Everyone imdiately turned their gaze to Reiger.
"Let explain."
Beluti didn’t let Reiger make the explanation; instead, she stepped forward and took the initiative to take over.
"Here’s what happened..."
Beluti inford everyone about how she had arranged to et Reiger alone and then encountered the trap set by the Dark Relief Center here.
She only concealed her purpose for asking Reiger out, but revealed everything else, including the matter of the Night Spirit amalgamation and the origin of the Dark Relief Center. She detailed how Reiger single-handedly thwarted the enemy’s plot without omitting any details.
As a result, everyone who learned what Reiger had just encountered here was both shocked and angry, and so even felt a bit frightened.
Because Beluti’s explanation was very thorough, everyone could easily picture the scene and understand the peril Reiger faced.
Realizing this, lo and Naisa felt especially frightened.
Fortunately, Reiger himself was extraordinarily capable, otherwise facing such a situation would have been certain death.
Lilicia and Pasiphus were also quite surprised.
"Even Saints would fall in such a perilous situation, and you managed to break through it without the Holy Sword?"
"The Dark Relief Center dispatched dozens of experts comparable to the Amber rank, and all of them were slain?"
The two royal descendants who first learned of Reiger’s strength were visibly shocked.
Even Queles, who had received so information from lo, was secretly astonished.
The head of the Dark Relief Center, Darkness, was soone he wasn’t confident in defeating.
Such a person, leading dozens of fighters of the sa rank, posed a high enough threat even if those fighters were weaker than him.
Yet, Reiger could easily eliminate these individuals while under the threat of the Night Spirit amalgamation and protect the Holy Maiden, Beluti at the sa ti?
What kind of strength does it take to accomplish this?
A Saint?
No! An ordinary Saint couldn’t possibly do such things!
"Even the High Council’s Speaker, who is far stronger than a regular Saint, would find such feats quite challenging?"
Queles beca increasingly astonished.
Everyone’s gaze towards Reiger changed.
"So... is it once again the doing of your Dark Relief Center?"
lo looked at Renani with eyes that grew colder and colder.
"The Night Spirit amalgamation... I didn’t expect the Abyss to have prepared such ans."
Naisa’s expression grew more solemn.
Knowing that the Abyss was plotting to breach Nanierga and the plan had reached a stage where it could be clearly implented, Naisa felt deeply fearful.
Queles and the others felt the sa.
The thought of Nanierga being breached brought a chill to everyone’s hearts.
If the Dark Relief Center really accomplished this, the Source would be in grave danger.
Thinking of this, everyone’s gaze towards Renina also turned icy, and so even harbored killing intent in their eyes.
"Born in the Source, you humans, do you feel no sha helping the Abyss invade this world?"
Lilicia voiced this indignantly.
"Sha?"
Upon hearing Lilicia’s words, Renani seed provoked, temporarily subduing her fear of death.
"To people like you who were born privileged, destined to have everything, you must not understand how disappointed we who struggle at the bottom of society feel about this world, right?" Renani reverted to a sowhat sneering tone. "In your eyes, everything about this world must be beautiful."
"But for so people, the world they see is filled only with despair."
"To put it bluntly, people dissatisfied with the world and feeling unjust about their fate can be found anywhere."
"Do you expect us to have a favorable view of the world of the Source?"
"Forget it, we don’t have the good will like those higher up."
Saying this, Renani’s tone also displayed a trace of hatred, indicating so unknown experiences.
At the ntion of those higher up, Renani’s emotions sowhat spiraled out of control, even suppressing her fear of death.
"You..."
Lilicia wanted to rebut but didn’t know how, puffing up with anger.
In contrast, the others were not swayed by Renani’s speech and continued to look at her coldly.
Beluti sighed and made a comnt.
"Perhaps this world has many flaws, but could it really beco better after the Abyss invades?"
"No, it wouldn’t. After the Source falls, the world would only beco hell, not heaven."
"Because of dissatisfaction, you want to destroy everything?"
"Such thinking is inherently mad, and we can’t agree with it."
Beluti didn’t speak with righteous indignation but like a compassionate goddess, filled with sorrow for the world.
Yet, because Beluti spoke with such attitude, Renani found herself unable to respond.
Unlike the others, Beluti had traveled the world and seen all kinds of lives at the bottom.
She could understand Renani’s thoughts and empathize, unlike the others who have no real perception.
Thus, her words struck a stronger chord in Renani than anyone else’s.
Naisa glanced at Beluti then turned back to Renani.
"Regardless of your views of this world, you attempted to harm His Excellency, which is a cri."
"After all, His Excellency isn’t from this world, nor connected with any injustice within it."
"For your purposes, plotting against soone who has only recently arrived in this world is simply absurd."
"Since it’s absurd, you should face the deserved punishnt and pay the price."
Just as Naisa finished speaking, Luan and Andre, who had been silently following her, simultaneously stepped forward as if ready to punish Renani.
"Wait...!"
Upon seeing this, Renani’s fear returned, and she retreated in panic.
lo and Queles furrowed their brows, about to speak, when Reiger preemptively spoke.
"I think you could keep her for the ti being."
Reiger said without any emotion.
"She ntioned her father is an elder of the Dark Relief Center."
These words startled everyone before the realization hit many.
If that’s the case, then this woman might have so value.
"I also want to learn more about the Dark Relief Center, even the Abyss."
Reiger lightly conveyed his intentions to everyone.
Evidently, this Savior wishes to extract so enemy intelligence from this uniquely positioned Abyss follower.
"I understand." Queles thought for a mont and imdiately responded, "If that’s so, let’s imprison this Abyss follower in the station."
Everyone nodded silently, seemingly agreeing with this decision.
Only lo, Naisa, Jelina, and Hilune felt so dissatisfaction.
They weren’t unhappy about the decision but about how the one who plotted against Reiger ended up with such light punishnt.
Yet, considering the night’s terrifying ordeal was partly due to their master privately venturing out, lo and Naisa promptly turned to Reiger.
"We have so things we’d like to say to you, Your Excellency."
"We trust Your Excellency is willing to give us so ti?"
Upon hearing the layered words, Reiger knew.
Tonight, I’m likely in for quite a scolding...
