." Lilicia, unable to bear it, poked Pasiphus’s arm and whispered, "That’s the most popular Saintess in the Holy Sword Church, you don’t stand a chance!"
"...You’re truly my good sister." Pasiphus’s mouth twitched as he spoke, "At tis like this, shouldn’t you be encouraging your brother?"
"If there were a glimr of hope, I’d encourage you." Lilicia ruthlessly replied, "But this one is of such high stature that even your other brothers have returned empty-handed from proposing marriage to the Holy Sword Church!"
The implication was that even his serious brothers had failed, so obviously, his unserious brother stood no chance.
"Little sister..."
Pasiphus instantly clutched his chest, feigning severe distress.
Lilicia snorted lightly, shifted her gaze, and looked in the direction where lo had departed.
"I will not lose to you..."
This whispered declaration went unheard by anyone.
