Reiger recalled the map of "that empire" he had seen in ancient texts.
It was indeed worthy of being called the most powerful empire at the ti; even if you combined the areas of the current Careadohart and Sageros empires, it barely surpassed it, and not by much.
On this vast map, near the eastern position, lay the capital, Mistigo.

Naisa then displayed the map of "that empire" from eleven thousand years ago on the magical map and pointed at a position that lit up with a faint light.
"We should be at this position now."
Naisa moved her jade-like fingers and pointed to a corner of the map.
There, too, a light was flickering, and it had been flickering from the start.
Apparently, this magical map could also automatically display the position of its holder.
They looked and discovered it was a vast mountainous and marshy area.
Unfortunately, after eleven thousand years, even without the abyss’s erosion, such a long ti was enough for the terrain to change several tis.
So Reiger and the others weren’t surprised to find the black desert underfoot used to be marshland; they rely began discussing amongst themselves.
"If that’s the case, we don’t seem to be very far from Mistigo, do we?"
lo made a judgnt based on the distance between the two points.
"That’s correct." Beluti, who had been traveling outside, concluded based on experience, "If we had a carriage, non-stop, it would only take two days to reach it."
"But that’s assuming no obstacles." lo shook his head, "This land is too dangerous. Even if we could travel non-stop, we would encounter countless obstacles and dangers along the way. Overcoming them all would waste a lot of ti."
"Indeed." Naisa solemnly agreed, "Considering the possibility of detours when encountering obstacles, even more ti would be wasted."
Listening to the discussion, Reiger was deep in thought.
His original plan, if this land proved extrely dangerous, was to use teleportation magic to travel.
Just like last ti, he would send a summoned creature flying to the destination, and once it reached Mistigo, he could use [Teleport Portal] to transfer directly there.
During this ti, he would only need to use creation magic like [Create Fortress] to make a resting place and hide inside with lo, Naisa, and Beluti, comfortably living even in this dangerous land.

Unfortunately, upon seeing those omnipresent eerie abyssal creatures, Reiger abandoned this plan.
Because he was certain that if he sent out a summoned creature, no matter what it was, it would be consud by those dangerous abyssal creatures along the way.
Even if he summoned an undead, a creature without the breath of the living, there was no guarantee it could reach the destination smoothly.
If it were destroyed midway, the distance traveled would be completely wasted.
Based on this reasoning, Reiger couldn’t summon creatures to serve as transport, pulling a carriage laden with them directly.
Such blatant travel would certainly end in an abyssal creature attack.
In conclusion, the simplest and most straightforward travel thod Reiger could think of was reduced to one.
"I’ll clear the way myself."
Reiger made this decision.
"Clear the way yourself?"
The girls, still discussing, were montarily stunned.
"This is my thought." Reiger looked at the girls, smiled, and said, "You stay here, hidden in the resting place I make."
"Then I’ll fly toward Mistigo in the fastest and most efficient way possible."
"Once I reach Mistigo, I’ll confirm the coordinates and use magic to teleport back and bring you there."
Upon hearing this, the girls opposed the idea without hesitation.
"No!"
"This is too reckless!"
"How can we let you adventure alone?"
lo, Naisa, and Beluti all opposed and even protested.
"This is the most efficient way." Reiger insisted, "I have high-speed movent abilities, plus teleportation support, I might reach the destination in less than a day."
"As for danger?"
"If I’m alone, I can imdiately teleport away at any danger, instantly escaping the enemy."
"How could this be dangerous?"
Indeed, teleporting away at any sign of enemy contact removes most danger.
"But..."
The girls were still sowhat unwilling.
They understood how good Reiger’s plan was, but they didn’t want him to venture off alone, leaving them to wait silently.
If that were the case, what was the point of coming along?
"Just traveling, not necessarily fighting. No need to dwell on this." Reiger seed to grasp their thoughts, chuckling, "Less trouble on the road, the real battle begins at Mistigo."
It wasn’t that arriving at the destination solved everything.
Rather, reaching there was just the start.
After all, it connected to the abyss’s gateway, the initial site of the abyss’s invasion and consumption.
It was certain that the most, most dangerous, and most powerful enemies in the Black Land would be there.
Once they were ready to enter Mistigo, avoiding battle would be impossible.
Therefore, after reaching Mistigo, the real show begins; now’s just the appetizer.
Understanding Reiger’s intent, even reluctantly, the girls accepted his plan.
At that mont, Reiger chose a place and activated creation magic.
"[Underground Refuge]."
This was a tenth-tier magical skill comparable to [Create Fortress].
However, unlike creating a tower-shaped fortress, [Underground Refuge], as the na suggests, created an underground sanctuary. It only left an entrance on the surface; the main building was buried underground, invisible and inaccessible from above.
Notably, the created building didn’t occupy underground space but acted like a different dinsion, untouched by anything drilling underground unless accessed through the entrance.
Of course, its flaw was evident: the entrance had no defensive power and could be detected by corresponding intelligence magic, attacked imdiately by enemy Magic Singers.
Yet, in this world and land, who could use such intelligence magic to probe its location?
So, Reiger was very confident regarding the refuge’s safety.
Once the girls entered the refuge, Reiger imdiately closed the entrance and flew into the air.
"Let’s see what I encounter on the way."
Reiger’s lips curled up with a lively spirit, transforming into a streak of light and shot forward.
